How do I make this go harder?

trash thread baker

On audionews
Abdulaziz.DSP.Abdulaziz.Panorama.v1.2.0.Incl.Keygen-R2R

My shitty logitech headphones vibrated so much it tickled my ears user, I think it's hard enough. Maybe add a breakdown in the middle or something idk

bandcamp or soundcloud?

instagram and tiktok

Who are some other artists who have released stems of their music like Charli XCXs Vroom vroom EP and 1000 Gecs?

>sample a track
>my trap drums I do on almost every single thing just don't seem to work
>fuck
>wait
>try to make my drums more boom bap
>track starts working a lot better
feels good, recc some music and tips to get out of my comfort zone.

rip grande stems from beato

I think it's pretty hard. wat 808 is that?

MAKI!!!!

The sorry bout that 808 you should be able to find it if you search up kankan or yeat drumkit on Reddit. You can also make something similar if you get a long 808 and put the attack up a bit like a old ripsquad beat.

Thanks. I thought I was getting decent at prod but then I listened to your track and realize I have a ways to go, and I want to put vocals on my stuff too. I'm grinding every single day for hours though.
You got any tips? How do you figure out your sound selection and melodies? I think that stuff and stepping outside of my comfort zone are my biggest issues right now.
I really like your track, I felt like I learned something.

whomstve?

Bro I always think I'm good and then hear other people and am like I'm ass. Idk where you're at but you can't be far behind me because I'm still a noob.

Idk how I did sound selection it's a twizz beat so like the chords are pretty much just a square wave the verse has a hell simple sine pluck and a sine lead with portamento that's bitcrushed so much you can't tell what notes it's playing. I used a different glide lead for the chorus and a tubular bell BC it's a yeat beat.

Basically to make chords like that get a bass line and then add the fifth to it and either make it sus2 or sus4 and then spread the notes out to make the chord sound like anthemic and add a top line.

Write your melodies in pentatonic major if you want them to sound like that a lot of the new wave with Ken and shit rn is just suspended chords pentatonic melodies and those sorts of sounds. I made this with stock plugins but if you have serum download like shinju and synthetic banks and you'll have way better sounds.

Don't tell everyone about how to write the chords and melodies sauce can't be spread around or it's not sauce anymore

what’s a good rule of thumb for how many layers?

I forgot there's also a square bass but you'll have to watch a YouTube video to figure out how to make that sound search up like "how to make ken carson square bass sound" you'll probably find it. That's another really common sound in these beats.

what the FUCK is this shit

Do all expensive vst/plugins use DRM? I was thinking of buying omnisphere or diva or arturia but not if it forces me to install some daemon that sucks cpu on my machine

If you're a noob I'm squarely in NGMI territory right now. Just gotta keep at it I guess.

Much appreciated btw, I forgot to tell you.

both

someone needs to make a plugin that pans frequency information in the style of a parametric EQ.

fr fr

I want something that fulfills the roles of a synthesizer, digital piano, sequencer, drum pads, etc.. with 88 keys. What are my options? I know that the Nord Stage pretty much has everything covered, but those go upwards of 3-4K. Are there decent options at the 1 - 2K pricepoints? I was eyeballing the Roland Fantom 08 it seems like a good option.

Can anyone define this genre for me

I wanted to make a tech house tune but i ended up with this

does this sound full enough to you guys, ive been getting really into industrial lately and want to expand into that sound

idk man

You're saying like put the highs a bit to the right and lows to the left? Can't you just do that by splitting the bands and then panning them?

Deleting all factory presets of the synths i own was the best decision I've ever made producing

I think I can do it with EQ 8 in L/R mode and some LFOs

another day of being stuck in front of my DAW, should I just do whatever and start doing shit? I'm tired of not having direction and doing something I actually want to make.

shoulda bought hardware synths

that just makes it worse if you don't know how to play.

i like vital it has nice pristine sound

This. I miss watching Love Live and listening to the music for the first time.

Sorry for breaking containment but my ear training is shit and they just memed me when I asked in the thread. What are the opening bass notes of this track?

how you gonna learn, nigbert?

i don’t think i’ve ever once used a preset i don’t even know how to find any of them

It's not so much that I've really ever "used" a preset, like, in actual production but often times I get lost in just noodling around on presets when that time would be better spent working toward a specific sound. When I open my menu of presets I only want to see what I myself have made and become deeply familiar with those sounds.

another day, another muzak track

Any fellow boomers want to make 2004-2009 trance? Along the lines of Sean Tyas, Simon Patterson, Fictivision, Talla 2xlc.

I've realized that I hate reverb

>boomers
>trance
Yes.
I don't know those people you posted though.

Been doing this since the start...
Have had to routinely delete and update my presets because I made too many early on though lol. Quality over quantity for sure

Same

Less early 2000s cheese more driving bassline at 2am vibe. Castles has always been on my "I'll remix it eventually" list lool. I'm pretty sure theres an acapella floating around.

Early 2000s stuff within that realm

This works, although it's kinda clunky to use.

Nice. I'm really digging that fiji remix.
I feel like I had built up a pretty big 90s trance collection back when I was in college, but I completely forgot about it. I'll need to dig through my old computers to see if I still have it.

Got my waifu up and running, getting started now. Let me know if you want to join in.

how can i make the drop fucking HIT
i feel like it lacks impact

There are plenty that do it. Also your mixes are probably so shitty that no one will notice your trash panning

What the hell kind of posts am I reading here? Do you idiots just throw any shit that pops in your mind at the wall to see if it can get any sort of response? This thread's general IQ seems particularly low, man....
