I found out this youtuber I liked made a tv show. I just discovered it now, haven't seen it. Any of you guys have any opinions on this?
Anyone see this? Anyone like it?

Only saw it dubbed, but it wasnt any good.
I really liked it. It is kind of like Archer but the over the top 80s style sold it to me the most.
i have, i think i remember thinking it was alright?
it's just shittier archer though, and certainly not as memorable. it's worth watching one episode tho.
some of it was hilarious
Great visual style, nice waifus, shitty writing. Overall a crap show that looked cool.
that's a shame if true. his youtube channel was pretty good, but he never uploads anything new
youtube.com
I'll check it out at least
shouldve been on adult swim instead of comedy central, attributed to its early death
It has a visually striking art style and some likeable characters but i feel the writing was pretty hit or miss. It gets brought up from time to time and people are quick to shit on it but i think it gets a bad wrap. It was a comedy central show so it didnt last long or leave a strong impact. I would have liked another season but it's not exactly a huge loss.
Its premiere was painfully unfunny and that was enough for most people to write it off.
It had potential, but rode too hard on the Archer playbook. I kinda wanted it to get a second season to see if they could develop it a little further and let it find its own identity, but nope.
Showed it to my cousin. He liked it.
Archer knockoff that wasn’t funny.
I LOVED it!
Characters are so bad the flanderization that happens in the latter half is unironically an improvement. It's a bad unfunny show but I keep watching the better episodes because Pizzaz is the perfect woman.
Seriously her VA is just fantastic
>"It's like Archer"
>Show was actually Metalacolypse with more 80s memes and nothing like Archer
>It was also really good despite that sounding cancerous and Comedy Central smothered it in the crib
Seriously, this is good timing because for whatever reason I've been thinking about this show a lot specifically the Archer comparisons.
Is it really just the fact it's a handsome white guy in a semi-realistic style? Because the shows are nothing alike outside those really superficial similarities.
The humor is similar. Incompetent police force led by a man that is a savant with his job but otherwise appears incompetent to humorous levels like Archer who is a super spy that shouldn't be good at his job because of all of his bullshit.
Dazzle wasn't a savant he was typically just an idiot who thought he was a great cop.
Unlike Archer which is essentially our world but from the perspective of super spies, Moonbeam City was a parody world built around an exaggerated 80s aesthetic. Archer's humor is usually built on clever/snide dialogue between very aware characters, Moonbeam was more absurd scenarios of goofy idiots. Again like Metalacolypse.
There's SOME good jokes, and I really wanted to like it for it's style and theme. Ultimately though, it was kinda dull and 2 overly stupid main characters make the humor too low brow.
I liked it, but I have terrible taste.
The main character is basically Sterling Archer, only even worse.
I like Pizazz though.
It's only ten episodes, so eh.
Good show, but not a great show. If it'd gotten another season or two it might have morphed into something more than an Archer ripoff. Also this supports my theory that everything Will Forte is involved with turns into crap despite how good its starting premise may have been, no matter how small his involvement.
I watched it once by myself and thought it was okay, watched it again a couple years later with my brother and thought it was subpar. Lots of toilet humor and poop jokes kinda ruined it for me. I realize I'm watching a cartoon, but it seemed really immature and completely out of place.
>make a joke
>joke falls flat
>explain joke
The Moonbeam City™ formula
I really enjoyed it. I thought it was a cute and fun show that shouldn’t have been thrown out just because it was an archer rip off. I would have wanted more of it it was funi
A solid half of it is garbage, but there's some gold. The Strike Visualizer Strikes Again is easily the best episode, so if you don't like it by episode 3 you can freely drop it.
>kids Ecstasy
For those who liked it, Pacific Heat is worth checking out too. The pretext is the same, incompetent cops somehow succeeding at their jobs. Also ozzy accents and casual racism.
god that show is garbage, though.
How the hell was moonbeam city so much better?
loved the art design
but wow, so many of the jokes were misses for me.
It was just trying way to hard to be funny and just not getting it right
The writing was a bit flimsy, but I liked it. It had potential, but they cancelled it.
You know that somebody at /aco/ is trying to start a Rule 34 thread on Chrysalis, don't you?
I loved the esthetic, sadly it's getting good only after few episodes.
Pizzaz is best.
I loved it a whole lot
Imagine wasting such a great aesthetic and art style.
>wasting Patrick Nagel's visual style in animation on a shitty, derivative comedy show
