This. The second half of the second film was to be focused on the bird dog fucking up the mexican cartels. But that was changed by the executives who decided that he should babysit the little girl, so faglords like could be appeased.

Sicario also had some work done on the script, so it wasn't 100% unfiltered Sheridan but Sicario 2 was going too far.
