I like the show because of it's basic aspects, when I heard about it a long time ago i was just interested in what it had too offer as a action comedy series about a trio of heroes, the fact that it is willing to make these jokes is just icing on the cake.

They both ended with characters learning a moral, which when packaged with the other episodes makes it feel destined to stay stuck in Cartoon Network's push toward preschool-level shows.
The fact that Not Impressed ends with Mao Mao learning absolutely nothing, plus Mao Mao's desperation for admiration being depicted like an insane stalker, throws that idea out the window.
What's better is after Not Impressed it hardly goes back to the episodes that end with a moral.

He does learn something though: that his brainbroke ass needs therapy. Also Outfoxed ends with Adorabat explicitly learning a lesson, and it's even funnier because she takes Mao's "don't trust anyone" advise to heart and realizes that she's dead inside, only to shrug it off not two seconds later.
I agree that the writers got better about being less on the nose about the moral, that episode just doesn't stick out to me for some reason.

You'd be surprised at the shit that flies in TV-14, and TV-MA is pretty much balls to the wall, with a few exceptions. So pretty much, its a varying field that depends on the personal tastes and political environment of the censor board of the current age. The same goes for the MPAA.

It's the closest in tone and humor to OK KO, and the creator even worked as a boarder on that show, but it's better executed as far as the animation, comedic timing and anime referencing go. The animation reminds me of the Mercury Filmworks episodes of Star Vs., almost as good but not quite, but stays that level of quality throughout unlike Star. We Snore Bears, there's no competition. Give it the first eight episodes, they're 11 minutes each and it really picks up after that. Watch it in production order if you can (pic related), or at least watch "Weapon of Choice" before "Small" because the latter spoils a major plot point in the former episode in CN's order
