This is top-tier rotoscoping.
Are there any other films with this kind of aesthetic and vibe?

cant think of any noteworthy rotoscopes
but withnail & I has similar druggy vibes
It doesn't necessarily have to have "druggy" vibes to it just a cool aesthetic of visuals and rotoscoping. Like I think there was a recent film done on Vincet Van gogh and his paintings for visual purposes.
waking life
>this is the only time we'll ever see her boobs
Do you think the animator saw them or he just made it up?
>start watching it
>this is stupid
>and boring
>holy shit what a waste of human effort
linklater sucks
>rotoscope animation.
>looks like a Snapchat filter
What a waste of time. I'll stick with Ralph Bahkshi
She showed them, albeit briefly, at the end of Sex and Death 101.
My favourite PKDICK adaptation. Especially since I related to the amphetamine abuse when I first watched it, I felt pain and enjoyment from seeing it. Also it’s one of the only roles that Keanu is more suited to than any other actor.
Criminally underrated film and ahead of its time
I just feigned being sick and left work gonna run by Walmart and pick up a six pack of Kleenex and head home. Thanks buddy.
Adult Swim show Dream Corp LLC has even better rotoscoping. Definitely will give you your fill
I love this show. It's one of, if not the absolute, best shows AS has ran.
>he hasn't levelled up enough to unlock the fake nude sense ability
user..... really?
I wish they made the software available to the public
Waking Life
agreed. Even though the movie is still one of the best dick adaptations, the animation is kinda hackish
sup zoomer bro. stay in school bro and always thoroughly inspect celebrity nudes for editing
Probably the next best thing after A Scanner Darkly.
>when the kid who writes in pavement ape scrawl tries to voice opinions on art
I always forget Alex Jones is in this film

Ralph Bakshi's American Pop (different vibe but great use of rotoscoping)
This movie kind of sucks.
First film I thought of.
You seem like the kind of guy who would stomp animals.
it's a documentary and closer to waking life quality rotoscoping but i thought it was quite well done

Reminder that /ourguy/ Alex Jones was in both of these films.
Is that a teratoma I see before me
Loving Vincent was actually an entirely oil-painted animated film
I loved the book, but should I bother with this? How does it compare?
I enjoyed them both
Fire & Ice
Wizards
Waltz With Bashir was pretty interesting. Not as fluid as A Scanner Darkly though - a lot of the tweens are linear. It takes a little while to get used to.
the only other notable rotscoped shows I can think of are both animes Ping Pong is great and Flower of Evil was ok
The first Lord of The Rings film from the 70s
Wasn't the Walt Disney Snow White also basically rotoscoped?
Too bad the movie was terrible.
Back to your capeshit thread, stupid kid.
i know the disney animated movies from that era used a lot of live action reference footage but i don't think they relied on it as heavily as say bakshi
Is there a version of the movie without the rotoscoping?
Yes but it was shot on DVCAM without proper lighting so its not kino. It was intented rotoscope from the start
Neo Tokyo 1987
