As much as I like idea of replacing Gabriel by Lila it's most likely not going to happen. At first it will change status quo, and this show hates it more than anything. At second: Lila is the same age as other students. That means she cannot use Butterfly Miraculous with full potential. Five minutes is just not enough time to even draw attention of Ladybug.

I would find Marinette's stalking as intimidating as I should if it were actually geared towards doing something to Adrien. Everything she's done has been an a concerted effort to NOT do something, to hide, to conceal.
And I can't see that as on par with Lila or Chloe's bullshit.

Do Adrien and Marinette's yin-yang energies rub off on each other? Even when they're not transformed, Adrien becomes more expressive and energetic when he's around her, and Marinette goes placid- or she does in the few moments when they're actually communicating.

I had the same experience this last week. Binged the hell out of it including all the dumb extra Youtube content, now down to the last four episodes.

Watching Marinette rapidly spiral into being like a millimeter shy of full-blown yandere in Season 3 has been kind of weird. Like, she obviously had the potential from day one, but I didn't think she would ever get this openly deranged.

One thing that I vastly prefer with this PV is the night setting for the super hero stuff, it's so pleasing to the eyes and I wish the actual show had more of it, also that fucking snow scene omg yes.

Another thing I kinda like is how Felix (Adrian in the first pitch) is actually just a douche, and him trying to woe Noir is just him trying to get Ladybug to kiss him so he can get rid of his ring that brings him badluck.
But I think I ultimately prefer the full shows take were Adrian is just a himbo with about the same amount of braincells as Marinette, it's a more wholesome and fun couple.

I love that this fictional version of Paris is so clean, the best friend character is creole, the bread is properly represented (as opposed to a baguette sword fight), the pyramid is there, and there was a low key racist villian in Marinette's own grandfather - what was based on Obelix. I think they even mentioned Charles DeGaulle airport once.
It's a great representation of French culture, even if it is very surface level. I wish they'd dig deeper into other things like Lucky Luke, hip-hop, wine, voting, motorcycles, atheist/women freemasons, and July 14th.

The romance subtext they used in desperada is weird since I can't imagine them not fucking it up. The basic lesson of marinette giving the miraculous to the wrong person is fine but they also included the subtext of "adrien wrong choice luka right choice" with romance as well.

Maybe voice-types sound different if you can understand the language. To me as a mere Anglophone, the French actress sounds like a horrible nagging housewife in her forties, while the English actress might actually have the cutest voice I have ever heard in my entire life.

The show is slated for at least 2 more seasons, hence why they put alternate love interests in. The alt ships are a red herring, I predict there is a less than 0.5% chance of them being the final ships. Which leaves about a 2.3% chance of NO pairing by the end of the show.

Depends on how complex Emilie made him really. If the theory is right and Emilie created a sentimonster complicated enough to actually break the peacock miraculous, then he might go by a different set of rules than other sentimonsters.

Either way, it's a fun theory with a lot of potential for angst on all sides, and honestly gives our protagonist more of a reason to be invested in the main conflict other than just 'a random old man thrust this responsibility upon her'. It's not just Hawkmoth's love interest that's on the line anymore if the theory is correct, it's Ladybug's as well. It would create some fun parallels between Marinette and Gabriel and allow her character to shine by resisting the temptation that Gabriel couldn't.

I get why it seems pretty far fetched, but you have to admit, it's a plot twist that would offer a lot to the story, especially if this cartoon ever has the balls to do a kid-friendly exploration of what it means to be human.
