Is he one of the greatest film characters of all time?
Jack Sparrow
They tried to remake this movie 4 times and never succeeded
Now hold on just a moment
>twitches face muscles
Dead man's chest was pretty good though
2 and 3 were good tho
>unironically hating on Dead Man's Chest/At World's End
You have to go back
In terms of being iconic yes. In terms of writing, no.
3 was hot garbage. 1 and 2 were good tho
No they WEREN'T you fucking mindless, easily satisfied goyim CRANKS
Only until the third movie where he suddenly made him a pirate kang or some shit like that.
No. He was a neat side character that kinda stole the show because the main character was so fucking bland.
He should never have been the star.
Reminder that this exists
Yea alright. I forgot about that. I guess 2 had a couple redeeming qualities. A couple. But that is IT
JAG SBARRO
He was only tolerable in the first movie, where there was a shade of actual depth and mystery to his character. But even there, the writing started to fray apart pretty badly towards the end.
But Jack IS the main character, everything is about him and his adventures from the movie 1, wich is the black pearl HIS BOAT, HIS CREW, HIS CURSE
He is the best pirate , and has a daddy whos king of kings of course
>had opportunity to make magic pirate film franchise
>make low-brow comedy with stupid stupid writing disguised as magic pirate film instead
>ruin chances for future of potentially great genre
2 was really solid. While not as nice as the first, it was a good way to expand what was a simple adventure movie and give it more of a world, while keeping a lot of the elements that worked in the first one.
3 was awful. Got rid of any feelings left from 1 and instead replaced all of it with bland as fuck generic setpieces that could just as well have been from any Hollywood action summer blockbuster, with a plot so stupid it makes Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom look like The Brothers Karamazov.
4 was okay, don't get the massive hate it gets, sure it's not great, but it sure is better than 3 that's for sure. Pretty decent, which is more than can be said for most Hollywood movies.
5 I don't even remember anything about except for the fact that Jag Sbarrow was a shitty villain.
Fuck fishniggers
the epitome of shit taste
how anyone can shit all over 3, one of the best blockbusters of all time and then praise 4, the worst movie in the series, is beyond me. you're an utter faggot. kill yourself.
He was, but my point is he shouldn't have been. It mostly worked for PotC 1 because of the tighter scope and a very set goal. Jack's story served more to hamper the main goal of the plot, rather than being the main goal, and for that he worked great.
Dead Man's Chest and World's End are shit on entirely too much. They're fantastic films and also completely unique. The action setpieces in them far exceed the first film and Davy Jones is an exceptional villain, and they actually managed to bring back Barbossa without it being too forced. All and all, they're not perfect but they're still good and always fun to watch. I'd consider Dead Man's Chest just as good as the first one honestly.
Because the farther PotC gets from a generic action blockbuster the better. 4 was more of a return to the old adventure movie formula.
3 basically feels like watching something pointless like Transformers # or Fast & The Furious #. There's just no value there.
That said I will say 3 had some damn pretty good visuals.
>Hoist the Colours
>Locker + boat flipping scenes
>Cutler Beckett and Davy Jones
>Jack+Barbossa banter
>Wedding scene
>Norrington's death
>Just Good Business
My kinometer is off the charts
someone post dongcopter i don't wanna get banned again for posting nsfw on special ed chan
Cutler Beckett was awesome
YAG SBARRO
Who the hell is Jack Sparrow?
Shame those few great scenes were in service of a horrible plot.
>plot
Who gives a fuck?
People who aren't Chinese or braindead.
