I'm of course talking about the new Moominvalley series based on Tove Jansson's Moomin books and comics.
I'm so fucking thrilled, it even have a pretty decent budget for kids tv-series (21 million euros).
This shit looks so good.

I mean the guys hustle some coke, LSD and weed in Riviera, survive acopalypse, get enslaved into a zoo, get gambling habbit in Monaco and fuck around with 600 year old wizard who can fly with his panther.
The series are directed by Steven Box (the guy behind wallace and gromit).

I dont know whether people from States are familiar with moomin franchise but these guys are massive in Europe and Japan.

I recently read Moominland Midwinter and got mesmerized by the simplicity of the beauty of Jansson writing.
I'm worried of how they are gonna extend the stories. But nonetheless I am pretty glad the Moomintrolls aren't forgotten.
The first preview reviews are very very good.

I've seen images before and have been intrigued but know nothing about moomin. Can someone give me a quick bogdown, where do i start?
I would recommend starting with the books and comics.
Then move to the 90's anime, then to the 80's animation and finally the movies.
