I dont even like that character but this show is still very watchable, the way it's shot is so much better than Breaking Bad

Fantastic show. When I was watching Breaking Bad, the number one question on my mind was How Did Gus Build His Meth Lab? Well Vince, the genius, shows us how over the course of 4 hours and nearly a whole season. Fantastic. I also love his incredible attention to small things, like Jimmy and Kim's plans for their law firm, instead of making the show about goofy sleazy lawyer adventures.

can someone who's watched this tell me does it change tone - it sounds like it does. Breaking bad was a really black comedy at the start and became 'harrowing drama' shit quickly. This show was a kind of awkward mix in season 1 - a lot of flat falling pure comedy moments "big ganster runs away tail between legs" "talking toilet" and the unfunny drawn out stuff like jimmy's scams and muh car shitting- mixed with the 'heartache' / 'lonely' evocations - it almost worked but now it sounds like it's done the bb and gone to 'harrowing drama'. Is it still attempting comedy at all?

Season 5 ends with Mike reluctantly killing a German engineer he formed a brotherly relationship with because the German betrayed Gus's orders in favor of reuniting with his wife for a day.

It started out as something kind of different but at this point it's basically breaking bad 2.0. Lots of drama mixed with action that doesn't really fit.

Pleb here, I hope this shit show returns soon so I can catch some kino sleep wrapped up tight in my foil blanket.

what if i told you i really like when nothing happens in tv and film but i disliked this show because the things that did happen, when they happened, were either lame or not pulled off ?

The implication is next season will have a focus on Kim and Jimmy pulling off lawyer scams, so it might.

Season 5 had very few comedic segments, mostly focusing on Kim/Jimmy's relationship and Chuck's death and Mike overseeing the meth lab construction.

Great show although the Gus subplot is kind of boring. Lalo seems like he'll be a cool antagonist. I REALLY hope those cringeworthy faggots "The Cousins" never show up in this show again.
