Reminder that the human body has lubricated sliding joints and shock absorbers. Joint lubricant (and the joint itself) is enclosed in a capsule that keeps everything tidy and clean. No blood or gunk gets in, no lube gets out. Fictional robots would reasonably be more serviceable, but they also reasonably would not leak lubricant all over. Especially hair-corroding stuff. And see that casing? That's probably designed for at least IP54. Working fluids shouldn't be exposed to the outside in normal operation.
