There's kind of a cinematic or even literary quality to his life. He's like a character from a great novel about how modern life can make a man go insane. But sadly he's a real person.

As for the delusions, i don't know, chris has always struck me as one of those people who only pretend to be sick (more sick, on his case) because it's easier than facing reality. In spite of all the stuff he's done I still feel pity for him. I feel like if he just had a better upbringing he wouldn't be where he is now. At worst he would just be a weird town recluse who writes fanfics, plays video games and goes to the occasional card game tournament.

when you live like chris and have little else of substance to focus on, something like a small headache takes the foreground and seems like a real problem. it's similar to how some people start relying on opiates for pain they didn't care about before after losing their jobs. and like you said he overblows everything anyway.

Considering the recent delusions, combined with the headaches, I'm wondering if a brain tumor might be in play.
