The pusher trilogy was great, bronson was decent, Valhalla rising was peak kino and probably top 3 movies of the last 20 years, drive was decent, only god forgives was really good and neon demon was great. Refn is respectable and didn’t lose his soul after his big hit, drive, like Nolan did.
One of the only honest directors of his generation.

valhalla rising was slow as fuck. That boat scene felt like it lasted half an hour
neon demon was decent but the themes were so fucking on the nose it was embarassing.

bronson was okay, kind of a quirky character that is hard to fuck up. havnt seen pusher but fear x was fucking dogshit holy moly. Only god forgives was just okay, mostly due to its stunning cinematography and music. Often when characters spoke for more than 3 sentences the writing began sounding like porn, plus it and valhalla had major pacing issues
