The shite moderation has to be a factor too. I'm pretty sure a lot of people just stopped trying to come to these threads because they'll just get deleted on sight and Yea Forums's not as fun a place to discuss the show. So the only people left that care enough on Yea Forums to discuss the show are the vulturefuckers (Who I don't inherently despise, I've seen worse), but when that's the only thing these threads are about this show's bound to end up getting /trash/ed. We narrowly avoided it the first time (When we drove "he who shall not be named" out when he never even watched the show), but I feel like it's about to happen again. And we're already in a shaky standing with the jans.

The Hunter had a bunch of humanoid looking skulls, but he scoffed when he first learned Skeksil offering him a gelfling as a hunting target. We know that gelflings and podlings aren't the only intelligence race of creatures out there, since we saw those stitched lipped slaves. So about how many of kinds of intelligent creatures are out there? I'm guessing they're across the other or very far away, to justify their rarity/absence in the show and movie
Are the mystics so lethargic because they never used the crystal? Maybe they were actually significantly more active when they and the skeksis were "new" and only got all slow because of hundreds of trine's worth of aging?
Would you prefer a "everyone dies" ending for the show or a "actually, some of the gelfling managed to hide so Kira and Jen's kids don't have to resort to incest to repopulate the race?" Do you think the latter could be done well, or would it feel like a copout no matter what?

Probably a more metaphorical instance than literal, like the EXPERIENCE of taking down worthy foes added to his strength. Something in that vein

I see this one as being a result of the split. Skeksis embodied ambition and drive, uRu got the patience. Their lack of action could be said to have had as much a part to play in the failing state of the world as the Skeksis' own constant hunger. Too mild to go with too forceful

For the first, I'm highly expecting it to happen. There's been too much set up already for it not to be the case. It'll still be a sad, overwhelming defeat for sure, but Jen and Kira are absolutely not the only gelflings alive during the events of the film.
As for the split timeline, there's no way that's happening. It defeats the purpose of the film and the many trials Kira and Jen had to go through there. Jen and Kira's victory is made more potent by the overwhelming odds they had to face. To just remove those odds and risk entirely isn't great.
