I know what you mean, but I prefer it to a series blowing half its budget on stunt casting triple A actors who give performances that are either the exact same level or significantly worse than someone like Roger Craig Smith or Matthew Mercer can give. Fucking Gen Lock and the Watership Down remake did this shit.

Dark Crystal is an execption, since most of the performances are REALLY good, but it still feels unnecessary.

Episode 7 was probably my favorite. It's interesting to read the interviews, the puppet show was the result of trying to make 3 minutes of exposition entertaining and they did it swimmingly. The Fear and Loathing inspirations for skekGra and urGoh were great to find out about too.
I like the evil version of the show's theme that plays sometimes during Skeksis/Arathim scenes.

I have a feeling all the non-Castle Skeksis including the ones that'll show up later will end up being fan-favorites. Hunter and Heretic already are, Mariner already has a ton of people hyped for her reveal, and Ung is ready to arrive and kick Chamberlain's shit in.
They're super interesting since they're not only in pretty great shape but they also all seem to recognize the hypocrisy and cowardice of the main ones. Even Ung in the film who grew into their clique was still assertive and took no one's bullshit.

It plays very rarely. The big time I noticed it was when the Arathim fully mind-controlled Stone-In-Wood.

As someone with an irrational fear of bugs, spiders, or anything of the sort, the mere thought of having all those threaders all over my body and then releasing them while they crawl all over to run off absolutely repulsed me in a way more than any horror film has in a long fucking time.
