post some good movies Yea Forums might not know about
HIDDEN GEMS
I never see it talked about.
Just making me feel guilty that I haven't gotten to any of those or any other samurai films on the list I have. I just keep rewatching Godzilla flicks instead.
BTW old thread:

>the known universe
this is a side story to dune right?
It decreses on quality, first one is best, second one has a great ending scenes and third one meh it's good enough.
Funnily the same director made a movie about the main villian's life before, with appareance of Miyamoto Musashi as the "villian" and also portrayed by Toshiro Mifune, which was interesting to watch the other side of the story.
Enter the Ninja
I've never seen the movie with Musashi as the villain. I'll check it out.
I saw Flesh & Bone recently and I was blown away by how good it was. It could NEVER be filmed today. I should've expected it because it's directed by the same guy who did Robocop...
So is this Rutger kino half as good as that?
sorry I actually meant Flesh & BLOOD. Here's the poster.
Fortress (1992)
Dark Angel (1990)
Posetitel muzeya (1989)
Le dernier combat (1983)
Nosutoradamusu no daiyogen (1974)
Brainscan (1994)
Nattevagten (1994)
Exotica (1994)
No Escape (1994)
Not OP but it is good. It takes place in a post-apocalyptic wasteland and is about a sport people play. One of the better post-apocalyptic films out there.
>Le dernier combat (1983)
bessons first few films were kino and nobody talks about them
I assume you mean Flesh + Blood. It has much of the same feel, but post-apocalypse sci-fi traveling gladiators instead of late medieval mercenaries on the run. The direction isn't as good, but it's definitely enjoyable.
Looks kino. I'm a sucker for Best of the Best 2. The original is a kind of meh Karate Kid with adults but the sequel ramps it up to 11.
The Boost (1988)
James Woods plays a guy struggling with cocaine addiction
the Italian ripoff of The Vikings is good as well
Play Dirty (1969)
The Last Valley (1971)
L'armée des ombres (1969)
10 to Midnight (1983)
The Wild Bunch (1969) ( Not so much a hidden gem, but most folks don't know it)
Harry Brown (2009)
Get the Gringo (2012)
Die xue jie tou (1990)
Charley Varrick (1973)
The Friends of Eddie Coyle (1973)
The Long Goodbye (1973) (Kino)
The Seven-Ups (1973)
The Driver (1978)
Milano Calibro 9 (1971)
Almost Human (1974)
Revolver (1973)
Just saw this recommended here a few days ago and it was really good if you're looking for a cry. Dying (pancreatic failure) popular high school girl befriends the class loner when he finds out her secret (she doesn't want any of her friends to know she's dying).
guy gets brainwashed by a cult
A Field in England
the ultimate redpill
HK crime thriller set during christmas time featuring an incredible shootout in kowloon walled city
Oh fuck, it's Josie.
I liked it more than I was expecting to
Ghost Dog with Forest Whitaker
When I saw the film cover and heard the name is sounded like total schlock. But it ended up being really good and not schlocky at all.
i hope you realize that it was the anime that was recommended.
It is a Jim Jarmusch film.
When I first saw it I had no idea who that was nor what Le Samourai was which Ghost Dog is essentially an adaptation of. All I had was the title, the cover art, and Forest Whittaker. I’m glad someone told me it was good and not some “Leprechaun in the Hood” tier schlock.
best experienced cold but i will say it's my favorite revenge film that wasn't made in south korea
Hey, they copied Bloodborne
It's older than Bloodborne.
Gladiator has literally the exact same plot
Rutger haurer is the king of unkino
Why is every Van Damme flick about a fucking contest? It's like he tried to remake Bloodsport 10 different times
I'm guessing because they sold well.
It's shit, Jim
Yeah, it's just annoying how little variety his films have compared to other 80s/90s action stars. It's like I've already seen Bloodsport, and Kickboxer, and Lionheart, no desire to watch another "JCVD gets involved in an underground contest" movie
I hope this is sarcasm
well then watch hard target or double team or double impact or sudden death or timecop or any of the universal soldiers instead. are you gonna watch three rocky movies and complain that all stallone did was boxing flicks?
Not a Stallone fan. It's just that I'm looking for a movie to watch and the film sounded really interesting until the last few sentences of the synopsis when it said "btw this is Bloodsport all over again." Carry on

watch when they get into the tubes
A lot of his newer ones are hardened ex-whatever movies. This one wasn't half bad.
loves that movie as a kid
joan a cute
No Retreat, No Surrender 2 and 3
Fun as hell martial arts films
RAVENOUS
Pickpocket
Frailty
It's been a LONG time since I've seen this but it seems the DVD release synopsis is ignoring the whole cold war aspect of the plot. Wasn't this USA vs Russia with single combat replacing war over territory?
We had two good threads while ago

I think it takes place after WW3. Nations now form larger blocs and they settle international disputes with giant robots in arena combat. The Russians and Americans are part of competing blocs.
pretty solid non guy ritchie british gangster flick
