King's Bruce, a terrible human being and a crappy/abusive father, gets a happy marriage and a baby as reward for being terrible for 85 issues...why? Or is he suddenly going to be the perfect parent for Catwoman ? Because if he is, well lucky for the baby, sucks to be Jason :Cass;Tim ;Damian and Dick.
I would prefer to see him fix his relationships with the children he already has to be honest.
According to Tomasi he had to fight for the family focused arc in his TEC run. King hate Bruce kids.
Luis Wilson
Oh Christ, King's gonna go for the full Buckley isn't he. That's why he's off the book, DC didn't want Selina miscarrying in Batman proper. Which will lead to Batman being super depressed, leaving the door open for the Bendis #1/#101 with his new Batman taking up the mantle. #nothingmatters
tom king im literally begging you to like his books.Let's hope so. And after he leave the Batman series,NEVER let Tom King write ANYTHING EVER AGAIN!
Ian Flores
DC fired Tom King from Batman."
David Lee
I usually like this pairing but King hasn't really done it any favors for me.
If anything he's convinced me that they're better separate.
Jackson Ortiz
After all, he didn't even mention Damian and the boys. in Annual 2,.Bruce don't care for his kids.
Ryder Hill
why are you reading this dogshit? tomasis detective comics has been arguable better than his beloved Batman & Robin series. >Bruce is an actual detective, doing actual detective work >Actually doing stuff with Robin instead of constantly sending him away >Loves and appreciates his family >No Catwoman in sight >Short but fun romp with the Spectre >Joker is actually funny >Introducing new & interesting villains while shitting all over the retarded New 52 5-year timeline >Interesting short stories that don't drag on that shows Bruce has a heart >Dr Freeze story coming up We're constantly winning Tomasi bros
>a crappy/abusive father, Well according to King they are only soldiers.Bruce thinking of the batfamily only as his soldiers is so wrong on so many levels, I don't even know where to begin.
Henry Sullivan
>We're constantly winning Tomasi bros Tomasi is best boy.
One slightly good issue doesn't make a shitty run better.
Samuel Reyes
DC Comics Fires Tom King Off Batman Tom King was forced off of Batman, as it wasn't his choice, and is leaving with December's issue #85, but it is said King is still retaining his exclusive contract with DC Comics and will most likely be involved with other projects. It's further said King's run will spin-off in a truncated form in the Batman/Catwoman series running through 2020. Regarding the Batman comic book, it has taken a hit in sales as of late, as it only sells around 80K, when it used to be a #1 seller around the 100K range or beyond. It also seems that a lot of fans haven't been happy with Tom King's approach and direction to DC's Dark Knight, which again, is reflected in its comic book sales having dropped significantly. cosmicbook.news/dc-comics-fires-tom-king-batman
So , Batman is getting his ass kicked by teenagers.
Daniel Moore
What's wrong with Batman wetting his pants?
Wyatt Lewis
King's dialog is cringe. Tom King can be a really horrible writer sometimes...
William Thompson
Kite Man seemed like a C-list villain being a goofy guy and being in love with how outrageous the whole costumed villain stuff id, what with the whole "Kite Man! Hell yeah!", but then King had to turn that single statement into a tragic origin and the character into an unstable guy who basically can only ever repeat this like a Pokemon because of a trauma. Basically running a goofy and fun character, and running the humor to the ground.
Camden Adams
That was Kevin Smiths Batman
Nicholas Clark
>Basically running a goofy and fun character, and running the humor to the ground The thing is "Kite-man, hell yeah!" worked as comedy and then as tragedy but King tried to pull it back around into...both? He wanted it both ways, a personal triumph and a heart crushing backstory, and while I can sort of see where he was coming from his execution ruined both concepts. I couldn't root for the misunderstood gimmick thief either way.
Ayden Cruz
>hat was Kevin Smiths Batman And Kings Batman he says it on twitter.
Henry Ward
I'm more a fan of the batfamily than of Bruce and Selina. Bruce alone bores me.
Nathan Gonzalez
Link?
Luis Barnes
>Bruce alone bores me. That's because can't stop giving the character crap for being a hero, thinking they're being intelligent and forward by deconstructing the character.
Brody Martin
The best part about King’s run so far has been how badly it triggers batfags, and the fact that, despite its poor quality, it’s still the top seller at DC. It’s so delicious it should give you diabetes
Chase Russell
>t’s still the top seller at DC it not. DC Comics Fires Tom King Off Batman
cosmicbook.news/dc-comics-fires-tom-king-batman Batman comic book, it has taken a hit in sales as of late, as it only sells around 80K, when it used to be a #1 seller around the 100K range or beyond. Do you think Bruce shows the vacation photos while at Alfred's funeral to complete his tone deafness?
Kayden Diaz
>According to Tomasi he had to fight for the family focused arc in his TEC run. What family focused arc?
Brody King
>Fired He's not fired. He got kicked off Batman.
Bentley Lewis
>Do you think Bruce shows the vacation photos while at Alfred's funeral to complete his tone deafness?AHAHAHAHAAHAHAAHHA
It made me laugh that Batman is selling only 80k after all the hype of City of Bane.
Ryder Brown
This issue was horrible .
Joshua Davis
Honestly the only time I've thought floppy weren't fucking idiots
Elijah Taylor
I said A top seller, not The top seller, and, barring events, I’m pretty sure Batman still sells more than any other DC hero. The day that Batman stops consistently appearing in the monthly top ten charts, on that day we can say that Batman is no longer a top seller. That won’t happen for a very long time though since Batman single handedly keeps DC afloat
Eli Roberts
>It made me laugh that Batman is selling only 80k after all the hype of City of Bane. . He is just using other characters to prop Selina and to show how his batcat is best.
Asher King
Batman can be happy without wife. He already has family or team that bring him happiness. Pushing the theory that Batman can’t be happy without marriage is just ignorant and bad tactic to push BatCat.
Jose Mitchell
Blackman and Batcat kills Batman.
Ian Flores
DC died with Bendis and Batcat
Jonathan Sullivan
It was creepy when King said BatCat mini has Bruce being a father to his kids, something that lacked on his main title run, many BatCatfags began to scream Selina is becoming pregnant.
Logan Cox
King has turned Batman into a maniac who's obsessed over his girlfriend and she's the only thing he cares about.
Josiah Hall
Batcat shippers are fucking crazy. They honestly either want Catwoman married or pregnant. If none of it happens, they show no care for Catwoman. They will even accept single mom Catwoman if it means a child between Batman and Catwoman.
Henry Ramirez
It's worse than that. The dynamic is reversed in a dumb way. Bruce chases Selina and not the other way around. (I mean relationship wise, not if they're fighting, obviously in the cases where she's treated as a villain, the crime fighter will chase the criminal). It's the cat that chases the (flying) mouse. It's the thief that tries to get the most precious jewel (Bat's heart). It's a problem with old playboy characters, like Bruce and Tony, these days. FOR SOME REASON writers are hesitant to portray them as sought after by thirsty bitches and make them needy or losers or both.
Asher Roberts
There's no problem with Batman courting Catwoman. What makes the pairing awful in King's run is that Batman come off as extremely insecure and needy to the point of creeply treating Catwoman as the fix-all of all his life problems, as if he had her in his life everything would be swell and he wouldn't have to cut his wrists.
It makes the whole romance look unhealthy and awful.
Owen Bell
Just curious, is there a Catwoman fan who doesn’t care about BatCat just like some Batman fans don’t care about romance aspect?
Colton Scott
Of course, Selina isn't a good match for Bruce at all he should be with Talia or even Diana makes more sense
Chase Brown
King totally ruined catwoman for me and I fear that she will stay that way for years to come. I don´t even know why I should bother with comics these days. It just beloved characters getting turned to shit for political reasons over and over again
Dominic Ramirez
King's Batman isn't seeking anywhere near as much as some other heroes at DC right now. Tom King has effectively poisoned the mainline.
Easton Phillips
Batman caring only for selina makes him even more unlikable than he already is. Congratulations Tom King.
James Gonzalez
>King's Batman isn't seeking anywhere near as much as some other heroes at DC right now. But you know what? Still a critical acclaimed best seller.
Easton Kelly
>Talia Why? She's a terrorist and has zero idea of who Bruce really is.
Isaac Foster
>Still a critical acclaimed best seller. Nope.
Cooper Cook
King wants to ride the popularity of the DCAU and BTAS by picking a character from the most beloved BTAS movie, get the headlines talking about him introducing the Phantasm into the DC continuity, all while dishing a round of humiliation to one of Bruce's most beloved love interests from the DCAU. This is 100% a Tom King move. He's already went after both Talia and Diana, so he's merely moving to the next target on his hit list.
Talia, Diana, and Andrea were all DCAU characters who completely overshadowed Catwoman as love interests to Bruce, and that clearly never sat well with King. King is your typical vindictive and petty BatCat shipper that you can find on Twitter or Tumblr. I'm genuinely surprised he never touched Zatanna, seeing how his supposed DCAU fandom only resulted in him bringing different love interests from Bruce's life in that continuity to humiliate them. I guess Zee thankfully was never as big as the other three, not in the DCAU at least, so thank God for that.
But yeah, Andrea is fucked.
Joseph Fisher
It isn't, Kingfag. IT got beat out by Immortal Hulk, Doomsday Clock, and a number of other things. It's a dumpster fire through and through.
Chase Harris
>nope you cannot hide in delusion and ignore objective reality.
Jose Bennett
And Catwoman was a Prostitute ...
Andrew Murphy
Wait, Catwoman is going to be pregnant with Bruce's baby? Did they already do this storyline 15 years ago?
Like, Catwoman got pregnant, Holly Robinson took over as a lesbian catwoman, then everyone decided the entire thing was dumb and Catwoman put the baby up for adoption never to be referenced again.
Jose Peterson
Reminder that according to King, reconciling and establishing this nonexistent relationship with a criminal is
1) more important to Batman than even his own crusade of fighting crime, the whole reason he became Batman in the first place.
2) more important than the death of his son and how their relationship has almost never been reconciled even though when it suits the writer they suddenly are on good terms
3) more important than taking care of a young biological son and making sure at the very least to check up on him in his own house
4) more important than taking care of your amnesiac son and trying to help him gain his memories back instead of letting him do who knows what on the streets
5) more important than actually being able to function as a normal adult and being able to move on when the world gives you problems
The sad thing is that I'm sure I'm missing more but these are the ones that stand out.
King is just one step away from saying BatCat is more important to Bruce than even the death of his parents. Pretty sure his writing implies it but I'll give him the b
Wyatt Morgan
. I hope catwoman is killed off permenently after King fucks off.
Kevin Reyes
So is Talia...
Easton Sanchez
>And Catwoman was a Prostitute ... Catwoman being a prostitute canon in Kings Batpussy.
Chase Wright
>So is Talia... No just Selina .I don't like the idea of Batman hooking up with a HIV prostitute. >_>.
Jacob Wood
>got beat out by Immortal Hulk, Doomsday Clock, and a number of other things. This isn't a zero sum game user, just because other book sell well doesn't mean it's not also a best seller. Of course the idea that sales=quality is also flawed as well as the lack of consideration that Batman is past the 60th issue mark where less dedicated readers usually stop reading while immortal hulk is just past the 20th and that it's still selling only slighty more.
Oliver Thompson
But Catwoman doesn't have HIV.
Samuel Davis
Tom King is overhyped Bendis tier garbage for normie anti-intellectuals.
Oliver Johnson
Kings Batman Meow run is bad, it reads as a fan-fiction, Meow is unnecessarily edgy, at times pretentiously attempting profundity only to fall Meeeow short, and worst of all the MEOW dialogue (unreadable) MEEEOW. I have never read a single comic book that I just couldn't bring myself to finish, until Rooftops.
Isaiah Hernandez
I'm not familiar with King at all, why the fuck does he use elipses so much? It's like he needs at least one person on each page to sputter out their words like an autist.
Jackson Williams
>it reads as a fan-fiction, You can say that about anything, it's a completly meaningless statement.
Aaron Price
I hope Catwoman either goes away for good or dies. A brutal death by the hands of Joker.
Colton Foster
Fuck you too Kingfag. I hope your mother gets raped.
Jonathan Carter
King already confirmed Mask of the Phantasm is canon and has already happened
All Selina deserves is an anti-crabs treatment after all the time she spent being a prostitute.
Gavin Taylor
Poor Andrea .
Joshua Nelson
Since l expect nothing from King, It’s OK that King’s Batman sucks. But please don’t ruin Batman’s history. I really wish his run will be forgotten in a few years.
Brandon Mitchell
I just hope Tynion won’t focus on BatCat.
Leo Lopez
So BatCat mini is basically love triangle romance novel? How original.
Daniel Bailey
This is so stupid. So freaking goddamn stupid. Specially because he will be doing this just to prop Catwoman up over Andrea's shoulders.
Brayden Parker
It will be the "Rules of Engagement" arc all over again. Catwoman ridiculing and besting Bruce' ex just because for pure shipping pettiness.
Brody Gomez
Wasn't it Slams babby?
Angel Jones
>lets all pretend we give a shit about Andrea Catwoman has been Batman's love interest for decades and all of a sudden Yea Forums treats her like some brand new OC.
Alexander King
Ace resisting to the urge of peeing on Swamp Thing.
Ayden Phillips
So, how likely is it that actual marriage happens in the end of BatCat? I hope it won’t happen, but considering King really wants to leave his mark to Batman history, the odds seems pretty high.
Jaxson Rivera
Because she came from easily the best animated movie done about a DC property. So of course people will care about her.
Dylan Young
>Catwoman has been Batman's love interest for decades and all of a sudden Yea Forums treats her like some brand new OC. Nobody give a shit for Catwoman.
Dominic Torres
>Catwoman has been Batman's love interest for decades and all of a sudden Yea Forums treats her like some brand new OC. And she has rarely been a good character over that period. I can only think of Ed Brubaker's run, really. And even then that was nothing that special.
Jackson Moore
Tom King was fired.
Julian Williams
>So of course people will care about her. But they don't. Andrea hasn't been mentioned in years.
Evan Wilson
tynion is a "don't rock the waters" filler before the next #1
Grayson Lewis
Dude, if you're a big King fan that's cool, but you're being a bit silly here. It's history at this point that they moved him off the main book to a 12 issue or whatever containment book to let him finish with dignity. This happened.
Jace Smith
He wasn't tho.
Gabriel Martinez
>fired >but given another book with DC’s top selling character I don’t think you understand what “fired” means. Skirt wasn’t “Fired” from ASM, Tomasi wasn’t fired off of Superman.
Gabriel Gutierrez
>>fired > still fired
Austin Ward
Why would she, retard? She comes from an animated movie and was supposed to be a one time done deal. If the producers and writers of the DCAU had kept using her as a rogue in random episodes you'd end up having diminished returns. She was too special to be done that way.
Bentley Ward
>but you're being a bit silly here I'm being silly? People are saying Catwoman has multiple STDs like she's an actual real person and not a fictional character. You cannot deny that the anti-Catwomanfags are being autistic as fuck.
Carson Richardson
>She was too special to be done that way. But she's not and is actually a forgettable character.
Cooper Cox
>But she's not and is actually a forgettable character. If that's the case, why is King being petty as fuck and bringing the character over from the cartoons just so he can shit on her to prop his waifu?
Aaron Wright
Nobody give a shit for Catwoman.
Dominic Howard
Nah, especially now that we know Batman is getting what amounts to a filler writer. It's pretty clear he is getting to the end of his run. Changing the book is just a marketing gimmick to attempt to raise overall sales.
Grayson Turner
It seems Catwoman’s return made Batman shitty Hero. Who can support BatCat after reading this?
Cameron Sullivan
Tom King's writing of the romance between Batman and Catwoman...that has become one of those types of romances that makes me want to Puke. Its almost to the point in which I want to see the Joker come and beat catwoman to death with a crowbar or something, just so we can get a stop.
David Jenkins
just thinking about how Batcat are off “training” on a tropical island whilst Damian is being traumatised in Gotham after seeing Alfred’s head get cracked.he Tom King Batman is straight doodie bro. He couldnt even beat Bane without his Venom, and his girl left him at the altar.
Justin Russell
Some people told me the run would go back to sell 100.000+ issues now that we got to the final arc.
Evan Miller
>that has become one of those types of romances that makes me want to Puke That's just like your opinion man.
Dominic Diaz
>checked em Way to waste quads, Batman has always been a shitty hero, Catwoman just made you realize it
Bentley Bailey
Hope Damian and DICK take over Gotham security and send Bruce to fuck himself with the Cat Skank
Lincoln Reed
Have you ever consider that you're projecting the idea that King is petty?Like how is this him shitting on Andrea to put Catwoman over her?
Carson Morgan
I think its obvious Bruces family is going to be ripped apart for Batcat.
John Brown
Because the "Rules of Engagement" arc was the most petty shit i've read outside of Fanfiction.net.
I stopped reading King Batman after the complete cringe amateur hour that was I Am Suicide. I see these threads every so often and am always confused. is Alfred dead?
Luis White
What, is Catwoman supposed to be girlfriends with Talia? Are they supposed to part amicably as if Talia doesn't fully support her father's centuries long campaign of murder and corruption?
Zachary Myers
That's the most lazy shit ever. Instead of creating a villain of his own, or even creating his own version of the Phantasm of his own since the character doesn't exist in the mainline comics, he'll just use the animated movie as basis and treat it as having happened in the past minus some details. He does the same with the Batcat romance as well, constantly referencing golden age and post-crisis comics featuring moments between Batman and Catwoman to show that the relationship to side-step actually developing the relationship himself. Sometimes even referencing conflicting canon without giving a single fuck. What a low-effort, lazy cunt.
Luis Roberts
Damian saw Bane breaking Alfreds neck. Solicitations hints at Bruce missing a foundation of his life. But it's comics, who knows.
Jonathan Wilson
>tomasis detective comics has been arguable better than his beloved Batman & Robin series
Only the most recent arc has been okay. The build up to the #1000 was trash and the Arkham Knight was a massive disappointment.
John Fisher
>The build up to the #1000 was trash and the Arkham Knight was a massive disappointment. Kingfag pls ...
Jackson Thomas
The whole arc was a literal cat fight to determine who is worthier of being with Batman, with Talia emerging from a orgy as her introduction to the story and losing badly in a sword fight despite being a master-swordmaiden, all while Catwoman belittle and mocks her throughout it. Her AND Batman, might i add.
Batman and Catwoman were an enjoyable and Tolerable pairing, before Tom King turned them into insufferable love sick Tumblr posting like teenagers!
James Jenkins
>Sometimes even referencing conflicting canon without giving a single fuck I agree with most of your points but are you retarded? It's very clear the Year One vs Silver Age stuff is intended and he said it'll be answered by the end of the book
Thomas Thompson
>Are they supposed to part amicably But they did. After Talia was mocked and beaten by Selina, she praised Selina to Bruce and gave her support for the marriage. Because of course she had to. Selina's perfect.
Jace Young
>The build up to the #1000 was trash and the Arkham Knight was a massive disappointment. Stephanie Brownfag eat shit.
Grayson Brooks
>political reasons Is just shipping.
Thomas Reyes
We received the answer already, and it sucked. Batman doesn't feel that the "street" meeting counted because back then he wasn't Batman yet, so only the "boat" meeting counts. Because his real identity is Bruce Wayne, but "Bat". So that's why the "boat" is their first meeting.
Lucas Moore
OP are you going to keep making these threads after King is off the book in a few months? Might as well make as many threads as possible while you still can.
Camden Miller
Tom King is this generation's Bendis
Carter James
>King's Bruce How can DC entrust their whole universe on King, Bendis and Snyder is beyond me. A shame, as DC has the best artists in the business.
Brayden Robinson
Don't forget he got his editor fired. Now King is fired.
Christian Gray
I all of Tomasi's tec run so far. Really enjoyed the Batman and Robin action during the Arkham Knight arc.
Alexander Gonzalez
King came in hot off of the Vision comic and did Omega Men and his Green Lantern tie-in to Darkseid War were among the best comics at the time. Bendis was a big name that DC was just yanking from Marvel because they were aggressively trying to outdo Marvel in everything they did. Snyder, regardless of how you feel about his comics, has been putting out top selling comics for DC.
Asher Ward
>Vision comic and did Omega Shit.
James Stewart
>and Dick You mean "Ric"
Dylan Morales
Tomasi says Dick is back in his Run summer 2021 .
Hunter Nelson
So we have two years of Ric Grayson?
Jonathan Wood
I th ink that Selina is a good match for Bruce.
Talia used to be a good match until writers made her go full chaotic evil.
I've been flamed for saying this but Diana is the best match for Bruce but writers don't seem interested in that pairing.
Andrew Gomez
I think a secret marriage with only a handful of people knowing will happen.
Hunter Martinez
DC might've survived either Bendis or King individually, but having them to happen both at the same time is proving fatal.
Adrian Jackson
>144 Posts >25 IPs
wow
Jack Anderson
Batcat is still shit.
Henry Fisher
The arc is called the City of Bane but it should be called "Bat & Cat Summer Romance".
too bad that Batman is a pussy in this comic XD...I would say that he writes them like rich jaded celebrities. Imagine if this was Kim and Kanye. I'm rolling my eyes in that same way.
I liked the pre-1000 arc AND the more recent stuff. Only the Arkham Knight was bad (Really, were the 1000 issues cursed or something? Why did that story get to be the one being set up there...)
Gavin Ward
>Cosmic Book News Gonna shame you for this until you stop it.
Robert Price
Still can't believe the same guy who wrote this also wrote >BATCATBATCATBATCAT
Jackson Roberts
He had back to back life changing crisis. The problem is that he never recovered and it has changed his writing and focus and nobody told him to snap out of it. Oddly enough it's the exact same as with Loeb and the death of his son. And in that case DC sent him over to Marvel where he started work on Hulk and we all saw how that went.
Caleb Gonzalez
Stop posting on this website, you retarded schizo.
Not only did you bump a thread that could've died but you're accomplishing nothing because OP is just going to make another thread later just like they've been doing for the past week.
Justin Reyes
I disagree. I didn't really like the start of the run as much.
Justin Howard
It is still the top selling ongoing. Batman Superman #1 took the spot last month, but that's a #1.
DC has destroyed everything but Batman and Green Lantern, and their dark work remains unfinished.
Luis Hill
Batman’s reward for being a terrible father. Bruce is a hypocritic. Bruce’s hypocritical treatment of Jason Todd. Bruce is okay with Damian killing left and right. He doesn’t tries to repair his family. Batman’s adopted Kids are more like him than his own kid. Bruce treats his adopted kids like trash. Batman having his own kids, and family destroys the idea Of Batman and his adopted children. Tom King is a terrible writer.
James Clark
To be fair Batman comics were always were poorly written.
Owen Sanders
I'm just gonna pretend they legit have completely different memories of their first meeting.
Lincoln Bennett
Nope.
Carson Barnes
So what's the problem, that Bruce isn't dating the terrorist who killed his son?
Carter James
While Batman was on his booty call he sent Damian in to do his job & got Alfred murdered in front of his son. Tom King's Batman is the most pathetic hero & father of all times.
James Bell
No, it's a writing shitting on one character just to prop another, all done for the sake of pushing his favorite ship as being above anyone and anything else. It's the vindictive behavior and hack writing that adds nothing.
Isaac Howard
Kings Bruce treats Damian like trash, The fact is that while Bruce and Selina were drinking cocktails, yoga posing and trying their hands at costumed mountain climbing Alfred was already a hostage and Damian was likely heading into Gotham to do what his father should have been doing.
Christopher Turner
>he sent Damian in to do his job I don't get this one bit, Batman has always been super protective of his family when shit hits the fan, this just seem extra ooc
Ryan Butler
I can't stand Bruce as a respectable human being, when he is portrayed as an incompetent and pathetic buffoon, a man-child with tamper tantrums and who needs to have a girl to actually be a somewhat able crime-fighter - but still the Worst Dad Ever. There is a problem when Bruce isn't the appealing factor for me to read Bat-themed books, but instead a repellent.
Jack Brown
>I don't get this one bit, Batman has always been super protective of his family when shit hits the fan, this just seem extra ooc Of all of his allies the one he chose to send in was his 13 year old son? Stupid.
Kayden Allen
Bruce don't Love Damian.
Bruce's also the worst father ever and incredibly dumb, but Alfred truly takes the cake in sheer imbecility here. Why would you send just Damian instead of him plus Tim plus Huntress, Orphan and Signal, who were all here to see Batman punch Tim but also be proven right ? How does it make sense to just send the youngest -if extremely gifted warrior- of the Bat-Family ? Cass could probably handle Flashpoint Batman by herself, Duke could have been used to try and talk some sense in Claire once she was caught, and if need be, Huntress could also have hurt Thomas real bad, while Tim went into the Manor to free Alfred.
Wyatt Wilson
Batman was always a bad father and hypocrite. This is why Dick Grayson would always be something Bruce Wayne would never be a good character.
Nothing in this shit is coherent. The last time Bruce saw Alfred both Bane and Thomas had broke inside the mansion, and Bane had beat the shit out of him while Alfred watched helplessly - if this was a proper Batman story Alfred would have threaten them with his shotgun with full of intention of blasting full of lead. Either way, how come in the latest issue Bruce says to Selina that he had entered in contact with Alfred and that Alfred was safe? How can he trust such information if the last time he saw the man the guy was being held hostage by Bane and Thomas, both who now control Gotham? And why would he send Damian alone inside the city to fight everyone off?
Nothing makes sense, shit just happens to act as set up for more bad shit to happen.
Nolan Sanchez
I refuse to believe Bruce would send a kid into face 3 heavy's who individually have bested him.
Since we live in current year she'll just get an abortion and the rest of the Sirens will throw her an abortion celebration party.
Tyler Myers
>once murder crazy son promised to not kill criminals >later shoots the penguin in the face on tv and now there's a manhunt for him >LOL WHY IS BATMAN SUCH A DICK
> Morrison canon If they actually bothered to retcon that, Talia makes the better fit. However, DC needs to give Damian an edgy backstory and Bruce an evil Ex so that's not going to happen.
Connor Evans
I mean yeah, if you take the concept of adopting kids as soldiers, you're gonna be a bad father. It's clear he loves Damian the most though.
The sad thing is, his idea wasn't bad and very in-character for Ra's to raise his daughter as a soldier and Damian's backstory could make sense without character assassinating Talia. Maybe someday, Talia would finally go back to her anti-hero origins.
Bentley Long
Honestly, it's been so long since I read it. What's your issue with it with a little bit of context if possible. Memory isn't all there. What about that run made her any less anti-hero? Cause she was villainous?
