yeah although a late twist was that humans are beings of particle-wave matter too, our AT fields are just so ingrained we can't manipulate them even if we tried without losing all sense of self and reverting to LCL, which is what happened to Shinji when he achieved absolute synchronization with #01

Well a pre-requisite for dealing with it would be the ability to pierce its AT field, which can only be done with either the spear of longinus or another strong AT field. AT fields can easily repel the entire world's nuclear arsenal so brute strength won't cut it.

Pretty much you're looking exclusively at characters who can use magic or spiritual powers (pretty much what AT fields amount to) or characters with giant mechas that can wield the spear. And I can think of one giant mecha that's got at least a 50/50 shot at it.

The rebuild movies have been out for years, user.

Rebuild 1 is mostly a retelling of the first ~7 episodes or so crammed into a movie with way higher production value, with a couple of new details that heavily hint at things being not right.

Rebuild 2 starts with Asuka showing up starts to diverge significantly over the course of the movie, and then takes the established Eva plot and smashes it on the ground during the Zeruel fight. "Everything thats supposed to happen from here? Yeah, that shit is off the table now."

Rebuild 3 has a 14 year timeskip and changes genres entirely, and is a new story.

Rebuild 4 has yet to come out, and after many delays is being promised sometime next year.

I prefer the original Ramiel, it just being a big ominous cube is cooler to me than it doing all sorts of goofy flashy transformations, I prefer it to be some ominous energy being just being emitted from a giant floating octahedron. Similarly I prefer the original Sahaquiel, a big dripping orange cartoony eye is more visually interesting than the new one. I don't think either are bad, but I just get the feeling that they are trying to impress me more with how they can be animated with the simpler designs being more inspired.

you can brute force AT fields, its just require stupid amount of energy and i think in ramiel case they also did it when it was focusing in atacking and not defending
so a pre cordinated atack could do it, you just need time to prepare and a good strategy team
or strengh enought to surpass AT fields, which depends on what angel you are dealing with and if they are focusing in defending themself

so dunno, i guess the marvel/dc universe has beings whit enought strengh to brute force them or inteligent ones to create a weapond capable of doing so

There are a few things that look better, sure, but everything else is worse. Anno should have moved the fuck on and the only way the rebuilds are salvageable is if 3.0+1.0 reveals it all to be an elaborate artistic statement on how people like flashy soulless garbage but I think there's basically no chance of that.
