it being episodic made me drop it. It's plainly too boring and feels like there is no real stakes or new interesting characters. Redpill me on it if I was wrong but I watched it up to episode where Grandpa Frog was watching some show on her phone (That has ridiculous battery life)

They kind of address that, Grampa frog runs down her Barrett so they have to get electric bugs to recharge it. They overdo it to the point that the phone’s battery reads 10,000%. Apart from that there is some development, boy frog and grampa get love interests, Anne learns how to ride the snail, the poliwog sets a new town record for long distance spitting and the group almost get eaten by cannibals on two separate occasions.

After the mayor's corruption is taken seriously and he flees town in "Toad Tax" it's very weird that he's just there like normal a couple episodes later or how "Bizarre Bazaar" starts with a comment indicating "A Trip to Archives" was right before, but it's actually separated by a few episodes.

He's a corrupt politician in a cartoon town, of course he slips out of trouble

But the other toads wanted his head and his corruptions really hurt other people for the first time. It's like a "shit gets real" moment when this minor character is eliminated.

That scene didn't make much sense; she started reading the book because she LIKED it, but that scene plays out as if she forced herself to read it to get it over with, and then she acts like her riding experience that Hop Pop doesn't know about was horrible when actually she started enjoying herself a lot and was very cheerful at the end.

There are weird little mistakes or inconsistencies between the script and visuals sometimes; when Anne and Hop Pop were on the look-out for the fake monster, the dialogue refers to a lantern when there's actually a candle and Hop Pop refers to Anne turning a different color after drinking the frog tea but she didn't. Sure he could have been joking, but in a cartoon she probably should have literally and vibrantly changed color.

When most of the main cast fell into the training chamber under the house they react as if suddenly seeing it when they recover their lantern, but the room is actually quite bright.

Ivy said she took Sprig's shell to polish it but it looks the same before and after.

These are small problems to be sure but it's strange that they're there at all.

She was never really a bad kid in the first place. That is, aside from theft before she got there, and that was kind of just peer pressure she wasn't really enthused about anyway. It seems more about her maturing than anything. She was a good kid in a bad situation, and now she's a good kid in a good situation. Her friends that were pressuring her into the theft might have a more difficult situation with which to mature in a fine people.
