I'm a Disney Cast Member, Ask me Anything

The last thread was a pretty big success, so I figured I'd do another!

I'm a Character Captain at the Magic Kingdom. I've seen a lot of threads about Yea Forums related theme parks, and answered a lot of questions in them, so I figured I'd start a thread, again!

Quick run down.

>I work at The Magic Kingdom, but pick up in all 4 parks and water parks/hotels
>I have 7 years with the company, and I've worked on both coasts.
>I started as an Attractions Cast member at The Haunted Mansion in Disneyland
>I've been an attractions Cast member, a character host, a performer, and now I'm a Character Captain

has anybody ever fucked in costume?
what are the princesses really like?

I don't blame you. He's pretty cuddly.

>has anybody ever fucked in costume?
No, and anyone who says they have is a liar
>what are the princesses really like?
Like any other group of girls in their 20's. Some are cool, some are catty bitches.
In my experience, most are pretty cool.

How hot is it in those suits?

Do you guys remember to drink water on a regular basis?

What's the worst thing most employees deal with?

Which attraction is your favorite?

What made you want to get a job at Disneyland?

We also have a Yea Forums theme park discord if anyone wants to join since jannies are trying to get rid of theme park threads.

>How hot is it in those suits?
No, it's like a cool oasis...
Yes it's very, very hot.
>Do you guys remember to drink water on a regular basis?
They remind us constantly. Which is good, because it's easy to get dehydrated.
>What's the worst thing most employees deal with?
FUCKING FURRIES

Nah, Just kidding. Annoyingly attentive parents are my personal pet peeve.

>Which attraction is your favorite?
The Indiana Jones Adventure
>What made you want to get a job at Disneyland?
I grew up in LA and always loved the parks. When I was in college, I found out about their internship program, and it all kinda fell into place.

Are you glad you didn't get a speaking character?

What does a captain do? Just organize all the people in costumes?

Actually, I have played speaking characters (Called "Faces" in WDW and "Look-Alikes" in DLR), just not super often

Basically. I keep an eye on a number of meet and greets to make sure they are running smoothly.

What's this guy's deal?

Any interactions with Imagineering? I work in themed entertainment as an experience designer and I'm curious how much interaction you guys get with the designers.

He gone.
Not much. There was a WDI HQ behind splash Mountain at Disneyland, and there is backstage in Epcot, but I've never really had extended conversations with them. The most i had was a cool seminar with one at a Leadership Speaker series about 5 years ago.

how do we stop photopass boxes

We can't. Disney almost never admits when they make a mistake. They'll let Photopass burn to the ground before they'll admit that this hundred of thousands of dollars investment as a bad idea.

Based Splash Mountain user.

Attached: zeke based.jpg (255x278, 28K)

Why is it considered bad? I think I only used one once.

I just wanted to ask about galaxy’s edge
I’ve heard stories it has not being doing well
Is this true

They take REALLY bad photos. At least compared to photographers. And they basically force the characters to rush through their interactions.

Man, that takes me back...

It's been doing fine, it's just not the runaway success that Disney was expecting. I think they did too good of a job over-preparing for it's opening, and scared people off. Also, I think they should have waited for both rides to be open and the shows to be ready.

Is it true attendance has been shot and executives are panicking?

At Disneyland, yes. Not here at WDW. I wouldn't say execs are panicking, but they ARE trying to figure out what went wrong. Disneyland was a ghost town this summer. If you've never been, this last summer would have been the perfect time.

What are some mistakes the company has made that they refuse to own up to? Does the company make mistakes often? Are either version of Galaxy's Edge considered failures?

I went in late March and had a fantastic time. The Max Pass system there is infinitely times better than fast pass over here. Was able to ride Indiana Jones, Space Mountain, and Matterhorn back to back multiple times in a single day without going through standby.

How many children abducted by predators and people that come to epcot to kill themselves does the company cover up per year?

Got anything on Bob Chapek?

Went during the opening reservation weekend for GE. Seeing the park that empty is every theme/amusement park goer's dream; to be able to hit all the best shit in as little time as possible. It was a telling sign of things to come when I was able to get in line and on the Matterhorn in under a minute. Hell, even the single rider for Radiator Springs Racers was only about a 10 minute wait, which is almost unheard of from my understanding.

Closing popular rides and replacing them with bad ones (Journey into Imagination is the best example), getting rid of popular shows and meet and greets (Still no Moana Meet n Greet in WDW), making hasty decisions without thinking them through (James Gunn, but they did finally own up to that one, shockingly).
Max Pass is cool, but it's killing Photopass
Children are never abducted, actually. Disney Parks has never been unable to reunite a family, though attempts have been made. As for suicides, they aren't super common, but they do happen... A dude threw himself from the Contemporary a couple of years ago. Why did you pick Epcot specifically?
I wish.

Tell us, what is the truth about the Secret Police?

Yea they fucked up by letting Warner Bros get James Gunn to do a Suicide Squad sequel. I honestly wish he'd stay with DC.

How many gay guys work as fast members? I've fucked an Aladdin, Petter Pan, and got a blow job from a prince Philip. I live in Orlando btw.

Is there any general consensus on either Bob?

>children are never abducted
Ah the old 'nothing can possably go wrong' approach.

Holy shit lmao. My friend was telling me how his ex boyfriend cheated on him with Peter Pan years ago. Imagine getting cucked by fucked Peter Pan.

Yeah, it was crazy. five minute waits for Space Mountain and Indiana Jones. it was a dream come true. I wish I could have gone.
They're watching you right now.
I don't believe you, but about half of us are gay.
Iger is boring but competent, and Chapnek is a BITCH ASS
No, really. No child has ever been successfully abducted from a Disney park. They're actually a pretty bad place to try it, if you think about it.

Lol the funny thing is the Peter Pan I plowed was a little twink boy who also worked at Abercrombie and Fitch.

If he still works at MK, I think I know who you're talking about.

Honestly idk he was a Grindr hook up

Is it true that if I come into the park in a wheelchair, even if I'm not disabled, I can skip to the front of the line on any ride?

>Iger is boring but competent, and Chapnek is a BITCH ASS
That's... Not quite the subdued opinion I was expecting.

I know that while Iger lacks vision, he is typically making the best decisions financially. But what is the gripe with Chapek? I know he's cheap, but have you heard anything from the grapevine about him? What concerns do you have? Is he in the running for CEO following Iger?

Do female cast members ever let hot dudes feel them up? Or is it impossible because of all the guards around them?

Every get sexual with another crew member?

>I know that while Iger lacks vision, he is typically making the best decisions financially.
Unfortunately, the best financial decisions are often the worst creative ones.
>But what is the gripe with Chapek?
Raising prices, slashing budgets, all but totally killing live entertainment at WDW, replacing popular attractions, turning Epcot into Hollywood Studios II: International Boogaloo. He's not very popular these days.
No, they don't you fucking creep
Yup

>Unfortunately, the best financial decisions are often the worst creative ones.
Not just that. Iger is coasting on success from established properties. But it's not like attempts to launch a new franchise hasn't been made year after year.

That's pretty damning of Chapek. Are his decision even economical in effect?

>Yup
Elaborate

For the most part. We're nothing if not financially successful. It's just getting a bit... Stale.
Look man, I don't know what you want from me. My sex life isn't very exciting, but I do have one. It's not like I fucked Cinderella in costume in the castle or something.

Do people fuck in those suits?

No

I feel like these decisions from both Bobs are good in the short-term economically speaking but costly in the long term as the drop in quality will impact customer loyalty. Thoughts?

That's kind of the general consensus. I feel like a reckoning is coming. There's gonna be a big backlash.

Are people unfamiliar with certain characters forced to go into costume and act said character? If I was given Pooh, but had never seen a Pooh movie in my life, would I be forced to go out there and act like him even though I had no idea what he was like?

Can you get me a date with Judy?

Aw man, what do you think will happen then? A dark age?

It happens. However, we have these little packets call character profiles that help us understand how a character moves and behaves, so we can get the general idea before we go out.

Have you had any experience with the higher-ups be it corporate or creative (like Lasseteer)?

Anyone ever grope you or grabbed your ass while you were in costume?

reminds me of monsters inc when the ceo guy says he would kidnap 1000 children before he would let the company die

I mean it's happened before.

That's what I think. We'll have another directionless decade like the 70's-80's dark ages, and we'll have to reearn our reputation all over again. However, with today's monopoly hungry market, I'm worried we won't make it.

No one you'd know by name, but I did a leadership speaker series where I got to meet some cool higher ups. Floyd Norman came to one It was neat.
You're not the first to make that comparison.

Do you feel this is a good career for you? How much further do you see yourself wanting to move up?

Hard to say right now. I'm back in college, so who knows where it will take me. I will say this, I certainly wouldn't mind staying with Disney.

i always see the same two questions in these threads
>hot in costumes?
>fuck in costumes?

would be a good Adult Mythbusters project to make a mascot suit to Disney specs and see if it's even possible to fuck in one. (I imagine amateur fursuits are different).

leads to my question: does, say, a Pluto costume in the park differ from the kind of thing a furry might make in durability, safety features, etc?

>does, say, a Pluto costume in the park differ from the kind of thing a furry might make in durability, safety features, etc?
I don't know much about fursuits (Or mursuits) but i imagine the Disney ones are sfaer and more durable, since they get more use.

Are you studying? Taking some classes? Please tell me that you aren't planning on still doing this in your thirties..?

I said I'm in college earlier, but what's wrong with doing it in your 30's?

Will Disney ever return to traditionally animated movies after Mary poppins? I miss it user.

Also, which character is genuinely the biggest asshole inside or out of costume? Why?

Attached: download (1).jpg (450x449, 16K)

Why are the Snow Whites always the hottest? Do they specifically look for thiqq/busty girls to play her?

Are you a Disney (((shill))) ?

How much do you get paid? And is it hard to get inside the industry? I want to work in Disney one day.

Do they prevent black/Latina/Asian women from playing white princesses, if so how do they legally get around discrimination lawsuits?

They always have curves and pale classic beauty

Do they prevent men and children from playing princesses, if so how do they legally get around discrimination lawsuits?

Attached: Rapunzel-2-Phil-Whitehouse.jpg (1000x933, 327K)

Why don't they get Elon Musk to create futuristic glory rides at Epcot?

memphis.citymomsblog.com/humor/dear-child-free-millennials-youre-ruining-disney-world/

What do you think of this article?

I was on Splash Mountain about a month ago and all I could think of was dancing roblox man while going through that whole section. It was amazing.

I worked at Disneyland this summer, and I can confirm this. It was great for when I went to the park, but it also made hours harder to get.

What kinda faces are the characters making under the masks usually?

The person under the mask is silently moving their mouth and emoting as though they weren't wearing it. This is done so they can gesture more believably.

Whats the most retarded thing someone has gotten away with, for example, smoking while in costume, making a smart ass remark in public, etc.

snows voice freaks me out hearing it from a real person

John Wayne once said "I believe in white supremacy until blacks are educated to a point of responsibility." Why did you retweet that?

>Annoyingly attentive parents are my personal pet peeve.

thats not a bad thing.. I mean parents dont want their kids to be fondled by those disney pervs you see on the news getting arrested for having child porn and just happen to work at disney world.

you sold your soul to a illuminati company, are you ok with that?

are you ok with being part of worlds decline for a paycheck and a hotdog??

go back to asp

do you need experience of any kind to walk around in a costume all day and waving at kids all day?

thats stupid. if a character is obviously white they would need a white person to play it. you cant go against the design of the character to satisfy some idiot SJW group

I think OP Left...

>FUCKING FURRIES
I work at the San Diego Zoo and we do have to deal with furries there and I hate it.

Are you 11 or just a third world shitter

Tell us about the furries, I wanna hear.

you confusing furries with bestiality. most furries dont go to zoos to fuck the animals furries usually go to cons and fuck each other in costume in their hotel rooms

Are you actually a Nick Wilde performer? I had a fantastic experience with Nick when I went to MK for the first time last year. I was dressed up as Nick for the Halloween party and when the dance party parade float came by he pulled me and a bunch of other Nick and Judy cosplayers into the show for a dance number. After it was over he was nice enough to pose for a photo with me even though the parade needed to move on. It happened during my first thirty minutes during my first ever time inside of a Disney park and it was something I'll remember for the rest of my life. I don't know if that was you or not, but whoever it was he made that vacation unforgettable.

How much do you get paid?

Do you have pictures of Rapunzels feet? Pls respond

I was in the Kinect Disneyland once. It was nice.

Sort of. People who have a disability that makes it difficult to wait in long lines, or people who lie about it I guess, wait in a virtual queue. What that means is, you go to the front of the line, and they give you a return time. You don't really get to skip to the front of the line, you just don't have to stand in the actual physical line, and instead wait somewhere else.

I imagine a Nostalgia hungry Market will be wanting them in the next decade or two. We'll probably get a brief Resurgence, before we go back to CG, which will likely look very different by then.

The princesses have different dress sizes, and if you are into girls with a little more meat on their bones, Snow White and Princess Merida tend to be the least thin.

About 17 an hour. Its not a hard job to get if you interview well.
Nah. I am pretty critical, despite how much I love working here.

How do you feel about your pay situation and how do you feel about the arguments that pop up over it?

Nope. They don't ever ask the ethnicities of the people who audition. We have a couple of Latina Princess Belle's, a Latina Cinderella, and Disneyland had an Asian Peter Pan for a while. We even have a Tiana who isn't black, she's Polynesian. They never care about your race, they only care what you look like.

They like going to the Zoo enclosures and will try to roar at the lions or make weird fucking noises at the other animals. Sometimes they'll do it to animals like the Pandas are easily disturbed so you're suppose to be quiet with them but they don't give a shit. They are dirty and leave trash and I've heard stories from other Zoo employees that they have tried to get in into some of the enclosures (like the meerkat one which all you need to do is just fall in to get into).

Also we used to have a rescued Orangutan that was a recovering tobacco addict which is a fact that's pretty known to the regulars (we have people that are obsessed with the Zoo and the reason we are open for holidays because they love spending them here). Well one of the furries was a smoker and they found out and decided to just start smoking in front of the Orangutan who just fucking lost it. They were kicked out.

No, they are furries, they used to have an online group and everything and they would meet at the Zoo's parking lot and sometimes go and do god knows and at other times they go into the zoo (without their fursuits because we don't let them). But you know it's them because they make animal noises and leave their clip on tails and hears on. I dunno why the Zoo puts up with them but then again our Zoo puts up with a lot of shit.

Also not furries but there was a time the zoo would randomly give free admission to anyone that visit and would announce the dates, that quickly stopped once we got overrun by trash people and homeless (who would get pissed because we wouldn't let their carts inside). Awesome.

has anyone ever parachuted into the parks to avoid paying for an entry ticket?

*to specify, "it" as in the matter of pay at the disney themeparks in general, not yours specifically.

Sounds like fastpass.

Do the more popular costumed characters (like Elsa from Frozen) get special treatment?

It's silly

Tell us about the auction room under the park accessed through the Living With The Land ride.

kek brb gonna try this

I like to make silly faces, but I usually smile

One time a girl ripped another girl's wig off backstage, and some how didn't get fired. That shit hurts too

Got any interesting stories about the Tron attraction?

That's not quite what I meant. I mean the ones who are too involved in the interaction, who try to rush things along

How often do kids get violent?
Ever been kicked in the balls by an angry 'tard?

That could have been me
Welcome to late stage capitalism, homie.

>Orangutan that was a recovering tobacco addict
Where was he rescued from and who is giving him drugs?

now aren't ya' just a little liar, if you were a bit more knowledgeable you would've opened with

> " I know someone who plays X character..."

> " I know a Disney Cast Member..."

If you were the real deal you'd know the proper etiquete...that or you're a newfag that's going to be sent to the tunnels real soon...

Opinions on kingdom hearts, how would you react to people in sora and Riku cosplays bothering you when Nick and Judy get in

I think we're underpaid, because Orlando has the fastest growing cost of living in the US.

Probably a circus that used it as an attraction

Seeing as it's not built yet, no
Lol wut
Few times a week? Beet hit and squeezed a few times but never kicked.

Lol wut
It's fine. It's nice to have new material to work with

#
Sorta, but much more limited.
#
Nah. Most girls play more than one role anyway

How many time have people tried to molest you in your costume?

How often do you guys find people fucking within the parks?

There's an auction room, accessed through the second floor child's bedroom in the farm house. Maybe you don't know about it.

Sick shit going on there.

Only each other. :^)

Attached: MfEKQUh.jpg (960x640, 111K)

Too many to count.

Sounds fake but okay

Growing up in Miami, I've been to WDW more times than I can count. Only legit question I've had is whether or not the cast who costume Toy Story are fed up with people yelling "ANDY IS HERE" and ragdolling?

In any of the parks, have you ever seen anyone shit their pants on a ride or just around the park? If so, what is the general procedure for such a thing?

That's what I thought too. I was horrified to find out how wrong I was.

You should go check the room out for yourself if you can. Look behind the bookcase, though it's possible they may have changed it up. The door to the auction room/waiting room area where they keep the kids is a bit smaller than a normal door, and you do need a key card to access it (unless they changed that). Still, you can see the room and the door for yourself.

I can see your job as having a reasonably high job satisfaction level. Making some kids day must be pretty rewarding on an inner level.

That was never true

We call custodial and they
take care of it.

Would someone really do that? Go on the internet and tell lies?

Had some trouble spelling that out, huh?

Custodial. Now there's a position that I suspect is rife with stories to be told. A thread on that would be interesting. :-)

Yeah, but like I said, you can probably go and check it out for yourself and at least see the door. Do cast members have access to the rides like that?

Hell, ask around about it and see if any of your other coworkers know about it. I'm sure one of the old-timers has probably heard a few things.

Is this some creepypasta? If it is either link me to something or go on in detail

It's not a creepypasta that I know of, though I wouldn't be surprised if someone wrote one about it.

I really don't want to hijack OP's thread with this so I won't go too much into detail (unless it's cool with the OP, but he obviously thinks I'm LARPing). I'll just say that I used to be a bodyguard for someone very important in the entertainment industry, and that's how I know the place exists. The clients access the auction room through a utility road outside of the park, so they don't even have to enter the park.

How many times a day do you do the Floss and Shoot dances?

How can i get a job in the cartoon industry

>tigger.jpg
that's not tigger goshdarnit

Attached: areyoutrollingorwhut.jpg (604x453, 40K)

come the fuck on dude

Nice pasta.

What's your favorite costume? Also, what is your most memorable experience as a cast member?

Awww sick, so a few weeks ago a supposed Photographer for Disney World (United States) said a lot of interesting things, for the sake of a blue board I won't go into any of the more raw stuff

Is it true one of the Belles curses like a pirate and says the n-word a lot?

Also, is it true that one of the Annas dated one of her assistances that stands next to her and Disney let them use a Anna and Elsa costume?

Word.

So many

do you need any acting experience to be a costume person walking around waving at people?

Yeah, I just named it that too overwrite another file

Here's the thing. I DO believe those places exist, but come on. They aren't going to put them in the facades of popular theme park attractions that are easily accessed by 19 year old cast members

Baymax is my fave. I'll write some stories later when I have more time

What Farm Building are you referring to? Ex-Janitor of Epcot who did some work on other Disney owned facilities.

Just so you know Walt Disney has tons and tons of fucking secret doors and hidey holes through the entire complex and yes there are actors and actresses that have access to some of those to avoid fans and the regular populace.

Attached: 1532037808664.jpg (1280x720, 540K)

To add to this I have had to report multiple workers like the Cast Member OP for having sex or playing grab ass because I came across them while checking for dead wires or trying to find where electrical boxes were

Attached: 1568394879004.jpg (3024x4032, 2.01M)

>and then a Mickey costume with hyperrealistic blood jumped out!
finished your creepypasta bro

Auction room? Auctioning... What?

... Humans? Human... Children?

Got any good stories?

What are some interesting encounters & highlights of the meet & greet field you’ve seen over the years.

m.youtube.com/watch?v=9qEee01KKJ8
Vid related as example.

Exactly. I expected higher from a Cast Member. He's not a Universal Studios employee, he's Disney. He should be sympathetic to parents. All the parks are highly international and are close to high trafficking cities (Orlando, Tampa, Miami). Parents have to be over protective when traveling.

These people shouldn't be in society, much less at Disney around children.

what are the best and worst encounters you've ever had with a guest?

A LOT of the Disney Prince and Princess Best Friends (the actors or whatever they're called (it's been years)) love to play grabass and kiss in areas they're not suppose to be (I've had to clean up a lot of nasty shit)

Most of it is mundane, Ive helped a few actors and actresses with directions to get through the underground or the uptop back doors to get to rides or whatever (they usually come when Disney World is closed to the public sometimes)

I had to keep watch of one of the suit wearers because there were reports they refused to interact with hispanic and african families.

Outside of that I did see two Princesses kiss each other on a dare (Princesses and Princes have to be of age 18 to 21 and really fucking small between 4'5'' and 5'6'')

Outside of that it quite literally one of the most shittiest jobs Ive had to do - I WAS suppose to be part of the team that took care of electronics but they just made me do almost every fucking oddjob

Attached: 1543158182734.png (953x1000, 224K)

>The Indiana Jones Adventure
Good man.

I've been smoking to much
I wanted to say that a lot of the Princesses act really fucking immature outside of working hours due to age and do a lot of sketchy shit, like doing dares and they usually get fired or strictly yelled at to not do that shit again.
Ether Cinderella or Belle called Princess Tiana a nigger once under her breath.

Outside of that it's pretty chill; you need to realize that the stories I tell are YEARS apart. Shit rarely happens

Reminder op is a fake and just LARPS in these threads for attention

Link?

What does the mouse think of Party Princess Productions, since that's a group that uses their IPs to do birthday parties any stuff?

Attached: 1500429101595.png (600x600, 143K)

Once again, not what I meant.

I was a Jungle Cruise Skipper in 2015. I used to love going on/coming off break when the parade was ending. I remember some of the performers just laid out on towels backstage and pouring ice cold water on their heads after summer parades. Protip. If you're at the entrance of the park watching the parade go past, and you see the characters still waving when they enter the offstage area, it's the Skippers, the Main Street cast and the Haitian custodians they're waving at.

This is wildly inaccurate

They're not fans, but is not worth the effort to crack down

This is true, actually. I did this all the time as Nick after MiSi. Sup Skip?

Do they put people in the Disney Jail?

>they ARE trying to figure out what went wrong
Personally speaking, I just have no desire to ever go back to California.

Nah. That's not really a thing

It's obviously Fox McCloud

No, just really rare paintings and stuff lol

This, touch fluffy tail

OP, I've never been to Magic Kingdom, just Seaworld when I was a kid,

any recommendations? Not a big fan of super fast rides, but I do love food. Stupid question but do they sell dvds there?

>Ether Cinderella or Belle called Princess Tiana a nigger once under her breath
I know this is probably a larp but god that shit is funny to imagine

How common is it to see someone wearing KH apparel and what’s your opinion on it?

Attached: 0A061CE3-2BD4-4577-B169-794EF011D2BF.jpg (4032x3024, 2.12M)

What's the worst thing I can do that won't get me kicked out/banned?

Just as a casual visitor, I'm gonna go ahead and say that everyone I see wearing KH merch at Disney parks are EXACTLY the type of people you'd expect to wear them.

I can tell you're sheltered. There's far worse scum than them that mingle among us. But hold onto that hate, you'll find something constructive to do with it.

What do they do with the mascot heads when they get old and dirty?
Is it possible to sneak one out of the park?
Is it true that they chip them?

I can't speak to this but I remember that woman on youtube who would stalk Gaston's actor. She even stalked him while he was playing other characters

>Snow White and Princess Merida tend to be the least thin.

Can a princess get fired if she gets too old, fat or ugly? Do they hire old, fat, or unattractive girls if they are good enough actresses ?

Attached: UGLY BITCH 66954275_463004767849438_5026089900020085558_n.jpg (1854x1945, 1.22M)

How much money would it take to get some princess cast members to make out in costume and send me the video??

Kill yourself

As someone who travels to Disneyland, it's because long lines and crowds in the past have left a bad taste in my mouth, so I figured skipping out on Star Wars Land would've been a smart idea

It's not gonna be any better next year because now word of mouths going around that Disneylands crowded, and the other Star Wars ride is opening soon

Throw them away or cannibalize them for parts. They are chipped

Characters of both gender get hit on, but ladies definitely get hit on more. It's fairly common, and really annoying. It has happened to me as every character i play except maybe Baymax.

Really, it's all about how you look in the makeup. There are girls who get disapproved in a character who are only in their 20s for looking too old, but I know ladies well into their 30s still going.

Was out door foods cast member for two years at the magic kingdom.

Life is shite in food. Don’t let then get you near it. Also, do you get paid the “average” salary?

Those ceo’s can fuck a pencil.

Are those girls for real? Or were they photoshopped? Seems like they would be the only white-ish girls available for China & Japan.

Jeez, I know I'm not pretty, but God those eyebrows. And so much gums in their smiles.

Heard that Haitians are lazy even at WDW. Is this true?

Some serious uncanny valley on the Belles there.

At least the Alice isn't too bad, though she looks like a former Stepsister.

Not the OP, but I've seen girls who look half black, mixed or really non-white playing characters like Rapunzel so I'm pretty sure anything goes at this point.

Some are, some aren't, just like any other race

I would if it would hurt the company's image but they'll just sweep it under the rug

wtf happen to Alice and Ariel?

I used to be friends with the Disneyland Nick Wilde, got to see the other Nick and Judy at Disney World last month. You guys do good :)

Attached: Screenshot_20190923-002237_Gallery.jpg (831x882, 551K)

Funny thing one of my friends turned out to be the same Nick I met in the park and I was able to cuddle him :)

That would be near impossible and not only fired but probably banned for life

The ironic thing is 2 friends I know who are furries have worked as animal characters for Disney, one ended up joining the fandom shortly after leaving Disney.

Just wanted to put a quip in about this.
The Belle calling Tiana a nigger is real; it was posted on a Yea Forums thread years ago, eventually people wanted to know if the supposed Disney Employee was real or fake and he showed proof; at no ones surprised he apparently got fired from Disney for that very post he did but also that the Belle in question and also Tiana got a brief, supposed suspension - apparently the two don't like each other.

He's also the same person who took the famous Snow White down blouse picture (I have it but it's a blue board and I'm tired of getting timed out here because I like discussing comics)

It doesn't really show anything anyways. Just hints heavily at it.

Attached: 1456050777070.jpg (1280x1610, 140K)

They've dryhumped at the Paris park before, there's some old leaked video of them basically having a mascot suit orgy. I wouldn't even know what keyword to use nowadays, because snowman just gets clogged by Olaf results and every other detail is too vague/general

Course, it's Paris, so that's probably just a normal break to them

How much do you make per month?

That was easy to find

How many foreigners do you greet/talk to every day? Do you speak other languages?

>THEY NEED TO BE *MY* COLOR
Absolutely pathetic.

Well I feel like a doofus

I wouldn't suggest trying it, but sneaking backstage or exploring restricted or abandoned areas usually gets you ban for life if they catch you. It happened to Adam the Woo, and a few other explorers .
Adam got ban from both Disney and Universal Studios.

Thanks!

Yep! Yep! Yep!

Do you have a favorite Disney film?

Interestingly, I actually know most of those girls. Belle in the upper left, the Cinderella and the Tiana are all actually really pretty. They are just unflattering photos. The Jasmine is one I know too, she also plays other princesses, and looks better as them

Is it true y'all have fucked up sex parties in costume?

I love seeing the Baymax at Epcot, was dressed like Hiro once when I came with other cast members from California and had a good interaction with that Baymax

I was an Asian Peter Pan but on the other coast

Lol sounds like my experience

Do you know any of the Reys? How does the staff feel about Galaxy’s Edge?

There's a good chance that was me

I want to fuck kaybear while she is wearing her fox/cat tail buttplug

That seem to like it?
What was your nickname?

Do people hit on you when you’re wearing the costume? What kind of people?

Do they make the guys in the Br'er Rabbit, Br'er Fox, and Br'er Bear costumes watch Song of the South so they can get familiar with the characters?

We mostly use the Splash Mountain ride for reference, but most of us have seen the film at some point or another.

>Ether Cinderella or Belle called Princess Tiana a nigger once under her breath.
What did the black lady playing Tiana do to trigger Belle/Cinderella? Was she ghetto and acting up or was it a catty chick fight?

Attached: UGLY BITCH 20393560_100891873936908_3440634348762562560_n.jpg (1080x1080, 73K)

90% of white women are bigots

If that was you thanks for the fun interactions, the friends I came with some worked on the Big Hero 6 movie and show so we had a fun time interacting with you

Attached: Screenshot_20190923-012641_Gallery.jpg (674x1130, 408K)

How do cast members react to big upcoming events (Galaxy's Edge opening, vacation season, the holidays)? Are there ever really times of the year where you guys get a break?

>What did the black lady playing Tiana do to trigger Belle/Cinderella?
Exist and be black most likely. Lots of people get triggered by that

One of my friends has insane claustrophobia and cannot deal with ride queues or tight spaces (the indiana jones queue would make him pass out). You think city hall would do something for him or is he shit outta luck?

>at no ones surprised he apparently got fired from Disney for that very post he did

I highly doubt Disney monitors random threads on Yea Forums.
It was probably reported by Yea Forumstard troll.

How the fuck do you even do your job? I would be feeling awkward if I was in a Nick suit just standing around trying not to spill my spaghetti
plus my IRL name is Nick so I wouldn't know if someone's calling my work name or my suit name

Attached: 1567371342283.jpg (454x441, 27K)

I can see that. The upper-left Belle doesn't look right because of her complexion. Tiana is pretty- it's just that the dress & lighting make her look heavy. And Cinderella has a chubby face, but not like that is unnecessarily a bad thing. It's just not suitable for Cinderella.

Rapunzel & bottom Belle have wacky eyebrows, Snow White has her blood & fat constrained by those puffy sleeves, Alice looks like she just had a root canal, anybody would look bad in the current outfit for Jasmine, & Ariel has too much of a nose & chipmunk cheeks.

But being Nick is cute

Tiana would look better with lighter skin. Not white, but more like Beyoncé.

Light-toned black folks need to be represented too.

Pretty much this, White Woman are racist as fuck and majority of the time they don't even understand or comprehend they're being racist

Am white woman. samefag.

I can't tell you if I am racist or not. I think I am too entitled for that, or at least that is what another white woman said to me.

It helps to not be an idiot

Tiana is dark in the film. She's not Beyonce-toned

Very cool thank you.
Can you go into a little more detail?

If another dark age does happen we might get some more experimental stuff out of it at least

Ok so the people talking about the remarks on Tiana are actually legitimate to an extent.

I was a, somewhat, innerworking employee at Disneyland in Orlando Florida, it was my job to review and pass along reports of other employees who were basically doing like-whistleblowing on other employees.
There were an assortment of reports of catfights between Princesses briefly on the premise of Disney but the majority of them happened out of the park. Belle and Cinderella can sometimes be the same person and this is why, from what I'm seeing people saying its ether Belle or Cinderella.
If I recall the employee who plays as Belle most of the time wold make back-handed comments to Tiana and Jasmine, mostly commenting on a foul smell but on three occasions calling Tiana a nigger and Jasmine a terrorist to her other friends.

If memory serves right that Belle was fired (Early 2014 or so give or take a few years? It's been awhile) she had a nasty potty mouth and also didn't mind changing out of her costume with the changing room door open and a lot of employees got a eye full, along with two children who were being escorted to their parents through the tunnels, I believe one was having some sort of attack, I can't recall what it was ether panic or asthma attack - we at the office love reading reports and sharing them with each other during Lunch Break or Coffee Break.

Almost all other reports are melodrama or complaints about foul smells inside costumes because they weren't washed or maybe some physical, romantic contact between workers.

To note, I do hope this post is viewed as a LARP, I hopefully made sure to be as general and vague as to what exactly I do and where because I still work here as I type this - just at a different department now, its closer to home

>Disneyland in Orlando Florid
Fake

Is it true that you have people fighting every other day?

Disneyland...

How many UCF students do you work with?
I know a lot of UCF kids have annual passes and go crazy for Disney shit.

It was my opinion she would look better with a lighter complexion as that would compliment the pale green of her gown more. I know she's dark in the canon, I was just giving my subjective opinion.

Just like how Anna should be a blonde, not a redhead.

If you're still here, why are the bathrooms better air-conditioned than the actual fucking attractions and restaurants?

Quite a few. I am one.
Your opinions are dumb and bad. Also, if it's really about the dress, why not change the dress, not her skin?
Smaller spaces are easier to create consistent airflow in.

Do people ever try to seduce the actors? I assume the princesses are driven nuts by drunk dudes.

Tiana's dress is really pretty. Green is supposed to be her signature color.

And fuck you about my opinions. Your opinion is shite.

I'm just saying that if you don't think her dress and skin tone go together (Though soft green and dark warm browns are pretty complimentary, that's basic color theory), and your first reaction to that is "Change her skin color" not "Change her dress," that says a LOT about your priorities.

Also, if Anna was blonde she'd look too much like Elsa. Hell, she already looks too much like Elsa.

Attached: color.png (900x600, 3K)

>Tiana's dress is really pretty.
So is her skin..?

It's after midnight here so I gotta hit the hay. Just wanted to say thanks, o/p for the neat info and insight. :-)

Sure thing, pal. Always happy to enlighten!

If any other Disney dudes ever make another thread it would be cool to hear some about the hidden side, the stuff they don't really want the public to know. The auction door sounds like a larp but the stuff about actors bickering or misbehaving off cam is pretty fun.

I'm heading for bed, but if there is anything secret you wanna know, all you have to do is ask.

Remember- Tiana is a marketable character, not a person. The green tones of her dress would go better with warm brown tones. Too dark gets too cold for those warm spring greens.

It's just a minor opinion though. Tiana's skin tone is negligible compared to other fashion faux pas like Ariel in pastel pink.

Anna just looks like a clown with red hair. While she shouldn't be a platinum blonde like Elsa, a yellow blonde would bring out better warm, youth, & light. And either sister in green? That's gross- they have blue eyes.

If only they made Anna chubby. She's already retarded, so it wouldn't be much of a stretch of the imagination...

>The green tones of her dress would go better with warm brown tones.
Her skin tone is warm. It's really warm, actually, nearly red in some scenes.
>Anna just looks like a clown with red hair.
If she had lighter skin, or the red was very intense, I'd agree, but I think the orange is pretty soft and suits her coloring well. If her hair was yellow, like Rapunzel's, it'd wash her out. Not enough contrast with the gold tones in her skin.
>And either sister in green? That's gross- they have blue eyes.
Lots of greens go great with blue. Particularly if it's a clear, bright green.

You have weird opinions about color

I've read about getting special buttons if it's your birthday, anniversary, etc, are there any for cancer survival?

do you guys at the park still sell mcdonalds meal items like animal kingdom did?

have you ever been inside club 33, or seen anyone go inside one of those places?

Any stories about people freaking out, breaking down or going berserk while costumed, be it fursuits or regular costumes? both backstage or on. Also how high is the rate of depression and other such problems among people who work at parks like this, especially the ones who interact with audiences?

Nice. Thank you

I've rumours of the princesses being huge sluts, is this true?

As 2-nd worlder, what the point of these parks? Why not go to museum?

Do you guys have a Clarice meet and greet thing? Is it true that Japanese people like to grab ass?

Also, did you guys get any flak for the Gaston viral videos?

Attached: a78dc406dd1315615191c41bb1358342--chipmunks-disney-disney.jpg (236x353, 22K)

Speaking about Furries, dos you ever have to explain to another cast member about what a furry is? Considering your character, you probably had to deal with a lot of Furries, so it seems like you would have to run into those situations fairly often.
Also any other general stories would be nice, I love hearing about backstage stuff.

Attached: 1560236837500.png (568x653, 239K)

Honestly? It's fun to go someplace that has things that don't involve work or your daily life. Museums have that but you're supposed to be quiet and not touch anything.

In the US things like vacations are pretty rare. You are considered rich if you can take a single week from working. Theme parks in essence is a consolidation of the experience of not working and having fun in one place for rapid ingestion.

Attached: 160709-M-KA224-034.jpg (1200x801, 868K)

>Disneyland in Orlando Florida
Stopped reading there. Nice LARP.

Some greens can go with blue, but that doesn't mean they look good in green.

Anna with orange hair looks bad. Like fuck genetics bad.

Because museums and amusement parks have completely different and non-overlapping appeals?

Have you ever wanted to kill a visitor before?

Ok OP, how can someone apply for a job there.
Getting paid to act as a Disney character all day sounds fun.

Attached: 1560513243673.gif (498x498, 1.14M)

i doubt they care
i remember them hiring a hispanic to play Hrio

Is it true they had to tone down Tarzan's costume because women kept fondling his ass while taking pictures with him?

I hope they pay there mods well the shit they see

>judges people for their career choices while posting on an Iranian fruit-harvesting image board about children's cartoons and superheroes
Kek

>fat Snow White
No. Just no.

Man that sucks. I guess they'd get sued if they didn't but the characters should really be their original ethnicities.

how many dark rituals have you performed and/or organized in the bowels of disneyland/world?

I asked like 3 times now.. and you never answered.

do you need any acting experience to be a costumed performer?or do they jusy train you to move and act like the characters do? also how much do they pay the costumed people to walk around all day waving to people?

Not op but lots of the male characters get a whole bunch of sexual harassment. Aladdin, Tarzan and Jack Sparrow allegedly get it a lot.

Pooh also used to get mobbed by middle age women when Disney still had wandering characters.

Howdy! These are fun threads. I miss my time at the mouse.

I worked for the mouse back in the 90's
Do the WDW tunnels still smell like Putrid ass while being humid as fuck?

I remember two years back when I went to take a picture with Fox McCloud and a dude with the 'tism gave Nick some fanart. What do you guys do with said fanart that guests give you?

Do any of the employees want to FUCK Judy Hopps?

My wife and I spent a week in Disneyland/CA Adventure over labor day weekend and I can confirm that it was not very busy. We loved the experience and you cannot beat being able to ride Splash Mountain five times in a row.

One thing you find out about furries is that the majority of them does not like to be known as one or called one, so it's weird for someone to embrace it wholesale, like the Hayda VA guy.

>getting a college degree just to dress up as a furfag and deal with screaming kids in 90 degree weather
I JUST

No specifically, but you can get a "I'm Celebrating" button and write that on it. Or order a unique one from etsy.

How does the college program work? do they just send you off in the middle of a semester or do you work during your break?

Not anymore
Been in the one at Disneyland once. it was pretty cool!
I'm sure some of them are. You get enough women in their late teens to early 30's together, and some are bound to be.
They're fun.
Clarice is in a dance party. I've never had trouble with Japanese guests. No Gaston has gotten heat for a viral video, that I'm aware of.
Yeah, I've had to explain furries to new cast members before. Most furries are pretty respectful though.
Oh yeah. Loads of times
It's an audition process. Check Disney Auditions dot com to see if ther eis gonna be one near you.
I used to work with Hiro, and I don't remember a Hispanic one... They weren't all Japanese, but they were all Asian of SOME kind.
It's probably just an unflattering photo. If she won't fit in the dress, they's disapprove her.
For some characters, Like Jasmine, if we made being their original ethnicity a requirement, we'd never get enough people to play them.
None, the Country bear Jamboree is already doing that hourly.
Nah, as long as you do well at the audition, you'll be fine. Pay varies but depending on what you do it'll be between 15 and 17 an hour.
No, he's still in a loin cloth. He does get harassed sometimes tho
Aladdin, not so much, and Jack Sparrow, not as much as he used to.
The former yes, the latter no.
>Fox McCloud
lol wut? Anyway, we keep the art sometimes. We'll pin it up backstage or take it home.
I'm sure some do.
Why do you care what someone else does for a living? Live your life and mind your business. If it pays the bills and makes them happy, who cares?

It sort of depends on how and when you apply. Check out the College Program website, and see if you can pick one that suits you.

Is it true that the cast members at Galaxy's Edge come up with their own backstory for their 'character' and why they're working there?

What are you supposed to do while in costume? Just hang around?

Yeah, a lot of them do. They seem to enjoy it.
Well, some are in parades, some do dance parties, some are at meet and greets, where they pose for pictures and sign autographs. We have "Roaming" characters who just walk around and hang out, but those ones are getting a more and more rare with each passing year.

What was your favorite encounter with a guest?

One time I was Tigger, and I got to tuck a kid in at the Give Kids the World Village. That's where Make a Wish Kids go to stay. He was about 6, maybe 7, but it was hard to tell. This kid had leukemia, and his wish was to be tucked in by Tigger. So, I stayed with him a bit, played some games, hugged him, and tucked him in for bed. It was a great time. He told me he loved Disney World, because it was "The First time he didn't feel sick." He died not long after, and his parents sent us a very nice letter about how that was the best night of his life. I'll never forget that kid.

Hey man, I had to LIVE it.

what attractions have you worked at, and which were your favs?

he showed a timestamp in the last thread you fuckin druggie

Started at the Haunted Mansion, and cross trained to Pirates of the Caribbean and later Splash Mountain. All at Disneyland. Mansion will always be my fave to work at.

What's a cool place or thing behind the scenes that average folks wouldn't know about?

Attached: 1559378059559.png (719x717, 401K)

The cast cafeteria, called The Mousketeeria, is right underneath Pinocchio's village house. The food there is pretty good.

Heck of a day for rain

>secret food eatery located under another food eatery
More than just coincidence.

Ok.

Tell abut the worst experience you’ve ever had with a visitor.

Here's two questions: Ever interact with any celebrities or their kids?

Any ghost stories or rumors of haunted attractions?

Not him but Disneyland apparantly has quite a few ghosts, including the girl that died at America Sings in the 70s and even supposedly Walt himself.

Imagine if you had a depraved sexual fetish and somebody hired you full time to do nothing but revel in it all day long. These absolute degenerate filth must be some of the happiest people on earth.

It's a head from Fantasmic. The lighting is weird at that part, and the way the eyes are cut help the performer see.

Yeah, I doublt that. I'm sure we've had furry perormers, but the job is way to hot and exhasuting to be sexy.
Yeah, I got to meet Celine Dion once.

They say that Indiana Jones is Haunted by the spirit of a girl who dies in a farmhouse that used to be there. They describe her as having a grey dress and tall dark boots.

how often do they change the characters on the ship in fant?

that makes sense. still, a little uncanny/terrifying. especially since it's looking right at the camera

Where is the Buzzy animatronic? Was he really stolen?

One time a guest just straight up punched me in the gut for no reason.
Not that I know of, but I heard there once was one who was.
Not very often. Usually only when a new, popular character comes along who warrants it.
None of us know. Disney won't tell us. He is for sure gone though.

Does it really matter? Where they really ever gonna fix up that show? I highly highly doubt it.

I mean an expensive thing getting stolen is always upsetting.

is pin trading based or cringe

Why chapnek? Can you describe this man?

Does it mean that Disney's success would lead to a dark age and cause more harm than good?

Not him but what are requirements for pin trading? I have a few question...
>Trading scrappers, yay or nay?
>Can I use any old lanyard or do I have to get one from the various stores?
>How difficult is it to score Cast Member pins?

Can you blame them?

What's the hardiest suit to perform as far as you know/heard?

I did in follow up osts
Disney's latest successes have been financial only, cashing in on a nostalgia-hungry market However, they are failing to built a new fanbase, and their old one is getting weary of the direction Disney is going.
>Scrappers
It's fine, as long as they are Disney branded.
>Lanyard
Any lanyard will do.
>Difficulty
Cast members will always trade with you, no matter what, as long as your pin is Disney.

Wreck-It Ralph is notoriously hard to perform in, though I never have.
Eh. Fights happen more often than people think.

Very.

>Eh. Fights happen more often than people think

Any good stories?

Buzzy was marked for preservation in the Disney Archives, which is what makes the theft so bothersome.

Ont time one mom began to choke out another for holding her family's place in line while waiting for Tinker Bell. FYI, doing that is fine, and not against the rules.

Yup. Very fucked.
insidethemagic.net/2019/09/disney-world-cuts-live-performances-bb1/

Would Chapek be cheap enough to fire all characters & tell guests to "use their imagination"?

>It's fine, as long as they are Disney branded.
Excellent. A friend of mine gave me a bunch of ‘em (pic somewhat related, I am a bit worried about the Marvel pins though) I also have a full set of Orange Bird Hidden Mickey pins plus some extras and others) and I want to see if there are any good CM-only pins at DL and DCA worth scoring.
>Any lanyard will do.
That’s a relief, I think I have an old NBC lanyard I can use. I always assumed you needed on with those little cards attached to the end to participate.
>Cast members will always trade with you, no matter what, as long as your pin is Disney.
I remember hearing about the “CM will always trade Disney pins with you” bit from the same friend that gave me the scrappers, I’m just interesting in how many exclusive pins a CM will have at any given time and how often they’re refreshed (if that’s actually a thing). I also know that trading fantasy pins with CMs is a big no-no and understandably so.

Attached: DB97749D-DBFD-457F-BA76-9DF67D157B33.jpg (4032x3024, 2.96M)

Free range characters absolutely, but meet and greet stations not so much. Still gotta get people to buy Photopass after all.

Nah. He's not THAT crazy.

This.
>I’m just interesting in how many exclusive pins a CM will have at any given time and how often they’re refreshed
Every few months or so? You'll likely find a fair few.

How much weary are the old fans exactly with disney?

Also, have you seen this video in particular? youtube.com/watch?v=D0lSoHNmMTA

>How much weary are the old fans exactly with disney?
It's hard to say. I can't read minds, but the reviews for the remakes are getting worse and worse. That video pretty much hit's the nail on the head.

Ah, I’ll have to keep an eye out for ‘em when I go the parks this Thursday. I’d wear my Epic Mickey pin somewhere, but there’s no way in hell I’m putting it on my lanyard.

Why not put it on your lanyard?

Because I have a feeling that someone would want to trade for it and I’d rather not deal with kindly telling them that my 9-year old pin is not for trade.

Pic related.

How's fiege going in marvel?

Do you have any pictures of costumes without anyone in them?

Do you have any pictures of costumes in storage?

Have you ever had to interact with an animatronic?

I wanna go to disneyland but there's a lot of people and I ended up getting upset because the rides are 3 hours long and the shows gets full of people to quick that the staff doesn't let me watch the show.
What's the time when the park is almost empty?

Early September, and any time in February that isn't Valentines day. The time between Thanksgiving and Christmas can be good too.

What's your nickname?
