I watched it live.
It was weird seeing Michael Richards so morose and begging. Honestly rather unsettling. The audience did not know whether to laugh or not, which of course prompted Seinfeld's famous response. But who could blame them? It was on a comedy show, after all. Very strange spectacle.

It was one of the cringeyest things I have ever witnessed. I was so uncomfortable, because I was such a huge Seinfeld fan.
It surpassed the episode where Dave Letterman had Hatsune Miku on as musical guess, that that was cringey beyond fuck, Dave acted like "What in the fuck is this shit???" during the whole part with Hatsune Miku.
