That's a big question and it depends on a lot of things. If you're not too old, ask around with your friends and family and see if they can get you in the door somewhere. If you have nothing going for you as far as connections or experience, I would personally recommend getting a job at a restaurant. They're always understaffed and willing to take just about anybody. The job will suck, but it will be better than nothing. It will be your first step, use it as a ledge to climb towards something better.
My thing is that the chicks who hit on me typically aren't that attractive, or at least not my type. I'll fool around if I'm drunk but I never have the desire to take it any further. And about my optimism, man... by my own personal standards, I've been slowly improving my life in my own little ways the past number of years. I don't know what you've got going on in your life dude, but as long as you're still alive you can still make a positive change.
