Chowder deserved better from its *writers*. I love the setting, the art design and the overall feel. It's all very cozy.
But Chowder himself went from a well-intentioned buffoon to a completely selfish sociopath over the course of the series, and was no longer fun to watch as a character.

Chowder unironically had one of the best cartoon endings in the last 10 years of CN shows despite being an episodic comedy. It also had like 50 22 minutes episodes right? So we around 100 11 minute episodes. Not to mention it shows up in like every CN bumper and anniversary animation. Hell it left so much of an impact on kids back then that it's being brought back into the mainstream (or at least acknowledged) with people like Lil Nas X referencing it and shit.
I love Chowder and I definitely wouldn't have had a problem with it going on longer but I think it's been treated pretty well overall.
