Hi OP. If you're interested in carrying on after this think you'd like the SMAX mini but both of the sequel spin-offs are pretty bad.

HI user

I've had a lazy day off. Played some LEGO. Need to find the minikit locator brick, dangit.

I will readily accept the SMAX mini

Shitty lyrics in comics are the overlap between Alan Moore and Marguerite Bennett.

yeah, the ordway sequel is total shit, and the one by ha and cannon just ended without resolving any shit

Hello, Storyteller.

>a new Arkham game to be announced at State of Play
Yet more fucking Batman. In case you hadn't had quite enough of the Bat-cock being forced down your throat.

omg, it's funny because it's true

what's she up to these days, anyways. I see the Shelley Bond imprint at IDW ended rather uh suddenly and almost no one's saying anything of substance about why. I mean, I'm not surprised that "high prestige but niche" got axed, but

Attached: Top 10 Vol 1 TPB (2015) (Digital) (DR & Quinch-Empire) 124.jpg (1987x3056, 1.91M)

I think I have one of those but I've never actually played it, my backlog is still terrifying and undented

Attached: Top 10 Vol 1 TPB (2015) (Digital) (DR & Quinch-Empire) 125.jpg (1987x3056, 1.67M)

I found the Ordway one weirdly focused on pairing characters up & giving them happy endings. Other one wasn't good but was at least still a little mixed up.

epic store had the three main ones for free, plus the three lego batman games

Hi OP! These threads have got me near watching Hill Street Blues and other classic cop shows

praying for Suicide Squad

It's gonna be movie Squad though, not Ostrander squad

*clicks*

My one major disappoint in Lego Marvel 2 is that the Guardians and Ronan are totally movieshit whereas everyone else, at least so far, is considerably more comics-normative.

>1994
I made the mistake of looking at Gen Z shit/discourse today and now I can feel the flesh literally withering off my bones.

>Suicide Squad
Ugh, but that would mean more Harley.

Also, to be perfectly honest, WB games can fuck all the way off. After that shit they pulled with Shadow of War, I'm okay with not having any cape characters I care about getting forced into loot box infested trash heaps.

Like, I get that the movies are popular and nobody gives a shit about the comics, but come the fuck on.

damn nice ride there Smax

Attached: Top 10 Vol 1 TPB (2015) (Digital) (DR & Quinch-Empire) 129.jpg (1987x3056, 1.66M)

Harley is a price I will pay for Squad fame desu. I also liked Williams recent run!

anyway Gunn might drag them back towards the roots!

Lemire's Peacemaker back up made me wanna try and find those 80s comics

I see the beginnings of ANGRY ABOUT ELVES but no spoil please

Attached: Top 10 Vol 1 TPB (2015) (Digital) (DR & Quinch-Empire) 130.jpg (1987x3056, 1.8M)

The total nonchalant weirdness of this run is reminding me of Gene Wolfe somehow

Attached: Top 10 Vol 1 TPB (2015) (Digital) (DR & Quinch-Empire) 131.jpg (1987x3056, 1.91M)

Man I do not have the feet in fantasy to understand the mad about elves meme

outside of the gillen "complaining about tolkein accidentally doing an aryan master race" stuff

Mags comic was unironically pretty bad

I love that Gamma Pants billboard.

you pretty much need to re-read the main series after the Smax miniseries, because it 100% re-contextualizes everything about Smax
But don't worry, no spoilers.

I don't know either. I think it's a Skyrim joke? Either way, it's one of those really stupid memes that became so common that it stopped being ironic.

F

The /tg/ banner is Pelinal Whitestrake, who is a robot from the future sent back in time to kill elves because they're enslaving assholes. Weird TES lore is the best part of the games.

But it's hard to explain quite why it's always so funny--in part because elves always have an insufferable hardcore fandom, I think

>Lemire's Peacemaker back up made me wanna try and find those 80s comics
I think there was only a single mini starring Peacemaker in the 80s

oh fuck

There was a thread shipping PG and Captain Atom and it made me upset, what a pairing. no i haven't read the jli with them

yeah when i googled for stuff it seemed like he was just a supporting character in those 80s government DC books

>tentacled butt babes

/d/ is inevitable

He made his post-crisis debut in Vigilante, and was a fucking nutcase. I'm serious, look at this shit.
Kupperberg liked him, and kept him around by writing the Peacekeeper miniseries, then using him in his Checkmate! He pretty much went dormant after that 1990s Eclipso series, and then appeared in the 2006 Blue Beetle series (where they heavily downplayed how nuts he was).

Attached: Vigilante (1983-1988) 041-018.jpg (1988x3056, 1.72M)

Oh damn. Definitely gonna have to check these out

Kupperberg is a very solid writer

Hey OP. Is Satan going to command King Peacock to fuck that robit?

Yeah the Kupperberg stuff makes me wary to read cause I don't think i've read anything of his that was good? I legit didn't even know it was Peacemaker in Blue Beetle until like years after I read it. I just missed something

this is all just because i love the tagline "He loves peace enough to kill for it"

yeah, he was uhhh not remotely the same level of crazy in Blue Beetle

Attached: Top 10 Vol 1 TPB (2015) (Digital) (DR & Quinch-Empire) 136.jpg (1987x3056, 1.56M)

It's just so catchy

Those street signs are a nice touch, but poorly composited.

Glad you're enjoying LEGO.

Is King Peacock's style of devil worship like a rl thing? i'm ignorant

oh, and Checkmate had him arguing with the dead ghost/hallucination of his father, who was an SS concentration camp commander.

>suddenly aware that any of the porn stars I've seen could be a serial killer
...

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yazidism

>Peacemaker's dad is the guy from the joke about dying in the concentration camps by falling from a tower

lmfao this guy rules

it looks kinda like that avatar face stealer

also didn't think we'd see the serial killer this early but i guess it's about halfway

That reminds me. youtu.be/gLm5Sn1cMyQ

nervously googling "do dogs have pituitary glands"

RIP Steven Bocho.
The legendary mind behind Hillstreet Blues, L.A. Law, Doogie Howser, NYPD Blue, and fucking Cop Rock

"ghostly goose" is an amazing name

also, press Y to honk

Attached: Top 10 Vol 1 TPB (2015) (Digital) (DR & Quinch-Empire) 143.jpg (1987x3056, 1.88M)

Fame isn't worth it. Inviting new fans in just means there are more of THEM than YOU, and they're more likely to get pandered to, meaning less of the shit you actually liked in the first place.

>Hillstreet Blues, L.A. Law

i think along with game of thrones, mad men, and the west wing only dramas to win 4 best drama emmys

is Pillars of Eternity worth 5bux

well THERE'S a genre shift

the dog needs some love, so let's come back on Wednesday

Attached: Top 10 Vol 1 TPB (2015) (Digital) (DR & Quinch-Empire) 145.jpg (1987x3056, 1.8M)

This is one of my favourite subplots.
Have fun with the doggy OP

probably? it's the kotor and good fallout people right? i wanna get it but i dunno if i can do that style of rpg.

i didn't expect that but with hindsight it's very obvious and i love it

Okay, I kinda gotta give some props here. We go from apprehending the nightmarish Libra Killer... to Jacks going full on hands where I can see em on this coffee shop after a run in with the invisible groper. That's a great tone shift.

Despite the comic ineptitude of letting a dude shoot themselves with his gun, Diana's a good egg.

I didn't like it. Second one is apparently better.

Thanks for posting as always, Storyteller.

... Oh. Of course the ominous hole in the wall was superpowered costumed mice. Why the fuck not.

Also, it's kinda weird that the cops font have a uniform I get making them stand out character design wise, but it's still odd.

>Also, it's kinda weird that the cops font have a uniform I get making them stand out character design wise, but it's still odd.
There is a generic uniform from the concept art, but I don't think we ever see it in this series.

Attached: Top 10 Generic Cop.jpg (551x945, 201K)

I wanna know what WB Montreal’s second game is. We already know first one is Batman and Rocksteady is doing what’ll probably be a disappointing GAAS game, but what is the other project.

Well, shit. I was sure she was gonna be the Goose.

The uniform thing is a major plot line in the unfinished second mini. Someone at the very top the new commissioner decides that everyone at Precinct 10 has to dress in the standard uniforms, which presents problems for Irma and Bill Bailey because their superarmors are their "powers."

See you then, thanjs for running.

Bumpan

I ain't--
You are. You absolutely are. Now kill the damn thing. Moron.

I always keep forgetting who the writer was on the Ordway one. All I remembered was that he got the endorsement of Harlan Ellison and Warren Ellis.

>and the one by ha and cannon just ended without resolving any shit

Yeah it was due to low sales or something.

>this is all just because i love the tagline "He loves peace enough to kill for it"

That reminds me, there was an interview with Moore in Comic Book Artist years ago:

CBA: When I was a kid, I grew up in a rather left-wing environment, and I remember seeing The Peacemaker with the tag-line "He loves peace so much he's willing to fight for it." I thought, "Ugh. Too reactionary for me," and I_passed it by.
Alan: When I first read that, I thought, "Well, that's stupid!" [laughter] I was only about 10 or so, and I hadn't really grown up in a left-wing family—my family voted labor, and that was back when Labor was a socialist party—but it was a working-class family, probably not a very well-educated one, and so their political opinions didn't run very deep, but even so, yeah, the idea that "He loves peace so much he's willing to fight for it," [laughter] I could see the holes in that one straightaway.

CBA: Keith Giffen modified the tag line to read "He loves peace so much he's willing to kill for it." [laughs]
Alan: Bomb, murder, assassinate! Because we're not doing The Peacemaker or The Question, we could be much more extreme with all these characters. We probably couldn't have had The Question living in a completely filthy slum room and being mentally disturbed, who had a personal odor problem, and be a little guy who was ugly—you would've had to have had Vic Sage, successful TV commentator.

Figures they drag their feet on this until a Cop gets their ass grabbed.

It was weird. Ha and Cannon got four issues. They must have assumed it was going to be a hit or something, because they seeded lots of plots but barely resolved anything. Bleedingcool tried to start some shit in 2013 by saying that "Gene Ha Hates DC," but Ha replied by saying that he doesn't like The New 52 (wanted broader titles, which they actually did have at the start but all were cancelled because $$$), but the rest of season 2 never happened because DC thought the sales were too weak to really sustain it. He did say he wished he put more issues into the contract he had signed with them.
They got a fifth issue as a special back in 2009, but nothing since.
