I brought this up in another Lords of Chaos thread, but Jackson was supposed to play Varg before he had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts. It would've been a much better choice, but I still don't believe hiring a fat Jew to play Varg was anything more than a coincidence. Rather just last minute casting to get the film going.

I thought not-Maccaulay Culkin was pretty good in the serious bits too, he was pretty convincing in general. I still think the sole reason he was cast is because of how amazingly perfect he looks with paint though...
