Let's find MH370 together

there's already a thread

Gotta ask China for that one, after all, they took it.

youtube.com/watch?v=y9WgC4OijPA&

why are there so many disaster threads going up?

Not sure about the death toll but the screams in this freak me through fuck out

Mortal Engines.

Stop, we want this thread to stay off-topic.

Because the last thread was the best thread on Yea Forums I’ve read in years.

youtube.com/watch?v=7LKHpM1UeDA

youtube.com/watch?v=4GtUimzEq4U

then you have very low standards. There's a disaster/crash thread like that here or on Yea Forums several times a week

Last time we had a NASCAR crashing thread but that was MONTHS ago.
But if you like, feel free to post on the myriad of shit threads on the catalog.

Agreed

idk that's just how I feel maybe they're less frequent than I think

youtube.com/watch?v=Szwd-0tatdo

Yeah that's OK.
And threads on Yea Forums always devolve into pointless gore, that's not kino at all.

youtube.com/watch?v=S2ZOmMH4WHA

you have a link?

I've seen these kinds of threads every now and then on /pol/

what are the best natural disasters that could have been planned or orchestrated for some raisin like conspiracy type shit

...

oops

explain why you think china took it pls
I'm all on board for anything that makes chinks look bad

Tianjin was kino

How does someone just stand there and record while in the path of a tornado?

Cockpit records are inherently kino. You have the very robotic, unemotional voices of the warning systems and also the initially calm and then increasingly panicked voices of the pilots when they realize they're drad

youtu.be/yV6q0YcJaaE

I remember the /pol/ threads anons thought it was HAPPENING.

KURWAAAAAAAAAAAA

all the good stuff was posted in the last thread.
this thread sucks.

tbf it was around the same time China's stock markets were going through a rough patch. I miss the comfy threads where anons spammed Chinese stock excahnge websites with google translated "sell" messages and hoped for a happening.

>Polish president Lech Kaczynski and his wife were
among the 96 people killed.
WAT
What the fuck is wrong with slavs holy fuck.

I just watched almost every video from that last thread. Strange how the absolute morbidness of death draws everyone together, air disasters are especially eery for some reason, it's almost like you can feel their souls from the other side after hearing the audio of their final moments. Well thx tho Yea Forums looks like I'm not sleeping tonight

Me neither and I'm fucking dying for sleep.

youtube.com/watch?v=4rmu2-P18Is

>dying for sleep
Heh

Air diaster nightmares are the worse, they're so intense sometimes. The final moment of the dream when you wake up as your body/plane slams into the ground

Some guy in the 1970's had a recurring nightmare where he stood on a grassland and watched a plane crash before him. It was so real to him that he was convinced it was gonna happen.
According to him it was this flight en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Airlines_Flight_191
Dreams are spooky shit I tell you.

Reminds me of a Twilight Zone episode where this woman kept having a dream where she was being lured into a room in the hospital, it was the morgue. Then at the end of the episode everything from the dream, the number of the room, the lady in the dream, end up being the flight number and flight attendant of a plane she was boarding and she got off hysterical then the flight blows up on takoff all final destination tier

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_sole_survivors_of_airline_accidents_or_incidents

Imagine being the only one out of 100+ people to survive a horrible plane crash.

>I put my arms down to protect my ribs. The woman had stopped screaming. There was pressure but every so often it got tighter. When it wasn't tight, you were trying to gulp and get air. I strained my neck. There was a layer of hot air above your head, it was like a sauna. You'd gulp the air in but then you couldn't breathe out. You were taking sort panting breaths.

>I looked to my right and saw a bloke being passed down. I looked in his face and his eyes were shut. I never thought it would be possible for a person to turn that colour, he was white, seemed as if he'd been bleached in the sun, his lips and his nostrils were blue. It was as if he was wearing blue lipstick but this was real.

>He opened his eyes, his pupils were dilated and dark but he opened his eyes and looked as though he was slowly trying to focus at me. I started to cry, "It's alright mate your getting out, it's over!" I tapped his face at first then slapped him harder. We started to lift him up and he opened his eyes. He looked at me. We lifted him up and I said 'you're getting out.' He didn't blink. His pupils were getting larger. The lads on the fence grabbed him and he was gone.

>It was the strangest, surreal feeling of being in the open air, underneath a perfectly blue sky but not being able to breathe. Choking in the open air. It seemed that a foot above everyone's head there was this layer of hot stale air, no fresh air, no breeze, like an invisible roof above your head. I tried stretching my neck muscles upwards to try and find fresher cool air. It was also hot how but it was the aroma in the air that I had never smelt before or since. I could smell vomit, urine etc but this was something unknown. It smelt similar to other things but at the same time smelt nothing like them. It filled your nostrils, I could taste it, I tried to swallow to get rid of the taste but this was impossible because there was no moisture inside my mouth.

Damn I should watch that episode.
Sleepsnug is top comfy. Sometimes.

It's on Netflix
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Twenty_Two_(The_Twilight_Zone). Easily one of the eeriest ones I've seen

Sadly it's not on my country's Netflix.

tfw terrified of flying, is there any way to get over it?

If you drive, you're in more danger than in a commercial airplane.

>the old people at 22:00
damn ive never seen those before

Sneezing while driving could potentially kill you.

Chances are it won't happen in your flight, this is a fact. You can also narrow the chances by getting good, but expensive, airlines and also not flying that frequently.

So Final Destination literally ripped this episode off.

fun fact, the guy recording the second video was killed by the explosion, i dont remember if the phone survived or if it was found in the memory.

even ridiculously long flights that go 14+ hours?
I've never flown on a plane before in my life so that shit is extremely scary to me. Expensive airlines being $800+?

I don't know, if you seriously want to travel somewhere look around what's the best airline for your country. And also class doesn't matter, so you can save up on that.

Well most flights that do crash do so during or around takeoff or landing, so distance really doesn't factor into it. As for pricing, that does depend heavily upon the distance.

I think I'm gonna do a short flight which is a little over an hour just to get a feel for it. its kinda cheap too

>even ridiculously long flights that go 14+ hours?
Driving is incredibly dangerous. Any idiot can get a license and a car, people drive like maniacs, and there's no oversight. With airplanes, you have experts at the wheel, everything is instrumented and there is air traffic control on the ground assisting.

pretty much the only way you can fucking die in an airplane is mechanical failure. and the odds of that are incredibly rare.

Also gremlins.
Though I suppose they are classified as mechanical failure.

>the odds of that are incredibly rare.
Tell that to the poor souls who are in the small percentile that get screwed.

Small comfort for the dead, but until you've joined their ranks you shouldn't worry too much about flying. A million things are more likely to kill you.

>Dr. Arnold Barnett, of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, has done extensive research in the field of commercial flight safety. He found that over the fifteen years between 1975 and 1994, the death risk per flight was one in seven million. This statistic is the probability that someone who randomly selected one of the airline's flights over the 19-year study period would be killed in route. That means that any time you board a flight on a major carrier in this country, your chance of being in a fatal accident is one in seven million. It doesn't matter whether you fly once every three years or every day of the year.

>In fact, based on this incredible safety record, if you did fly every day of your life, probability indicates that it would take you nineteen thousand years before you would succumb to a fatal accident. Nineteen thousand years!

anxieties.com/flying-howsafe.php

Believe it or not, there hasn't been fatal plane crashes for YEARS now.
Look at this en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_accidents_and_incidents_involving_commercial_aircraft you'll find these last years people have survived plane crashes.

Think of it this way, imagine driving but you had to be trained 10 years to get your license, had guidance from controllers who are aware of every other car, and the car is routinely and rigorously inspected, that is why flying is so safe

But there's something really horrifying about having no control when you fly and how you could basically plummet thousands of feet, while still conscious to your room. Or God forbid the airplane breaks apart and you tumble out

this also unironically helps alleviate some of my fears tbhwy
thank you Yea Forums
now that I've said this, watch the plane crash with no survivors

But you get kidnapped by Bane and possibly become his bitch.

>guidance from controllers
>be a dipshit anyway

Harrison Ford almost fucking blew it landing his personal plane

youtube.com/watch?v=tzy9jCFk0Iw

This can't be happening! I'm in charge here!

If the plane disintegrates at cruise altitude you'll be dead before you hit the ground. But again the odds of such a thing happening are super low.

I was in a car crash, and being in control is no comfort. At least in a plane if there is a disaster you can be reasonably sure someone skilled at flying big planes is trying to rescue you. Pilots do save people all the time.

>there hasn't been fatal plane crashes for YEARS now.
only a matter of time now

...I forgot to say just in the US

Even the odds of being on the correct plane on disaster day are low. There are something like 100k+ flights worldwide daily.

In one of those audio recordings the plane has partially disintegrated you can hear the wind howling as the pilots attempt to save the plane, and they're very much conscious and aware. It sounded horrifying

real disaster kino right here....
