This week's Star Wars comics
>Age Of Resistance Rey #1
>Age Of Resistance Rose Tico #1
>Doctor Aphra #36
This week's Star Wars comics
Even in the art she looks like a dog, kek.
>Just like the simulations!
I can forgive some of the mistakes made with Rey but goddamn this character managed to be worse.
The wrong sister died. Paige is just fine
Finally, a comic made just for Ethan Van Sciver
I unironically like the Resistance Bomber design.
>you now remember Leia lived in Episode 8
Will they kill her offscreen in Episode 9?
They really want me to like Rose, but they're not giving me any reason to.
>all this recap
This better be the beginning of the end of this series
The design is nice but i hate how they're slow as shit. Between them and the B Wing and Y wing I'd pick the wings every time.
/swco/ when?!
The recent solicitations give me the impression that it's coming to an end. Unless they plan on having her outsmart Vader three times in a row.
I SAID THIS BETTER BE THE BEGINNING OF THE END
You know usually I'd complain about posting images during a storytime, but that was excellent timing there
christ leia looks like a old coke hag
>leia and chewie hugging
Well it's a decent start
based and true
>he was just a man, after all, and had no room in his mind for anything but concquest"
what the fuck does that mean
Nevermind
Never. Even when Resistance began, they wouldn't allow it.
>Fucking Rose gets a comic
>Luke gets shit
The state of mouse wars.
Luke had a one-shot too, user
starwars.fandom.com
>BOMBERS ARE SO SHIT TWO KIDS CAN DESTROY TWELVE OF THEM
Reminder that this is before her training in The Last Jedi
well nobody's surprised there
the bigger question is: why didn't she mind control the whole first order into stopping the war?
>resistance villain issues are based as fuck
>resistance hero issues are bland as shit
IT'S JUST LIKE THE FILMS!
WHY THE FUCK NOT?!
I like this page, mostly because even when Aphra thinks she's a clever git she's always pants shittingly scared of Vader despite what all the anons go on about her outsmarting Vader.
I think they are relaunching everything since they are finally advancing the timeline of the stories to take place after Hoth.
Next week
>Age of Resistance: Kylo Ren #1 (final issue)
>Jedi Fallen Order: Dark Temple #2
>Target Vader #3
Blame futafags
She's outsmarted him three times already
too much futa circlejerk iirc
>"Choke me daddy vader!"
>"As you wish..."
That's a stretch, surviving Vader by running away and tricking criminals into fighting him so he slows down before he notices you're there isn't outsmarting and neither is playing the odds and hoping he doesn't chop you in half.
she looks like a potato.
I remember how Luke struggled and ultimately failed to use the mind trick when he tried it for the first time in Heir to the Jedi. Meanwhile, Rey only needs two attempts.
Thanks for the storytimes, OP.
> he's ready to use the saber on her.
Awww... Vader does care.
Bump fror Aphra because nobody cares about the amazing human potato or Rey.
/swco/
>Star Wars knows a earth Yin and Yang
What did they mean withthis?
What the shit.
>implying the yin yang symbol is groundbreaking
"Hurr what if things were opposite but like equal hurr"
Not that hard.
>used converted bombers
They had to use them!
>They polluted our home
The planet looks like a moon. There seems to be no plant life. What is there pollute? Wasnt tear the planet and ressouces enough?
>welcomed by Hodo
Leia came to them apologizing
So did they know they were important? And does Leia visit eversy bomber pilot personally? And does she give them a choice to leave the resistance?
They really are insync with the current movies.
>Muh space home!
This is something that always bugs me watching Star Trek TNG and DS9. Every few seasons they have to relocate some space pioneers to a new planet because the one they're on now is dangerous/owned by enemies of the Federations/Humans and every time theres some shitty prospector type bitching about "MUH SPACE HOME".
Motherfucker, this whole place looks like the shittiest parts of southern California, you're clearly a main sequence Human with predictable environmental needs and your family couldn't have possibly lived here longer than 2 MAYBE 3 generations tops. On top of all that, space travel is such a triviality and planets so numerous that they could have their pick of any Earth-like planet near a trade route.
But they cling to their space home because if they act reasonable the plot won't happen. I fucking hate it. Just move, you greedy shits.
Nah. Rose is bad, but she's really just a waste of time. Her entire plotline with Finn is egregious filler, but it is just filler. Rey in contrast is the center of the story. She's a much bigger problem.
Jesus, of all the terrible hair styles they could have gone with. Why this one?
The problem with them is that ryan wanted the ww2 bomber feel.
And that this was easy avoidable. Why not have something visible that pushes them out or creates a magnet field similar to gravity? That would explain even more why people have gravity in ships.
Sad when a comic tie in makes the loss of a beloved character more impactfull than the movie!
lol magnetic bombs
Luke had the one-off with the tree back before TLJ came out. He also has the whole Star Wars ongoing, not that it's any good.
No idea. Men are lazy? Men try to conquer more power?
I swear to god nobody likes these comics and it's just Disney shills trying to desperately sell their product.
Before Episode Nine comes out I'm going to a Best of DisneyWars storytime because you're shitting on some good stuff among the shit
Some of the Darth Vader stuff has been good. I especially liked the Dark Lord of the Sith series even if Super Powerful Warrior Jedi guy was kind of a contrivance and Jocasta Nu's last stand was goofy. I'll take that over trash like Dark Empire anyday.
The biggest issue with the comics has been their lack of willingness to do much exploring, so we end up with interquel/prequel stuff that omly has enough room to be stupid.
Not gonna lie, I fucking love the idea of Aphra getting fucking clowned on by a wannabe Palpatine.
have sex incel
I agree. If they would explore the aspect of a rich mine or they officially own this space of land.
Its never explained why this moonbase is so important that they cant leave.
the age of comics are just shelf fillers to pad out an entire year of comics so they don't have to come up with something else
>magnetic plates
That makes no sense, if this is the reason they drop.
They would cling to the next object, the bomber itself.
Please tell me that magnetic plate is for staying in the bomb magazine.
If her parents are miners then the mines are no more important than the office park any given user's parents work at. If your parents office was being torn down, would you give a shit? Fuck, would THEY even? Or would they just start looking for another job?
Like how the fuck do you romanticize a rare mineral mine? Did mummy give you minecart rides as a child, in the giant carts with all the rocks and participant? Or maybe there never was any risky aspect to this kind of mine since the planet only ever got polluted after the NotEmpire came through so we gotta assume they're mining candy.
It's just story BEATS. When you drill down any further than surface level there's nothing there. Everything Disney has added to Star Wars is an utter dead end, a non-starter, an intellectual cul de sac.
Why the fuck does Marvel think anyone wants this garbage? A Snaggletooth or Yak Face comic would sell better.
Read the data file there. What's more is this is why that one explosion in the film happens
>They've got the wrong brother
If they are owner of the office, they would. If all credits and ressources are in that.
These mine are their income, thats how they can trade for food.
But i agree that Disney is al about surface level with no storytelling that compensate that.
Depends. Mining towns or any town built around an industry is usually has pride in that industry and strongly encourage it as a generational way of life. Many stories have been written around the conflict of these industries being threatened to shut down and killing the towns way of life, and how the townpeople deal with that. Problem is that like most story beats, it has to be skillfully written or its shit.
This would be far more dramatic if Johnson didn't ruin the following scene.
The only comic that's actually trending on the pirate sites right now is the main book. Aphra is totally uncared for and unread even at a price point of 0 dollars.
>Data file
Ok, that makes more sense. Didnt read that datafile. Like a gauss canon.
But still odd they dont use for frontal discharge but need to hover over their target.
The magnetic clip implies its used in zero gravity. And if you can discharge it with magnetic impulses why not hover far enough for and shoot it hundred of kilometers like a rocket.
And i wish they would have implied this more in the movie since they had enough time while it was stucked.
>all rose can do is crash ships
jesus this shit is lazy
>he got his Age of Rebellion comic
>he's one of the main characters in the main ongoing comic
>Hes the POV character of the secrets of the Jedi book thats coming in November
>He was in last week's snoke issue
>willl probably be in next week's kylo issue and then in the Rise of Kylo ren in December
Luke's going to be a lot of places
Soule did a good job with the Vader series but the sequels are such shit it's hard to care about anything so contingent on them like this series will be.
I think soule will make it better with this
Does anyone have the link to the Snoke comic thread? I missed it.
I'm only interested in the Kylo stuff.
Sounds interesting.
holy shit that was painful to read. What an overhyped Mary Sue.
I cared about Kylo until TLJ made it clear his character was a waste, too.
>star wars now has kkk
