PERFECT LEX
Thanks for the storytime
Bat-Lex is actually pretty awesome
The End
So this entire issue was a Lex get out death free card
I'd try some Superdoom cereal
kek that smug face
Why did Flash Lex make me laugh
Is it the baldness
Wait what
So was any of the alt good Lexes real?
not bad
This is where it gets confusing because why would kid Lex imagine all that?
That wasn't half bad
It's not a groundbreaking concept by any means but it's always good to see possibilities where Lex gets out of his own way
This actually worth reading?
My bet is that it's all real until the kid kills the botanist Lex. Alexander agrees with botanist Lex and which makes Apex Lex Black Mercys him
I think this entire thing was Lex questioning what he's become, who he serves. He went on this pilgrimage visiting other Lex's as a way to take a literal good look at himself, self therapy if you will. He might have just realized that in his pursuit to become Apex, he can't really call himself Lex anymore.
Lex's own damn pride will save The Multiverse
Wait is the the same continuity as the current Earth-1 Superman book? Why is bedlex so smug and why is whitelex thanking him?
>This actually worth reading?
No.
>Wait what
>So was any of the alt good Lexes real?
You could always say everything was fake as soon as you introduce a plot device that allows for altered states of reality like that, but in this case it's heavily implied they were not fake since he actually sources the black mercy from the last one he talks to.
It's Earth-1, but the future, so it's basically a what if.
Anyway, because he apparently got Superman locked by black mercy for years only waking up after a long time very weakened and old, so he "won", even though he apparently accomplished nothing else in life.
Loved it, good issue. Was shocked they referenced Morrison’s Action run.
>Why is bedlex so smug and why is whitelex thanking him?
That's explained here:
>Luthor used the black mercy on Superman.
>He "dreamed" of a life on Krypton. A family. A purpose.
>A world where he was no longer alone.
>Lex woke Superman--
>--And eight billion souls faded-- died all over again.
>Superman's eyes opened...
>...And Lex was smiling.
Conscious Lex gets upset at first because the comatose Lex allowed his entire life to be consumed by trying to make Superman suffer with that black mercy prank. But then he thanked him because he realized his own susceptibility to that fault and has learned to make his own life something better.
That page needed a FLex mentallo somewhere in there.
probably because bedlex shows him what truly will make him happy and whatever he's doing now is because he's lost his way
whatever he's doing now = this stupid Doom shit and everything he's doing to himself during it
The way it's set up gives future authors to say "Lex from Earth-13, 47, etc. isn't dead, that was just a dream." However much of this issue after he gets the kid, that's real, is up to you.
Which Lex is best from the variety we got? Earth-32 BatLex was great, and I'm digging Lex-13's robes enough that I want to see more, but Botanist Lex is definitely my favorite. Whole thing feeds into how peaceful that Earth is, where Lex really did devote his intelligence to help humanity. And, of course, he's a psychonaut too, cause Earth-47.
Botanist Lex seems achievable in a way all the others don't and he genuinely seems the happiest
And he's probably one of the 3 or 4 dicks (metaphorically in Swamp Thing's case) in the world that Poison Ivy would jump on
Ivy would absolutely bone Lex-47. And yeah, he's so at peace with himself, and so content with what he's done. In a movie adaptation, he'd be played by Jeff Bridges.
BatLex and Martian Superman is pretty cool.
All Luthors are doomed to be bald,
So how long til we get a Superman Lex Luthor? A Lex-El?
BatLex has a Dark Multiverse counterpart too...
The Batman Who Laughs mentions getting a 'Lex who fused with Bruce Wayne'. I could see Lex picking him and the other Dark Multiverse Lex Luthors up.
All those different Luthors and none of them is Superman's dad.
>Batman who LMAOs and Apex Lex are going to war later this year
And by making a back up plan he is setting himself for failure.
Thanks, OP.
It's pretty clear this story is setting up him regretting the choice he made to side with Perpetua. He probably will be killed off by the end and the kid Lex will be his way of returning as a human.
I like that this means Perfect Lex will die and/or betray Perpetua. I hate that the next Lex will be a psychopath that killed Botany Lex. Im sad, that we will never get Bat Lex in canon.
flora = plant
fauna = animal
idiot writer
Black Mercy is a plant though.
It probably will be a clone based on the kid or just overwriting the kid's mind with his own, not the kid himself.
>LUTHOR, LEX:
>HUMAN DNA:
>BACK UP 1.0
Yeah, that sounds about on the level of senseless evil Lex would do.
Didn't Lex die in the Earth-One Superman book?
Well male Lex died defending Clark from Zod, female Lex blames Clark for it and keeps male Lex's body in a tank
I find this page funny
This comic is shit...
Why the fuck does this "Year of the Villain" thing even exist?
just to piss you off user. that's DC's entire raison d'etre now
I don't think that's canon?
Lex getting an army of Lex's to BTFO Batman who LMAOS would be hilarious.
and right up his alley
Wait Earth 50 is the Justice Lords Earth right? Did President Lex fucking replace the Lincoln Mountment with himself before Superman killed him?
It would fit his ego
Lex stories are always so fun.
Earth One, according to Multiversity, is young and still "cooling" meaning it's continuity is very malleable and subject to change. Meaning they can really do whatever they want with Earth One stories.
Didn't expect Superdoom to appear.
>What will living cost me?
oof, hot take for a child
>It's no surprise that the boy finds you very impressive. You mastered fooling yourself long ago, didn't you, Lex?
Oof
Great issue
>Jonah Lex
We're getting these villain events pretty consistently since the New 52 every three years or so.
>Center Lex
>I have no idea who this is
Is the the best luthor?
Yeah
Luthorion
Er, Red Son? RS Superman is Luthor's descendant.
