The eclipse was where it peaked imo, Guts and his mammoth strength, griffith and his tactical genius, and the cameraderie and skill of the band of the hawk, all rendered meaningless in a gut wrenching orgy of death. It was the sum of Berserks miserable, unfair world, where everyone gets shit on no matter what. Definitely agree that when Guts got the armor everything took a bit of a dive in terms of risk factor, tension and horror
