they where both ok, but the lighting used in leias shots was fucking horrible, and the post processing used to soften things up made it worse.

It seems like one of those things where they spent so much time trying to get it right, and looked at it so much, that they lost their ability to objectively judge how good/shitty it looked.

Everyone's face has some sort of difference between the two sides that's like mistake 101 you shouldn't ever do. It's okay for a video game but if you're fucking modelling a real person with the intent of it looking like a real person? You model all that shit by hand with no mirroring at all.

The problem with CG Tarkin is that they relied too much on the new actor's eyes. The rest of the face is actually pretty good.

That I can deal with. Cushing had such a unique voice though and the guy they used was nowhere near. That was the killer for me.

cushing looks like shit, looks even worse in motion. If you can't tell from that image it's just because the glaring flaws are hidden with shit lighting, making the character's face dark and hard to see which is not a good thing for a movie.
