>$300 millions budget >78 other reasons why this is a bad idea >biggest box office bomb of 2919
>John Conner die! No reason!
I used to feel bad for aliens fans, but Jesus, you have to feel bad for terminator fans. Salvation was the only decent one of them out of the last four.
Seriously, pitch me on this can be a success instead of a giant money laundering scheme
They keep throwing in some other carrot hoping that'll draw an audience.
Salvation didnt have Arnold but it had Christian Bale and the SUPERSTAR Sam Worthington.... a year before Avatar came out. Genysis had Arnold again and the pudgy chick meme actress from GoT Now this one has Linda Hamilton and the genius idea of having a tranny Terminator
Josiah Gonzalez
WHy do they punish us so?
Jose Butler
Source on the 300 million budget? Last year they said it was 255. It's set for a 2019 release but still not even a teaser trailer is out.
Lincoln Walker
Genisys was so bad
Juan Mitchell
255 euros which is usd 300 mil
Sebastian Rodriguez
Jesus Christ, just don't 200M+ for anything not capeshit its not fucking hard
Adrian Lopez
They should have just stopped at 3. Now its just so fucked
>Why do they keep spending so much money on these? Most likely some kind of tax write off scam to hide their profits or shovel production money directly into their own pockets. I refuse to believe even Hollywood executives are stupid enough to think spending $300 million on a female centric Terminator movie 28 years after the last good entry in the franchise is a profitable venture.
Nolan Myers
Am I right that the director said that 255 million Euro budget before the film had even gone into post-production?
Cooper Murphy
It's gonna be one of the biggest box office bombs in history. With a budget of 300 million they need to make at least 600-700 million just to break even. Not a chance they will even pass 400. It's proven again and again that movies with all female casts are doomed to fail.
Yeah I was a pretty big fan. After the last one I'm done forever.
Hunter Sanchez
roof! who let you out of prison you racist prick.
Ayden Thompson
>should’ve stopped at two
Justin Flores
Wasn’t it so bad? Me and my wife were so excited
Aiden Brown
Who exactly is the demographic for this movie based on this strange combo of actresses? Why don't they just make a survival horror T sequel set in the future starring Dave Bautista leading his renegade group of human soldiers?
Jaxson Reyes
>without marketing
Dylan Phillips
No trailer? That's odd Its this.
Ryan Brooks
>and the SUPERSTAR Sam Worthington o_0
Thomas Price
Progsibenes
Ryder Martinez
>watching anything other than The Terminator and Terminator 2: Judgement Day shiggy
Ethan Gutierrez
Huh?
Jonathan Thompson
>not enjoying T3 for the fucking camp of it
Nicholas Lewis
Progresivenesss
Levi Thompson
>accepting that it completely and utterly ruins 2
William Martinez
>They should have just stopped at 3. Now its just so fucked Sarah Connor Chronicles is where I would have left it. Salvation has it's moments. Anything after is a waste of time. Genisys and Dark Fate will kill Terminator for a long time. Probably what Cameron wants since he has the rights back.
someone post ed furlong´s pasta i want it in my life i want it in my system.
Grayson Gomez
You didn’t like salvation?
Anthony Brown
>wanting the rights back when you have 213 avatar movies to make
Ian Brooks
Sam worthington blows ass, he's so fucking wooden. And it just went on and on. Definitively not kino. The best part was aic's Rooster playing on the radio in the truck
Idk the whole worthington half of the movie was lame af, i didnt care about the new guy kid or the little girl or the people they ran into... Idk it shouldve just been a different franchise, it didnt feel like Terminator to me at all. But im a total retard so who knows
Owen Sullivan
What's he up to these days? After Avatar and Clash of the Titans he seemed to fall of the face of the universe.
Colton Ward
>I used to feel bad for aliens fans, but Jesus, you have to feel bad for terminator fans
It's not just those. It's everything. Predator, Star Trek, Star Wars, Ghostbusters, Robocop, Total Recall, every movie and show and franchise people loved in the 80's and 90's now only exists to be raped and desecrated by shitheads who have no clue why people ever liked any of them.
If I was the king of the world I'd just outlaw all sequels forever. It'd do way more good than harm. For every one good sequel lost like that, ten thousand bad ones would be culled.
Ayden Davis
2 isn't definitive that the war will never come where as 3 just has fun with it. The original war was stopped, but it will always come eventually no matter how far you push it into the future. It perfectly set up doing a Future War movie which was then fucking ruined with whatever Salvation was followed by soft reboot Genesys.
SCC has its moments, but the TV writing was so bad for story pacing. At least they ended on a cliffhanger with people ending up in the future, but messing with the already done T1/T2 storyline to shove it into their own (at the time) current day was a bit painful.
What they need is a Terminator film that accepts that all of the films/series have happened and that because of this ongoing one-upsmanship between the two sides that the fabic of space/time is starting to get fucked up. One last movie to close out this franchise's messy history that explains multiple timelines (and thus multiple Johns, Sarahs, Terminators, etc) are killing everything. So you get a team up side vs side to fight for an end which closes us off and branches us to a new start to the franchise with some fresh ideas. That Skynet happens and that humans will rise against it (even being the Connors) is fine, but let's dig down and improve aspects of the story telling that deepen the stakes and emotional pull for the audience. Something that can be a real action scifi movie again the same way people can love Alien (a SciFi horror movie) and what was done for Aliens (a SciFi action movie)
Luis Hill
He's starring in the Avatar sequels of course. Worthington might even be one of the "X Days until Avatar 2" countdown fags.
Christian Johnson
>Was the tv show even worth a shit? If you want John and Sarah from T2 then this show continues their story pretty well. Not perfect but actually feels like a sequel.
I would agree, film staring bautista taking place in the 90's then becoming a horror due to the nukes/air attacks/lone terminators killing many survivors forcing bautista to use his wits, run, and regain his humanity as everything is gone. total budget 100- 120 m with a style like district 9.
Matthew Brooks
>it's a John pines to fuck his skimpy clothes Termibabe bot once again episode
Christian Flores
fuck.sounds kino.
Brandon Martinez
Directed by Neill Blomkamp? He's pretty good with effects. I could see it working if he got a good writer (as in he has ZERO input on the script).
Nicholas Ramirez
>giant money laundering scheme
I used to love these blockbuster movies, but I'm actively weaning myself off of them now. Some of the technical people are clearly talented, but it's all just shit in the end.
Seriously, it's all garbage, isn't it? I'm watching grave robbers and confidence tricksters, not people who care.
These franchises are dead and it’s time to stop making new films in these series. There are far more bad films than good.
Brayden Bennett
>What they need is a Terminator film that accepts that all of the films/series have happened and that because of this ongoing one-upsmanship between the two sides that the fabic of space/time is starting to get fucked up. One last movie to close out this franchise's messy history that explains multiple timelines THIS times x1000. One last movie to close the cluster fuck multiple timelines.
T3 is inferior in every way to T2. I'm only saying the crane scene is kind of enjoyable in that it's got some decent practical action. The camera work is ass compared to what Cameron did and the music is missing as you said.
Hunter Johnson
Not even close. SW lacks a single good movie.
Isaac Bennett
The first two SW movies are competent sci-fi fantasy movies.
Brody Allen
>SW lacks a single good movie. I think Star Wars, while they are fun movies they did contribute to the downfall of scifi in movies. Especially now, capeshit is not helping either.
>Salvation was trash. T3 was the last good one. No way. T3 turned Terminator into a TV movie. It played up the comedy from T2 and destroyed any sort of chance at being a true sequel. Again, it has it's moments. Salvation and TSCC at least tried to make a real sequel.
