You know "Pulling a Star Butterfly" should become a phrase that means genocide on a multiversal scale, like

Star butterfly should mean reverse Ozymandias
>Adrian: Kill millions to save billions
>Star : Kill millions to save dozens

She's cute, but she's evil and also a cuck.

yep

All she did was cause Dies Irae as foreseen.

Nigger

Were never going to get another good cartoon, are we?

Not from America, no.

I want to pull Star Butterfly's panties off

Counterargument: "pulling a svtfoe" should mean "the writers fucked up so badly they made their hero do something at least as bad as what the villain planned to do, and didn't even notice until fans pointed it out. "

I mean words can have more than one meaning, if a used to describe a writer it can be that if to describe a fictional character it can be OP/my definition.

>"Pulling a Star Butterfly"
Isn't that the same thing as giving someone a "Rusty Venture"?

you Jackiefags sure have been trying to keep your trashy character going even after the creator herself buried and lesbianated her.

The series ended, Star ended up with her Mexican Burrito and genocided millions of magical creatures.

It was the best possible ending and if you think otherwise you're just in denial.

get over it bitch.

i want to massage her chest

Lmao someone's still seething about being the butt of cuck jokes

>Not from America, no.

Yup, a bisexual cuckold literally caused the death of thousands of innocent beings.

what chest lmao

kek

Who else would fall under this phrase?

>Star butterfly should mean reverse Ozymandias
More fitting considering she did it for a relationship that isn't going to last forever. The also creator pulled a Doc Manhatten on us with the AMA.

cartoons are not good.

Attached: cera03.jpg (750x563, 55K)

Then why are you on Yea Forums then.

I love shit, I am low IQ

Agreed, cartoons were never good and it's time to cancel Yea Forums

She didn't do it for Marco though, she was actually ready to leave Marco behind to save the monsters.

Star may be a cuck, but so is Marco

its perfect

And it was his birthday.

Birthday cucking can almost never be topped

Keep telling yourself that Marco.

First birthday after 16 years being a kick ass road warrior.

Spinoff of Marco in Heckapoo's dimension adventuring with Brunzetta when?

Attached: 1549445440944.jpg (500x375, 38K)

What do you have against innocent magical creatures, Starcuck?

I'm more angry at Nefcy who if her AMA is to believed did all this on purpose. It's so pants on head retarded that it defies belief, i'd sooner assume the mouse just doesn't take kindly to criticism.

if it happened in some obscure 70s anime you'd be saying it was kino

>if it happened in some obscure 70s anime you'd be saying it was kino
It did happen and it was kino because there was a lead up to it, here Star said fuck it and killed innocents.

Would be cool if it ends like canon if Marco goes back and drop everything after seeing Star for the first time in a long time.

I dunno, that evilness is kinda hot.

Like imagine if this genocidal maniac started to give you some lewd looks, would you deny her? You'd practically have to do whatever she wanted.

Attached: onoroff.png (1000x562, 568K)

The show's name wasn't "Giving everyone on Yea Forums what they want".

But the show gave us unlimited top-tier memes (including the genocide one). It's a great accomplishment on its own.

Yes, with Shore Leave!

Well Tom IS wearing a hoodie Marco gave to Star. And he ripped off the sleeves. That's just extra salt in the wound.

Maybe with the addendum that "Pulling a Star" is genociding millions across the multiverse AND that after the deed you get to keep your love interest as pointed out.

I think missed the actual gravity of the ending because keeping up with this show had killed my last brain cells by then. What did deleting all the magic do? I know it killed Hekapoo right?

Blue Gender

Marco's first reaction to Star showing up was right. He should've just let her walk away.

It killed every single magical creature in existence, and left worlds that depended on magic devoid of their energy source

What are some other examples of creatures it killed? There were still unicorns and shit if I remember the ending correctly. And what worlds depended on magic? (I’m not disagreeing with you, I’m just mad I missed Yea Forums’s reaction to the finale and want to understand).

>mfw star killed buff frog and his babies

Attached: 1512451805479.jpg (1284x980, 389K)

Post Marco and Star cucking each other.

First of all there were all the spell creatures like Spider With a Top Hat
They were fully sentient, and 4th season even had a whole episode dedicated to how they value their own existence and do not wish to die.
Season 4 also established that there were many other magic users across the multiverse, each of whom had their own spell creatures.
There were also Baby and Reynaldo, members of the commission who were not part of the conspiracy.
There was also a minor character called Indexia, who was heavily implied to be an alternate universe equivalent of Glossaryck, with the implication that others like that existed across the multiverse.

As for societies that depended on magic goes, there is Questbuy, which was a store chain that ran entirely on magic, with the implication that there was possibly a whole world out there that ran on magic the same way as we do with electricity. The store itself was closed down before the series finale, but there certainly was a place where it came from.
We also saw brief glimpses throughout the series of world that were heavy on magic.

like this?

Attached: 1fc.jpg (1000x1230, 179K)

Why? If everything goes your way, you won't be here complaining about it. And that's boring.
The show played us like a.. fiddle.
And the kids who watch the show, not all of them know about Yea Forums.

Attached: hqdefault.jpg (480x360, 27K)

Look I'm not saying he's right, but letting Nefcy out of her tardwrangler's sight was clearly a huge mistake.

No I mean like them going out of their way to hurt each other's feelings.

He would have had a happy ending with Janna, and Jackie would had remained hetero because no spic traumatized her into not trusting men again.

As a matter of fact, leaving the ending with no interdimensional cleave would have been better. Star loses something important due to her choice and Marco is free from her toxicity.

Maybe with the addendum that "Pulling a Star" means genociding thousands across the multiverse And that after the ordeal you get to keep your love interest as pointed out (pic rel)

Attached: 1565204813760.png (800x720, 568K)

But why would Yea Forums people's preference be any better?
It's not like they could create shows of their own, or that this one particular show has to be the PERFECT SHOW that answer their expectations 100%.

Attached: YES SIR.jpg (749x375, 33K)

At last until Star gets tired of him. Not even Nefcy could assure their love was forever.

Attached: 7f5fb66add26195764e755d8dad279d2.jpg (736x995, 164K)

You are correct, there is no such thing as a perfect show because everybody's definition of perfection is different. But having a clear and present set-up to a satisfying conclusion is the very cornerstone of storybuilding. Suddenly deciding to go full Treblinka on all magical creatures because "muh subvurdud ekspektaishuns" is not good writing.

Also, Yea Forums has made visual novels and bombed 2 ISIS bases that I know of. Give them a studio and some funding and they will 100% guaranteed create something amazing.

You could say that about ANY couples.
Even dead ones.

Yeah but I want to have sex with her

I finished the show long ago, seen its rights and wrongs.
And I have yet to understand what is the problem to whom is complaining about ending magic.
It is not like they had alternatives:
-Rally kingdoms: When was the last time a neighboring kingdom actually helped? And even if that worked: more casualties.
-Hurl everything to the Sun or actually kills the army: And spend the ending hunted by orphans of said army, whom you killed, to save the race they hate, when you could have... you know, depower them with no harm. That's like: an army of Batmen.
-Face them head on: And get killed anyway because look what one lone soldier did. And No you can't win because that would make them look weak and disappointing for a final boss who's immune to your usual tricks.

Not when said couple has cleaved two worlds together because of their "love"
It's simply irresponsible to break up because one of them is bored, after all that ruckus.

>world gets cleaved because of their love
>I literally don’t know what’s going to happen to their love, but HEY at they like each other now
That’s not very consistent or reassuring.

>Steven x Star
Nah

Nefcy’s way of saying Starco was a mistake.

Meteora's and Mariposa's friendship is the only thing that's going to last after the cleave.
At least we know their bond grows strong almost inmediately in every timeline they are together.

Not really a plot twist if you payed attention. I mean all of season 1 was alluding to Star being a psycho who just kills/maims for fun.

Nefcy even hinted on how "good" she was in episode 1. Now everyone's surprised she's willing to commit genocide.

Attached: Totally not Evil.png (751x750, 732K)

I like to think Steven can comfort Star over her many many mistakes.

Seriously, fuck this show.

This picture is giving me an idea.
Eraserhead with Star vs. characters. Marco can be the fucked up exposed guts baby.

wait...really?

This.

People seem to be blind about Season 1 and 2. She practicaly killed civilians in Echo Creek every episode and there were 0 consequences.

Star has been a psycho since day 1.
The very first episode of the show is her parents sending the bitch away because their kingdom was in peril with Star around.

Star "living plague" butterfly

It's kinda funny how her first day in Mewni with just the wand she almost destroyed the kingdom.

Then when she actually took control of any real power in the kingdom the first thing she does is judge the entire universe and decide to genocide all magical beings.

>Dies Irae was right

Star "mobile holocaust" butterfly

Still feels like the usual "I can write it better".
I wonder what J.K.Rowling would have felt about her book series if Yea Forums went and did the same.
Just put it to rest. Not everything has to go the way everybody likes in storytelling.

Star "if you spark your dead" Butterfly

Star the 'Butterfly Effect'.

If Moon had been a competent mother she would have sent Star to St. Olga like all the other monarchs and monster nobles were sending their daughters.

Heinous would have made a competent princess out of that mess. Damn! She almost cured Ponihead from her stupidity in a couple of days.

Anons what star did was remove a multiversal force, imagine a guy who made the electromagnetic force cease to exist which would in turn destroy all matter that exists in the universe. Now just how callous is someone who can commit an omnicide of that scale? Star did something far worse she removed a multiversal force meaning vigintillions of lifeform were erased from existence. If anything Star should be made immortal then tortured for one googol years, this is a seriously horrific crime.

Star want sex.

Meteora is a supremely fucked up character that no sane author should write.

You're talking about a half monster princess that grew up in oppressive exile for what should be at least four generations, led a full (if nasty) life, lost everything she knew at the hands of a cross dressing teenager, then got turned into a baby after going monster berserk, THEN lived a second puberty in an alternate dimension as an abandoned child (again!) before finally being forced to grow up (for the third time) in the smashed up remains of two very different worlds.

What I'm saying is: This was not a well thought out character.

If you've read enough Marvel and DC, she is quite casual.

I'd say that makes her one of the best characters because, unlike the other three main Butterflies, she's really gone through really dark shit because of magic and, yet, she returns like a phoenix to deal with it all again.

Hope she can find true happiness now.

It's consistent to the rest of the teenage relationships in the show but more to the point it's just Nefcy leaving herself an out in case she does something with Star vs in the future, which she's said she'd like to. This isn't an uncommon practice and I have no idea why people are treating it as confirmation they break up.

Reminder Toffee was right about magic and that alone makes the ending poetic.

As much as I like Toffee and how they set that up, I really don't think he should have been. I was genuinely expecting Star to work out that neither side (gatekeeping magic/destroying magic) was correct and to find a compromise - something that could be argued as a major theme of the show - instead, we got genocide.

She was subject to heavy reconditioning for most of her youth to the point that it became something she did willingly. She probably didn't know the full extent of what she was because she was taken as a baby but even if she did, that shit was repressed to fuck.

>Meanwhile janna just chilling.

Shingeki no Kyojin/Attack on Titan. I haven't read it in like 5 years so I'm wondering why my boy Eren is pulling genocide.

Curious how Isayama and Nefcy are in the polar oposites of the political spectrum (Isayama is a right-wing nationalist) but yet they're so similar

I haven't watched S4 yet.
Not sure if I will.

Is this all just meme?
Because from what I udnerstood Star destroyed magic because there simply was no owher way to stop Mina. Was there?
Could Star simply kill Mina like she did Toffee?

People really want Steven Universe and Star pairing to happen and I can only be thankful for the fact that disney is run by greedy jews and the crossover would never happen.

Fan fiction on the other hand is low grade chink menagerie filled with abused animals that loosely resemble people. These psudo-humans have thrown caution to the wind and exposed the delicate flashpaper of their minds to utter dog shit.

Their toe nails and small pensis are harvested then ground up to be snorted by wrinkly china men in order to fuck their unattractive women.

I still can't believe how bad the ending is. I was super into the cute shit and I was right there screaming my head off in all the threads back in season 2 and 3. Even though my ship won and I saw it as a very cute high point the actual ending of the overall story was shit. It wasn't even first draft tier good. It was an ending i'd expect from a person who had a cursory understanding of the characters and what was happening but didn't actually watch the show.

The ending feels more like a mid season two part episode or at best a season finale cliffhanger.

I'm convinced we're never going to find out the reason reason season 4 choked hard on it's own dick at the last minute. Only way we're going to get a cunt hair's worth of info is if somebody involved with the writing team goes rogue on twitter.

>I'm convinced we're never going to find out the reason reason season 4 choked hard on it's own dick at the last minute
user, we do and its name is Daron Nefcy.

>The ending feels more like a mid season two part episode or at best a season finale cliffhanger.

-Marco's cheekmarks were left unexplained and no one in the show even realized he had ones
-No pay off to Monster Arm foreshadowing FROM S1
-Evil Marco foreshadowed in the Toffee episodes for nothing.
-No actual battle with Mina
-Marco got stabbed through the gut by a fucking horse and they do literally nothing with it. He just zips up and he's all better.
-The spell with no name subplot goes literally nowhere and just eats up an episode.
>Glossy saying magic was in "Meteora's good hands" and then magic is just fucking ded.

So many plot threads that go absolutely nowhere it's a mess. Season 4 was definitely written with a season 5 in mind.

>So many plot threads that go absolutely nowhere it's a mess. Season 4 was definitely written with a season 5 in mind.
All of this happened because they got a fourth season.

Were they just never planning to do anything with the shit in season 3 then. Just do a ton of foreshadowing and then end with battle for Mewni? That's even dumber to me somehow.

The show's writers were mad horny for subplots and for abusing Chekhov's gun. If there was a functional penis in that whole building it would have been erect but then that person would have been immediately fired and his reason for firing leaked to vice.

>Were they just never planning to do anything with the shit in season 3 then. Just do a ton of foreshadowing and then end with battle for Mewni?
No, after BoM was the third season and it was supposed to end there but the Mouse gave Nefcy an extra season which obviously threw a wrench the plan Nefcy had set up. Either way, she still fumbled because she couldn't adapt the show to the four-season plan.

It's strongly believed that Eren wants to unleash the titans in the wall and annihilate the entire world (except for the world WITHIN the walls). The entire world wants to basically BTFO or enslave Erens people (Eldians)
Basically he wants to kill billions of innocents to save millions.
Every single character in the story is against him at the moment.

Attached: 1552880426903.png (1055x711, 748K)

A vindictive part of me is kind of happy they fucked that up because i'm sick of stories that end with fuckloads of questions and scarce answers and the author's response to that is "Well the audiences get to interpret what happens."

Well, with the shit you set up apparently this is what happens and it sucks ass. So maybe don't do that anymore? Or at least be prepared to answer the questions that you yourself posed and tie up plot threads that you wasted time setting up?

They where never planing to get to season 4 so when they did they had to make some stuff up.

>A vindictive part of me is kind of happy they fucked that up because i'm sick of stories that end with fuckloads of questions and scarce answers and the author's response to that is "Well the audiences get to interpret what happens."
Nefcy was digging her hole when she wrote the first book to Star, you could tell she took influence from GRRM and Game of Thrones with all that lore.

>So, I feel very lucky I got to do 4 on Star. When our 4th season got approved I knew that would most likely be the end, just because of the rarity of having a 4th season. So, I wrote an ending. I was really happy with the ending. I know a lot of fans thought it felt rushed, but I think that just means you want more. I would love to do more with Star someday. Obviously, that decision is not one I can just make. But if the powers that be wanted to make more Star I would love to work with them again

>Most likely be the end.

Had to get a screenshot of this one. Also, can I just say how fucking awful the Star Vs. Reddit page is? It's just redditors sucking off Moringmark and shitty Starco memes.

Attached: Nefcy on the ending.png (577x224, 52K)

Reddit's is a love hate thing because the site has some interesting communities. I'm not sure I can blame reddit for it's fandom subreddit's being utter dog shit, fandoms are always dog shit. What I can blame reddit for is their offensively stinky UI redesign. Also my presumption is that if we ever get more Star Vs we'll just find out that magic isn't really dead and Meteora will get stuck with the job of dealing with it.

That being said I think that subreddit was better when the show was actually going on and drawfags would show up a little more often. The remnants on that subreddit today are just people that don't understand that when the lights come on it's time to leave the bar.

Also Moringmark does his shit for free and it's cute and complaining about free content is dumb so just ignore the people who gush constantly about him and just enjoy his work if that's your thing.

>Glossy saying magic was in "Meteora's good hands" and then magic is just fucking ded.
Glossy is deliberately obtuse all the time. He knows what's going to happen (as per By the Book, Book Be Gone) so this is his roundabout way of saying "It's in good hands (Stars) because it's gonna be destroyed like I want/planned it" - Meteora's just who he's speaking to. It was a red herring for us, the viewers and also a way out if they ever decide to bring magic back..
Every other point stands, though.

I never really watched SVTFOE. Can someone explain to me what she exactly did?

I really don't think we need another season. The quality decline headed by Nefcy was too much to bear. Her making another one would just tip the scale of bad to good seasons.

Why the fuck was Marco horning after a lesbian anyway? Did he think he could dick her straight?

>Why the fuck was Marco horning after a lesbian anyway? Jackie wasn't a lesbian until season 4 decided she had to be a lesbian.

She's bi tho?

>She's bi tho?
I thought she was full dyke now, where did they say she was bi?

Where did they say she was gay? It's far easier to believe she realized she was bi than the fact she dated Marco but never realized it beforehand.

The definition of wasted potential

>Where did they say she was gay?
Could've sworn there was a facebook post by one of the writers who worked on the episode.

I hate it. That shit went fucking nowhere.

Should've axed the nigga along with Eclipsa.

She destroyed all magic and magical beings, except the puppies for some reason.

I hate that fucking speedo.

Pasties, user. Lets not give the janitor the wrong idea here.

Pretty sure his plan is going to fail, Those Titans are facing inward to the wall.

>except the puppies
That's a fucking cope out. If all magical being are gone then so are the puppies and all of Star's sapient spells, even Narwhal Blast's baby and wife.
If the puppies survive somehow then why couldn't every magical being as well?

Did Nefcy actually said she spared the puppies?

You know why Between Friends is one of the only good things to come out of Star Vs.?
The real Star in the TV series is a self absorbed feminist wannabe. Area's Star actually cares about Marco beyond a physical attraction like Star has for Marco's abs. TV Star has no substance, just like her creator Daron Nefcy.

As St. John of the Cross once said,
>"Where there is no love, put love, and you will draw out love."

The very epitome of Starco's image as a cute and wholesome ship is no better personified than in Area's comic, creating an interpretation of the character that trumps canon and creates something beautiful where canon has failed to.

>Did Nefcy actually said she spared the puppies?
Even the fucking redditors of all people were catching on to her bullshit.

Hittler putted a star butterfly before putting star butterflies was trending.

>w*man in charge of internal consistency and continuity

Bravo Nefcy

BASED. Starcocucks, find salvation in the name of Christ before it's too late.

Would this show have been better if it was an all-male team heading it?

Tom assumed something like that would happen due to the Blood Moon's curse. I question why he didn't bring it to their attention sooner. But maybe he figured he wouldn't be able to get them to use the Severing Stone unless they came to the realization that they were under the Blood Moon's influence themselves? Meh.

I think she knew she fucked it here but she can't say yes the puppies are dead, just like they couldn't say Janna did shit to Marco without his consent.
I don't know, I enjoyed the hugs.

>As much as I like Toffee and how they set that up, I really don't think he should have been. I was genuinely expecting Star to work out that neither side (gatekeeping magic/destroying magic) was correct and to find a compromise - something that could be argued as a major theme of the show - instead, we got genocide.
I disagree, stories where the hero doesn't just get to force a win and/or has to deal with a villain who has superior philosphical motives are the best kind of stories. And since Disney is the type of network where the heroes have to win (due to their marketing to children), I'd actually say that the execution for that part of the story was near flawless and actually delivers a complex moral that is going to blow the minds of current children who deicde to rewatch the show in a couple of years when they're older.

It might have made it sexier.

Attached: maxresdefault.jpg (1280x720, 80K)

>I don't know, I enjoyed the hugs.
Fuck hugs, I need quality and I'm not getting that from Nefcy.

>just like they couldn't say Janna did shit to Marco without his consent.
Based Adam giving /ourgirl/ want she wanted.

No, fuck you.

>No, fuck you.
You killed your own show Nefcy.

She had seen spells that stop time, open up portals to empty voids, levitate people into the sky, destroy mountains, and her own mother create an army of super soldiers that turned against her and were now threatening to kill all of Star's monster buddies. She came to the realization that magic was too dangerous. Half the spells in her spell book would be terrifying in the wrong hands, and often times dangerous even in the right hands.
Star decided that magic had done enough damage and she would remove magic from the universe by destroying the realm of magic; She chose this despite believing that without magic portals, she and Marco would be separated forever.
Her lack of care about what would happen to the magical constructs, which appear to have full sentience, is why Yea Forums says she committed genocide. Star has been seen both treating spells as friends, and also with complete indifference; the writing is inconsistent, and even went out of the way to show us the "lives" of these magic spells within their own universe as they go about their own business until they are needed to be summoned. Also the decision to have Star and Marco's love merge together Earth and Mewni was largely considered a bad idea as well. There were heavy handed "racism is bad" themes involving Mewmans treatment of monsters, and merging these worlds only brings monsters to an even less welcoming place.
So, in summary, Star decided that magic was too dangerous and needed to be destroyed along with countless magical beings that would be killed in the process. Then through her own desire to be with Marco, fucked over countless humans and monsters by merging their worlds together.

I don't know as I'd call it a "superior philosophical motive". It definitely has merit but one of the main issues I had with destroying magic is that they undermined all the good it does by leaning too heavily on "but people are dumbasses and abuse it": interdimensional travel alone was worth its weight in gold, to say nothing of curing diseases, fixing accidents, ect.

Holy fuck.

This. A cuck for cuck.

Bruh, what instead of sheltered college kids from Cali, they had Bosnians who lived through the Bosnian War write the monster/human plot.

The series should have ended with Marco magically becoming a girl, and then proceeding to become a more competent ruler than Star or Moon. Because that’s hot.

I dislike Steven as a protagonist but even he doesn’t deserve being shipped with Star.

Star's spells are all essentially sapient constructs she can spontaneously bring to life through her wand's power and imagination, all of which have lives independent of Star and live inside of the wand, which in several episodes is shown to be similar to an apartment complex where all for the spells live until they're summoned by Star, after which they're go back into the wand.

The spells are shown to have their own internal and interpersonal conflicts, shunning a spell for being "dark magic" and another for being seemingly useless but coming to terms and accepting them in the end. They're even shown to form relationships, fall in love with each other and even have babies with each other. A spell, Narwhal Blast, has a wife who somehoe gives birth to a baby Narwhal blast.

The ending implies they're all, dead. Murdered by Star. The only magical creation fo Star that is outright stated by Nefcy to be not dead are some Laser Puppies who she summoed out of thin air and lived outside the wand.

The merging of the worlds also, literally shows the humans of Echo Creek being terrorized by non-sapient monsters of Mewni, one person being carried of by a giant spider while Marco and Star look at each other starry-eyed.

>The merging of the worlds also, literally shows the humans of Echo Creek being terrorized by non-sapient monsters of Mewni, one person being carried of by a giant spider while Marco and Star look at each other starry-eyed.
You guys know what this means right?

Attached: Kill em all.gif (467x250, 2.21M)

She literally brought about revelations/End of Days for everyone. All just so she could have Marco. Just as Dies Irae said.

>Tearful [will be] that day,
on which from the glowing embers will arise the guilty man who is to be judged.
Then spare him, O God.

What a cunt lmao.
>laser puppies survive
Nefcy is just as much a cunt as star. They both deserve cucking.

Attached: 1568595116972.jpg (326x326, 16K)

Therein lies the beauty of the lesson though. We can't always have nice things in many areas because people are indeed dumbasses with a propensity to abuse things, be it a romantic relationship, large scale socioeconomic relations, or even some ultimate multidimensional magical power. It hurts to step back and think about things this way, but sometimes there are no chances for actual compromises. Sometimes you have to make sacrifices on some goals in order to reach other goals, sometimes some soceital goals will never actually be reached because our society just isn't the greatest, sometimes you find out some goals aren't in line with what might be best for society after seeing things from a different perspective, sometimes some things that might have a high potential for good will be doomed to be used as weapons because people are the way they are.

>Then through her own desire to be with Marco, fucked over countless humans and monsters by merging their worlds together.
We don't know that's the cause of the merge.

A show with a similar premise (but with less cucking and teenage romantic triangles and more monster blood and guts), Fangbone!, has a similar ending, where the fantasy world and Earth get merged into one, but this is specifically shown to be a bad thing and is left as a cliffhanger for the next season.

Which the show never got. Because it was cancelled.

I watched an episode once while I was scrolling through the channels and the characters designs were pretty good.

You guys are forgetting that the magic real was already fucked even before Star went back to Mewni and that Star's friends were deadly wounded after their fight with the warrior.

Hadn't she fixed the Magic Realm before as with Toffee's corruption slime shit?

Also, why couldn't star make knights of her own?
If magic was so dangerous she'd have been able to use it to blow up Mina or whatever. Don't particularily remember the ending tho.

The solarian warriors were already too dangerous of a spell to fall into the wrong hands... which it did. Any spell capable of defeating them (the spell with no name) would by definition be too dangerous it it were to fall into the wrong hands. Though I think Star pretty much nixed the idea of even fighting the solarian warriors because so much of Mewni would be destroyed in the process, it wouldn't be worth it.

I truly believe magic was worth both all the potential and real risks it carried and that society should account for, but not be beholden to, its worst members. That sounds idealistic and simplifies a lot of shit but given something with such utility as magic I think risking destruction for the benefits is the right answer.
I still reckon there could have been compromise, though - we see lesser magical artifacts like River's staff which presumably can't do much more than fire lightning bolts. Doesn't have to be tied to the the all-powerful wand.

Hekapoo could have opened a portal under them to a lavaworld, the Neverzone, anywhere. They'd have to deal with Helicopter-hair but that'd be the majority of them at least temporarily out of the way, if not outright.

Well.. I mean, it seemed pretty obvious that their cheeks were glowing when they said "we belong together," so with whatever last bit of magic was left in the universe they created the portal that would join their worlds together.
I mean, that's why the final episode is called 'Cleaved.'
Something to note, no one ever talks about, is that the portal they made was in the realm of magic, and indeed it was a portal to both Earth and Mewni... As in it didn't simply merge the two worlds, but brought both worlds to the realm of magic. Notice Earthni's sky is the same as the realm of magic.

There's just too many ways they might've been defeated if they had bother to think them through.

One could say "BUT THERE'S NO TIME", but didn't Star literally had a Spell to STOP TIME? And Hekapoo a dimension with a immense time dilation difference?

Can a stop time affect the solarian warriors? The power of the wand couldn't stop them.

Star's decision to destroy magic was that it keeps causing problems, and quote "magic's the worst and the people who use it are idiots."

youtube.com/watch?v=-uY6eqqShDQ

Basically, it didn't matter if there were other ways to defeat Mina, Star wanted to get rid of magic because of how dangerous it was.

Time is shown to be controlled by Father Time independently of Star's Wand. Whenever Father Time stops pinning in his wheel time stops.

Dunno remember exactly what makes the wand Stop Time even without Father Time's intervention, but Star and Marco are shown to be affected by him stopping to spin his wheel.

Now that I think about it, what's the deal with dark magic?

Duh, of course magic is dangerous in the wrong hands, but magic was also the only thing that kept mewmans safe from non-magical threats like monsters in the first place.

Now the Earth government is gonna come guns blazing and put all of the mewmans and monsters in concentration camps.

It literally knocks him off his wheel, that's how it stops time. Not too sure why it doesn't affect Star & Marco when it does if he stops it himself but, y'know, it's magic.

This is something I wish they expanded on further. It's different and dangerous because ???

It makes your hands black.

And people thought Star Vs was a woke show.

The book of spells details events such as Skywynne Butterfly's anti-gravity spell that sent 16 of mewmans into space. Magic itself and the experiments that the former queens performed with it was arguable more dangerous to Mewmans than the monsters. Isn't it strange that society never advanced for Mewmans, even in hundreds of years... Magic was holding them back from developing technology that would have helped the lives of the peasants. Instead only the royal family really benefited from the existence of magic.
Ideally, magic should have just been nerfed, but that's not the direction the writers took things.

Sounds like it's more of a leadership problem than it is magic. You would've thought the college kids would have had the magic shared and governed by all the classes, but no IT ALL HAD TO GO.

>Hey, rather than sharing the power with the people why don't we get rid of social castes and share it all equally.
>Nah, just get rid of all power. Let anarchy rule in the end.

It doesn't even serve as a gun analogy. The how is essentially asking for absolute anarchy in the name of peace.

>asking for absolute anarchy in the name of peace.
Earth-ni in the year of our Lord 2019.

>Now the Earth government is gonna come guns blazing and put all of the mewmans and monsters in concentration camps.
Star and family are definitely going to The Hague for a trail.

nobody gives a fuck on roiland.

he's dead now right? eclipsa killed her own husband? that ending was so forgettable

Well, at least Rhombulus got to confess his secret crush for Queen Moon.

You know? Before being murdered by her and her daughter, never knowing why he was starting to disappear. Alone. Scared and confused.

All so star can fuck marco.
Pathetic.

Nah, he survives. For some reason monsters who's biology depends on magic don't die.

What's worse Princess Pony Head, the literal magical flying decapitated pony head, DOES
NOT
DIE
for some reason.

Attached: S4E9_Pony_Head_beginning_her_inaugural_show.png (1920x1080, 812K)

>All so star can fuck marco.
And the worst part is that we'll never know if she actually gets that far.

>solaria
It doesn't even matter because they didn't even need to use magic to stop Mina.

Solaria was right there at the end to scowl at her, but for some reason no one had thr thought of asking Solaria to talk Mina out of her insane beliefs.

Attached: tumblr_prr0ahaYcb1qzjftxo7_500.png (500x280, 124K)

excuse me?
first of all every magical being should have just powered down forever and not have died, like a person who constantly needs coffee to function.

second, all monsters whose biology depends on magic should have just been thanos'd.

third, in no universe does ponyhead EVER deserve to live

Mina is just so gone to be talked to.
that shitty monster that shot an arrow to Mina makes me think that Mina was right.

But they didn't even try. If Mina would've listened to anyone it'd have been Solaria.

I think Mina is loyal to Solaria's ideals not to Solaria herself, also, that would just have stopped Mina but not the rest of the warriors.

Marco is the one responsible of St. Olga going down because he thinks princesses should do whatever they want no matter how selfish or nasty towards their own kingdom.

Heinous/Meteora was unironicaly doing a great job at her school, making those in power respect the rules and protocole. No wonder she maintain her high status for centuries.

Average people just say "Thanos snap" because that is something people actually watched.

In terms of the hero of a story doing immoral things that aren't ever really addressed it is simply known as "Moral Dissonance".

I get Nefcy's point about individual freedom and actually agree but freedom come with personal responsability. Otherwise it's not a real freedom but just hedonism.

Now that the dust has settled, did Star really grow all that much as a person?

If Star vs. just ended with its first season finale, how differently would it be remembered?

That's the point.
Princesses proved Heinous/Meteora was right the moment all they did with that freedom was party hard all day. Ponihead was a special pain in the ass.

I get the lesson when Meteora is the example, because she was literaly stripped from her true self as a child and even forced to hate/fear it through constant psychological and physical torture for years... but we are talking about troublesome future leaders who don't care about their own kingdoms and simply rejoyce in the power they haven't even earned. A couple of weeks being reform wouldn't hurt.

Man, I miss speculating who Spades could be back in late 2015/early 2016

Nope she was always evil/psycho, she just played dumb in season 1/2 and after that it “felt” like she grew but still all just an act.

Where can I find more?

Surprisingly, the fandom saw the plot-twist coming (her being Eclipsa's daughter) but the reveal was pretty well done and her back-story ended up being more fucked up than anyone could imagine.

It's a pity they wasted so many episodes in the Star-Marco-Tom-Kelly love square, because they were building quite the neat tragic villain, but had to rush it up in the end because there were no episodes left in Season 3.

Attached: b7c45c1ad82a1220dca6ea40ee3ebcca.jpg (480x494, 53K)

Probably pretty fondly, but with a smaller cult fanbase. It'd be a shame though, S2 had some fantastic fucking episodes and we'd miss out on stuff like Toffee's return and Ludo's full arc.

I mean, lets not gloss over the fact that she was using the school as a cover to suck the life force from children in order to prolong her own life.

The princesses returned to some semblance of order in Skooled!, they even had exams and shit. I mean, it was about brunch, but still... At least they're trying. They'll do fine.

Not like it really matters since the entire multiverse got smashed.

>Wow you're right Steven, turns out spic dick aren't worth committing mass genocide for

Source?

Hawkmoth is going to pull off a Star Butterfly

Other way around. Blood Moon magic made Jackie a lesbian. Starco is so shit it literally needed a Deus Ex Machina to set it in motion.

Because this is a board of patricians. There are shows that cater to people's preferences here and theyre perfect.

Solaria
>Genocided monsters
Moon
>Genocided lizards
Star
>Genocided magical beings (successfully), and sequentially caused the death of million earthling now exposed to feral monster

Early Star was an irresponsible brat who wanted to have fun and not be queen. After a near death experience she feels like she has a duty to her kingdom and makes monster acceptance her personal project.
That goes out the window when she becomes more involved with boy trouble than that stuff. Eventually she abandons her people and destroys the magic that she was entrusted with to help others.

A small prize for keeping the kingdoms under good rulers.
The heirs of previous students kept on being sent there, so they all secretely agree it wasn't a big deal.

Toffee was right. Death to mewzungus

It did no harm, just made them dull temporarily.

Toffee wanted to destroy magic, it was his father (Seth) who thought mewmans were the problem of everything bad that had ever happened to his dimension (which is, in fact, true) and that should be anihilated.

That's the main reason Globgor and Seth became rivals, one wanted to fuck them and the other to cut their heads off.

I'm actualy writing the same one next year for the lady.
I find it somewhat adorable.

What other cartoon shows end with the world being worse off than it began?

Does that mean Jackie will be back to men? Maybe Jackie is still a little confused after all the lesbian sex but with time she can see it as a phase

She was made a lesbian in the first place randomly to force a quota. Let's call it a phase.

Prettying much the AMA in a nutshell. Redditors are partly to blame for wasting time asking stupid questions.

She learned that speciesism is wrong and it only took her 1 and a half seasons to figure it out.
So the rest of the show they had to figure out what to give her and all they could come up with was "UUUUUUH MAGIC IS WRONG TOO".

Why is Yea Forums so obsessed with a show they know is so bad?

It's not even enjoyably bad.

I just... really fucking hate Star Vs. the Forces of Evil? I feel like I got meme'd into thinking it'd be good.
Look, I've watched Sugar's work. Steven Universe is often lumped into "the s 0 y trilogy" with this show and I honestly find that unfair and insulting to Sugar.
To call Star Vs. the Forces of Evil "farcical" would be to undercut the sheer magnitude of bullshit it employs. Plot threads that arise only to contrive one another. Hundreds of pages of nigh-endless, retconning lore that establish a lot of important, but ultimately pointless worldbuilding. All to justify the most interesting character spending most of his screentime lying in wait only to job to a Super Saiyan butterfly.

I mean, not to call /ourgirl/ Daron Nefcy a hack or anything, but her magnum opus just feels needlessly cryptic and tone-deaf. Don't get meme'd into watching it, it's Gravity Falls for people who hate fun.

The ones at fault here are the writers for undeservingly giving us such a "Fuck You" ending.

Saint Olga's

What if Star Vs., but everyone was Muppets except for one character?

Have you picked a dead person?
It taste the same

I think you mean kill dozens to save millions.

Yea Forums is a barren wasteland so people jump onto bandwagons and memes first chance they get. This is one of them, with people pushing the meme that she genocided millions when in fact she just poofed like a hundred "people" (actually magic constructs) to save the world. Any response telling you otherwise is hyperbole for the sake of perpetuating this forced meme.
And before you ask most of it was started by waifufags (see Jannafags) salty their waifu lost.

>to save the world.
Lmao

>actually magic constructs
Those magic constructs had families and lives, Starfag.

She saved a couple of creatures by destroying magic altogether, the thing is that billions depended on magic for their existence because they were either magical creatures themselves or because magic was necessary for their daily survival, all of this is the logical implications of her choices.

Star caused generations of strife and social unrest through forced integration.

Does the human character get a muppet harem at the end?

Did ANY of the show runners acknowledge the whole “genocide of magical creatures” aspect of the ending?

>create robot
>give it AI personality
>it builds "families", has "children" and has it's own life
>except they depent on me to both exist and survive
>decide to end robots for reasons that benefit me and my race more
>REEEE YOU GENOCIDAL MANIAC!
No. Spells aren't people and were never regarded as such, them being presented as "people" was a joke relative to hiw they're basically slaves and meat shields and you should have gotten that if you aren't a child. In fact even children don't complain about this, only you manchildren and salty waifufags.
As for the comission, they both had it coming and at least 2 of them plus Glossaryck knew it was happening and let it happen. You have no arguments besides memes, now please go back to your daily shitposting.

Wow, you might actually want to get someone to check your brain with the level of casual skizo your spewing user.

>billions
>demons are fine
>ponyheads are fine
>creatures like unicorns are fine
>monsters are fine
>mewmans are fine
>other beings from other dimensions are fine
>forgetting most of the Star vs. Universe never even had access to magic or depended on it to live
So you people really never even watched the show and took headcannon backed by nothing seriously. You could make a cult out of this, no joke.

A newfag fresh from /pol/, how surprising. At least read the sticky and come back when you have an argument.

Oh yeah, I forgot about the implication everything was fine because the demon girl said:
>"You want to kill us all along all magic, lol ok, I had a good ride, life was fun while it lasted, guess this just happens :D"

Just the fact Hekapoo is dead makes the ending bullshit.

Just don’t kill your parents and skin your pet alive user.

This. Everyone being absolutely ok with Star's insane plan and not putting any questions or holds to it is absolutely insane.
Literally no ones tell the spoiled magical princess no.

>not one argument
Classic. Just remember that ironic shitposting is still shitposting.

>it’s shitposting when it’s true
Sad

Did Daron ever respond to how much everyone hated the finale?

This is a better definition

I only watched it for the Marco/Janna interactions.

Yeah, she chalked up the dissapoinment as us, the viewer, wanting more of the show. She also said that her and the team didn't take the criticism well.

>genocide
Can someone please explain this? Like 5 people died.

She's right I didn't want to main character to kill millions of sentient beings

The magic comission members, the magic unicorn race and the thousands of spells plus whatever other race needed magic to survive.

Same, only parts in S-3/4 that reminded me of the first two seasons.

>unicorn race
Dude they show the unicorn heads are fine onscreen. I know the 4th season kinda sucked, but did you actually watch it?

Not the Ponyhead.

The actual Unicorns.

Ok, but there's only like a dozen of those, and the corruption had gotten them all before Star pulled the plug anyway.

Attached: tom.png (1707x959, 411K)

Marco/Janna interactions were pretty much the only character interactions that felt “real” to me. Star was always too out there for her relationship with Marco to feel that important to her.

>According to the English biographer Humphrey Carpenter, she had no interest in his love of books and languages, just as he wasn’t much into her love of piano-playing, but that didn’t prevent them from smuggling food out of the kitchen and making secret feasts in Edith’s room. Their everyday adventures included visiting tea shops and throwing sugar-cubes into the hats of passers-by. Carpenter described their relationship as one that was meant to flourish, since they were both orphans who needed affection and kindness and they realized that they were capable of giving that to one another. In the summer of 1909, they fell in love.

Forgot the part where she killed the guy who made sure the multiverse didn't implode.

The corruption was cleansed before.

Same, Star/Marco used to feel so natural to me back in season 1/2 because it was a slowburn type of relationship. Then Season 3 happened.

They vehemently ignore any questions concerning the matter

Daron Nefcy started out life as just a toilet, her father was a grill and her mother was a Beavis from Beavis and Butthead after being turned female due to an indecent with a 19th dimension alien over a bottle of cheese-water. As time pasted Daron grew from a toilet to a calculator to a guy to a hermaphrodite and finally into a 10 year old girl. She was very shy and loved animals, at least until a bunny rabbit robbed her for her sandwich and traumatized her, but until then animals were her only friends.

When she turned 16 she decided to stop being such an introvert and boldy went out into the world with a napkin in her shoe and love in her liver, and then a huge frozen ball of poo poo was dropped from a plane crushed her and then she died. She got better though, and woke up in her bed wondering if this was the afterlife, or it was a dream, or something else, but then she stopped caring and boldly went back out into the world with caution in her liver rather than love.

She made her way to the record store after being handed a razor given to her by a very stoned Greg Graffin and she picked up Death's album Scream Bloody Gore.

She took the record back home and listened to it and the album inspired her to take up a career in art! Going back out into the world, she bought a pencil, got to drawing like there was no tomorrow.

That is the true story of everyone's favorite cartoonist, Daron Nefcy.

>Which the show never got. Because it was cancelled.
Happens all the times with Canadian cartoons, even the few good ones.
Alto somehow Sidekick god three seasons, and Supernoobs two seasons
(not complaining, as far as Canadian cartoons go, they were among the least shit)

>It's true even though I have nothing to back it up
Sure.

Whether Raven or Hekapoo makes it, both magic users will fall sooner or later by Star Butterfly.

Magic can't win for Ms Yea Forums.

>I have nothing to back it up
We had an episode about Tophat and pals.

Seriously, if anyone wants to see what Star vs the Forces of Evil would have been like if it weren't complete garbage, just check Fangbone! or Penn Zero: Part Time Hero
Both shows that deserved better than what they got (at least Penn Zero got a proper finale)

Attached: pennzerofangbone.jpg (542x715, 162K)

It's a good thing OP means faggot. I'd be completely lost without clearly defined terms

Get area to create a slowburn, gentle lovemaking Doujin, and then come back to talk to us.

Thing is if those shows had a female lead they'd probably have had 2 more seasons.

>No nefcy means no bias toward rearing ponyhead
>Ponyhead dies at the finale since she's magical too
Yeah, that would very much be better

post more star art

And we also had an episode about Glossaryck knowing what was going to happen while doing nothing, and Heckapoo letting it happen. And one about how Omni would have freaked out if it wasn't supposed to happen.

That's cute star! keep them I still have them on and I'm in college

Attached: fec.jpg (289x292, 14K)

Wait, how did the showrunners react when they realized what they did?

Marco and Star early on felt natural to me. Marco putting up with Star even though she was an annoying cunt was justified by the episode where he was used to hosting foreign exchange students, Marco tolerating his shitty friends, and obviously Star being a cute girl

We must secure a home and future for monster children

No genocide occurred that's why there can never be an official acknowledgement. It's an urban myth perpetuated by a small minority of modern youth trying to garnish hits by trolling the fanbase. Just look at the questions they pose, it's pure cancer.. or as the teenagers on this board like to use, "cringe".

So WHERE is the MUSIC for these lyrics? They're so good there has to be song too.

please stop

Top kek

Why did the MHC hate monsters? Why did Glossaryck help massacre monsters for centuries? If magic was freely flowing, why did only Mewmans get magic and not the natives who must have been there for millions of years?

He's white Smooth sailing from their

mewmans were generally stupid and docile, it gave them less things to worry about. monsters were more intelligent, so harder to manipulate and keep from fighting back so they didn't trust them.
glossaryk doesn't give a shit about life, death, or morality. he didn't even care about his job as guardian of magic, he just did it out of duty.
he chose a random mewman girl to be the guardian of magic because she was there, it was convenient, and the whole thing is apparently a time loop so its debatable if he even had any choice on such things but however it went, you need to start with the wand before you can learn to access magic without it

nice

When it comes to brains, how is Marco?

Season 1/2: Average intelligence
Season 3/4: Retarded

Lmao

Which is odd since according to the pilot episode he's supposed to be the smartest kid in his grade.

ONE NOTHING WRONG WITH ME

Bokurano is Pulling a Star Butterfly: The Anime

>Anime
That automatically makes it worse

Inconsistency, it’s a very bad thing to have when directing a show.

It's alright, it's a good image.

There's a ballad?

Yeah, I mean, imagine if Star went on a genocidal murder spree because she's a horny teenager.

Oh, right.

How would the show be different if Marco kept his season 1 personality/brains?

He would've seen Star for the psychopath she is and would've sided with Toffee.

He would’ve realized Star went too far in killing magic and split, which would speed up the postgame with Janna considerably.

>side with the guy who kidnaped you
I think Marco wasn't as smart as we thought.

what happened?

Star’s actions caused the mass annihilation and or crippling of the magic beings who inhibited “her” world.

Real answer? Like normal until post BoM, when he goes on his date with Jackie but it ends with them throwing the cape into a beach bonfire at sunset. And that's how the show ends.

And Janna will always be a man.

Attached: careful-not-to-fall-for-it-bait.png (500x609, 51K)

Do you think Star's influence caused Marco to be dumber?

Why would they fight at all in the first place? Early Mewmans had no memory of where they were from and werent coming in massive amounts with the intention of displacing the natives. Why would Mewmans use magic to steal land when its magic and they could just poof up anything?

He was already dumb. The football game was episode 2 and he was as retarded as Star.

No, Ferguson should have actually listened to Marco and taken all the safety precautions he set up

>season 1 and 2 she was merely pretending to be retarded
>season 3 and 4 she actually was retarded

>>season 1 and 2 she was merely pretending to be retarded
Didn't the book reveal that she was actually pretending to be retarded the whole time on Earth?

The real downfall of the show is the crew falling in love with characters and letting that affect the story. Obviously there's Eclipsa's whitewashing, but the worst is Tom.
It seems obvious that originally Tom was just manipulating Star to get back with him since Club Snubbed and Demonicism, but the writers liked Tom so they just retconned everything.
They even tried to make you feel sympathy for Tom's failed attempt at hypnotizing Star into loving him by adding some bullshit about him building a cart from scratch that makes no fucking sense. Come on, even if Tom was pure in his intentions and really loved Star, why would he build a magical chariot by hand instead of seeking the greatest craftsman?

Yup. She just acted clueless so Marco would give her a lot of attention by helping her,

And just like that, the magic of Season 1 is also dead. Thanks, Nefcy.

No. The next line reveals she doesn't really get it, but nobody posts that.

Attached: 1532436121169.png (1280x1397, 2.38M)

Yeah, and read the rest of it where she says in so many words that she fakes or exaggerates a lack of understanding to act cute and for Marco to loosen up.

I didn't know this existed, can you post more?

It was the Blood Moon Curse

I think he was always dumb.

>Obviously there's Eclipsa's whitewashing
Eclipsa was just never that bad of a person. It's possible to be good but have a skewed sense of morality, shown by how she's helpful and kind but has no problems with wandering through your mind. She does as she pleases without limits, which is what got her demonised as SCARY DARK MAGIC LOVES MONSTERS MUST BE A FUCKING HORROR, but that's the point - she was unfairly demonised. Her worst traits are that she's self-serving and doesn't consider the consequences of her actions, not that she'll eat your children.

The Star vs. community is the only reason I ever even bothered going to Reddit. Haven't gone there since the end of Season 3 tho. So I winder how it turned out over there.

>So I winder how it turned out over there.
It's shit.

I get that, but her being self-serving was never a serious issue. Her being demonized seemed to have come from somewhere other than just Mewman peasants being retarded about monster fucking, for example Eclipsa carelessly wiping people's minds could have been foreshadowing her regularly using these spells against her subjects, but in the end it was nothing.
Also what was the point of that scene in Total Eclipsa the Moon where Moon was knocked out for a while? It seemed like Eclipsa did something in that time, but she didnt.

>I get that I'm not gonna understand things right away, so I just roll with it. It's kinda cute when I don't necessarily understand things, so with Marco, I let it all hang out.
>I let it all hang out.
Star doesn't pretend to NOT be retarded around Marco.

>manage to create sentient AIs
>decide to delete them all one day because it's slightly convenient to (You)
user, have you seen how people reacted to the removal of those twitter AIs because some people got pissed? If you pulled the plug on multiple sentient beings, alive or not, you'd have to spend the rest of your life ready to deal with potential assassins.

Thanks.

>I killed Mewni for this...

I think the betrayal of King Shastacan alongside Mewmans being at war for so long (especially considering the last queen was Solaria, the most monster-hating of them all), combined with both her propensity for dark magic and the fact that Globgor later ate Shastacan would be enough to do it.

>It seemed like Eclipsa did something in that time, but she didnt.
That one I'll agree with you on. It was a red herring but they overplayed it as the biggest, juiciest red herring there was.

Yeah, I did not know either, that this is about an animation not a comic strip. Just came here for Elliot. I got the lyrics saved before they got removed.

What? The next line which only has her confused about people pushing the button multiple times? It's a legitimate question, though.
This proves to me she knew way more about Earth than what Season 1 told us. There's a difference between being 10% retarded and 90% retarded.

>Imagine the little man who is connected to the other end of that button
I did fuck up. Point being that Star understands Marco is very particular and that's about the point where her non-retardation stops, she's just been to enough dimensions to work out she's not gonna immediately get it. What in the rest of the pages indicates she knew way more about Earth?

But you don't understand! star couldn't think of a solution right then and there so she had to destroy all magic!

she was even willing to give up her best friend for it so shes a hero!

thank goodness magic allowed her to have everything she wanted as a last act or else she might have to face consequences of her actions

But of course! Why wouldn't the universe let her keep her spicc dicc? She's a goodie two-shoes that can do no wrong, as she's not from here, but is trying her best! Even if her friends cease to exist due to her actions - at least that's what the writers taught me

What would you pay to get the real story of what went down for S3 and S4? Or to get a proper AMA where questions that actually have some substance get answered.
I think I'd actually be willing to throw down $50-100 for a proper memoir/chronicle/book/whatever of Nefcy and crew dishing out the good, the bad,and the ugly details of all the design, production, and release of the entire series run. Would probably drop $30 to $60 for an AMA event where at least one question would be answered for the contribution. Call it privileged or a waste of money, but this show is like the only one I've gotten obsessed enough to post in threads consistently 4 months after the finale has aired

That's ironic.

>he thinks Star only killed millions

Does Star hold the Yea Forums count for most kills?

Attached: Born Killer.png (600x802, 1.21M)

>Star destroyed magic because there simply was no owher way to stop Mina. Was there?
>Could Star simply kill Mina like she did Toffee?
Even better. They had an awesome plan all set up and ready to go. Four butterfly-mode queens unleashing total annihilation on not just Mina but a hundred or so additional Solarian warriors in giant mecha power armor. One of them is a bigger threat than every magical force seen in the first three seasons, but queens working together invokes some metaphysical power scaling (remember the promise that freed Eclipsa). So it would have been spectacular and climactic, with a moral something along the lines of taking risks to do great things, the importance of courage in difficult situations, etc. But no, instead we get genocide and a suicidally depressed Hekapoo.

>But no, instead we get genocide and a suicidally depressed Hekapoo.

Unfortunately Dies Irae needed to be fulfilled.

Probably a candle demon if the concept art is anything to go by.

Dimensions were collided at the end. The death toll from that would have been tens of thousands at least during the few minutes we actually see. Lowest-death scenario is a quick genocide of the new arrivals by Earth military forces as monsters rampage around causing chaos. But if there were enough kaiju and other things showing up to bring down organized civilization, we're looking at a proper apocalypse with multiple billions of deaths.

That's known as bad writing, user. Bad writing leads to characters performing actions with unfortunate implications that would be out of character if they had thought about them for a minute. But the actions with unfortunate implications still happened. You're not the person who determines canon policy. You, like the rest of us, get to deal with a show that has bad writing that trashes characterization in the finale.

Wait what? I dropped this show after Season 2, what the fuck happened?

But no seriously, what the fuck happened?

No seriously that’s what season 4 was

m.youtube.com/watch?v=42eMWSMme4g

It could have been fulfilled with glory instead of damnation. That's kind of the central point.

For God's sake, the show is over. Let it go, you anal retentive incel.

Isn’t the point to damn the unworthy though?

Star committed omnicide because she wanted to fuck Marco.

How did she do that exactly?

She decided magical beings weren’t worth saving in her new world so she damned them all, had a good laugh about it.

Who is this Area anons keep mentioning? Some kind of comic artist? If so can somebody spoonfeed me a link?

user, we constantly talk about finished shows.

Attached: c3bdc0eddd5cdf2c55f208b1dfbb74d9.jpg (736x395, 49K)

It's a day of judgement.

>Death is struck, and nature quaking,
>All creation is awaking,
>To its Judge an answer making.
>...
>When the Judge his seat attaineth,
>And each hidden deed arraigneth,
>Nothing unavenged remaineth.

History is at its culmination, and the final account of everything and everyone is about to begin. No secrets will remain, and everyone will be judged and delivered to the fate due. This is naturally a daunting prospect, what with the ultimate finality and ultimate stakes. But what's this?

>King of Majesty tremendous,
>Who dost free salvation send us,
>Fount of pity, then befriend us!
>...
>Faint and weary, Thou hast sought me,
>On the Cross of suffering bought me.
>Shall such grace be vainly brought me?

Though damnation is a clear option, so too is salvation and glory. Jesus has shown the path, so all people have to do is follow it. The final judgement will be just, but it will also be merciful on those who recognize their moral failings as bad things to be avoided and honestly repent.

>Lord, all-pitying, Jesus blest,
>Grant them Thine eternal rest. Amen.

Dies Irae was traditionally used in funeral Masses, where it drew attention to the big-picture stakes of life, death, and eternity. It ends with hope that the recently deceased has found peace while making it clear to the living that that is not necessarily the case, which is something they should keep in mind for themselves.

In regards to Star's choices in the finale, she chose the option that more or less ruined things for everyone instead of confronting the immediate problem or its underlying causes. So she gets to live through the apocalypse she just kicked off, which would reasonably kill far more monsters than had been saved by de-powering the Solarians. Because monsters and humans/mewmans haven't worked out their differences, and the chaos of merged dimensions and a lack of magic makes diplomacy a low priority.

Morality and sin aren't empty concepts. The damned can't have nice things because they ruin nice things for themselves and others, even if they're given them for free. Righteousness involves doing what works best for everyone, and though there are disagreements about what exactly to aim for, it obviously involves making good judgements in complicated situations and taking responsibility for things in your power. Star wanted to avoid the need for that, so she chose the option where people can't have magic any more. This doesn't address the problems, but it strips Star of her great power and the great responsibility that came with it.

No, Glossaryck, Toffee, Heekapoo and Star all agreed magic had historicaly cause more damage to all parts involved than anything else. Only Meteora had proven to be worthy against three other nuts causing rampage.

Moon using a spell nobody could turn off and almost destroying the whole kingdom (not just monsters as it is specified Solarian warriors would kill everything on sight as they need an enemy/purpose) was the last drop.

Eclipsa proposed taking responsability of said mistake by fighting (and most likely dying for their people), Star simply decided it was not worth the effort and thought on avoiding future mistakes by erasing the problem's source.

Attached: 4ebb140d3060344ef3c2b6425bd08bc1.jpg (575x767, 74K)

You know what causes more damage in real life than everything else? Electromagnetism. All sorts of problems would go away if we just removed that fundamental force of the universe.

>Call it privileged or a waste of money
Not that user but nah, I'd do the same. I thought the finale sucked dick but this show is seriously one of my favourites. Toffee, Ludo's journey, the way magic works... Into the Wand is in my top episodes of all time.

This.

Not to mention magic still exists, Poniheads and Demons use it. The only ones affected are mewmans who weren't supposed to have it in the first place because it is unnatural to them. That's why other magical species had no problems but mewmans kept on fucking things up.

Star simply returned things to the original order, before Glossaryck ruined a whole dimension by giving a mass-destruction stick to foreign species.

Attached: 5f1e5eb3afc63b923d5a6e5c457de9ee.jpg (736x736, 70K)

>Glossaryck
Suicidal. Also a jerk, but definitely suicidal. He orchestrated his own death TWICE on-screen.

>Toffee
Explicitly evil. And destroying magic was treated as an evil badwrong thing until a few of the main characters inverted their previous positions right before the finale.

>Heekapoo
Suicidal. She spends ridiculous amounts of time alone in her time-accelerated dimension. She had settled into the work as a routine that kept her sane if not happy. Then Marco came along. His pursuit was clearly new to her in its persistence. She watched him grow into an attractive adult and get to know him with interactions with her clones. She came to like another person in a way that she hadn't before, and it enriched her life. She could live with seeing Marco every few millennia as he stopped by briefly to visit or go on an adventure. When he chose to focus on Star even during his time with Hekapoo, it devastated her. She tried and failed to recapture the magic with someone who looked a bit like Marco, but by the end of season 4, she had given up on ever finding happiness again. With no reason to continue living, she convinced Star to kill her. After the whole genocide and apocalypse thing in the finale, her character arc is probably the darkest part of the show.

> Star
A person not known for good judgement. Rather than identify and deal with the comedy of errors by everyone involved in recent events on Mewni, Star decides to rewrite the physics of the universe in a way that doesn't even resolve the present conflict.

>Explicitly evil. And destroying magic was treated as an evil badwrong thing until a few of the main characters inverted their previous positions right before the finale.

Toffee's only real evil act was killing Moon's mother/royal court and it's pretty much justified in Mewnipendence Day when we learn mewmans are just alien refugees who spent centuries stealing land and massacring the original inhabitants in unfair fights.

The problem with Toffee wasn't his goal but the methods he used to achieve it. Even Glossaryck asked Star to let things be in the realm.

Since Season 1 we are introduced on how mewman queens tend to use magic in selfish/dangerous ways and Glossaryck constantly complains about them not listening.
I think ending with mewman magic is not a bad thing, the problem is they missed a chance of showing Toffee temporarily suceeding in season 3 to prove his point, so Star could keep that thought in mind and finaly make a choice in the finale.

Attached: 3083549340debb336252bfa59ac4ee3a.jpg (735x862, 94K)

i wanna fuck tom

Thats still retarded. We're simply told that last minute while the powergap with magic usage has not been a recurring theme. Magic has nothing to do with Mewmans and Monsters hating eachother. Removing magic doesnt solve the issue of land reform.
The entire ending scenario is poorly written because Nefcy didnt plan it out.

>Magic has nothing to do with Mewmans and Monsters hating eachother

It really does when you notice that it was Skywynne's administration which fucked things up between monsters and mewmans and Solaria put the final nail in the coffin by boicoting all peace treat chances with her retarded demands.

"Hey! We won't kill you with magic buffed soldiers riding mechas, in order to steal your land if you become slaves" WTF?

They were even ok with mewmans taking their lands if they could take the Ponihead's in exchange. But Solaria had to interfere.

WHO THE FUCK AIDS PONIHEADS? Those treacherous horses haven't aid Mewni not even once during the whole show. 400 years of war so we could have Ponihead episodes... just great.

Area did the between friends comic of star vs, a very good and nsfw comic

>It really does when you notice that it was Skywynne's administration which fucked things up between monsters and mewmans and Solaria put the final nail in the coffin by boicoting all peace treat chances with her retarded demands.
No, Mewnian expansion and general xenophobia triggered hostilities.
Magic just ensured the Mewnians weren't wiped out by Monsters.

Thank you, gonna immerse myself now.

Except we know Comet was signing a peace treaty with Archduke Batwin, i.e. a point that things can actually be worked out from and the furthest any Queen had gotten, and that Toffee was a dangerous separatist who even the other monsters were split on.

Wasn’t there a scene of Star having hundreds of Skulls under her as a fucking child? She really is a natural born killer.

>Magic just ensured the Mewnians weren't wiped out by Monsters.

If they hadn't been power-hungry assholes they wouldn't have had to worry about monsters in the first place.

No magic means they had to talk and negotiate to get what they want. We've seen that, except for septarians, all the other monsters just wanted to share peacefuly.

>If they hadn't been power-hungry assholes they wouldn't have had to worry about monsters in the first place.
Perhaps, but beside the point.
The conflict initially arose over territory and got perpetuated through mutual aggression.

>No magic means they had to talk and negotiate to get what they want
No, at pretty much any point in history no magic would have meant the Mewnians being wiped out within a couple of months. Even with magic they came close to extinction before Solaria.

>We've seen that, except for septarians, all the other monsters just wanted to share peacefuly.
Not really.
Half the army joined in Toffees coup, monsters were attacking villages before Solaria created her warriors etc..

In fact, prior to Star's outreach efforts, the only non-hostile monsters were the hipster commune, who were explicedly acting against convention.

>monsters were attacking villages before Solaria created her warriors etc..

Attacking to get their houses back, and even in Solaria's flashback we see those "attacks" were mostly monsters making noise outside the village with mewmans ignoring them.

Even when Solaria talks about fighting them, mewmans look surprised and ignore her because it was no big deal. Only the village's loser follows her because she needs a purpose in life.

Monsters only whined and made noise around their lost houses until Solaria used magic to massacre them because her vision of reality was fucked up.

>Even with magic they came close to extinction before Solaria.

That was because of mewmans lack of knowledge in medicine. Their doctors literaly throw you away when sick or injured.

The only time we see a real doctor in Mewni is precisely a monster one in the Temple.

>using a catapult instead of the superior trebuchet
They deserved to get exterminated.

Don't forget their lack of higiene.

Monsters have complete bathrooms (as seen in Avarius castle) and know about germs and bacteria (Buff Frog's cleaning system and repulsion towards street shoes inside his house)

Meanwhile Mewmans don't know what a toilet is and look like pic related. It's a miracle they lasted that long.

That's the thing with the whole flashback; it contradicts what has been established in the Book of Spells to justify the show's swirf.

And even if we accept that Solaria was just a warmonger and there was no prior aggresion from the monster side; her actions created a situation where the Butterfly Kingdom would have been wiped out if it wasn't for the Solarians.

Magic served as a balancing factor to the monsters' superior strength, it wasn't the cause of the conflict.

>That was because of mewmans lack of knowledge in medicine.
No, it was because different groups competing for limited ressources pretty much always creates conflict, which gets perpetuzated through the generations.

The understood that before they retconned everything to have a simple black vs white narrative.

>You see the rulers of one faction have better sanitary conditions than the peasants of the other.
Are you retarded?

Buff Frog is a monster peasant, retard. Yet he had a better knowledge of germs and bacteria than Mewman royalty.

PS: he also owned a bathroom where he sent Moon to poo.

There is literally no reason to believe that Mewnians outside the ghetto Star dragged the Diazs through have no knowledge of Germs or bathrooms.
Several of their queens have had accute interests in science and they have access to tons of dimensions that'd give them access to it.

user, King River literaly had no idea what a toilet was. It's stated in Season 1.
The fact that a commoner like Buff Frog knows more than a king says a lot.

oh man you just destroyed him dude good job

That "bathroom" could have been a simple hole in the ground

In the first book, it stated that mewnmi doesnt have plumbing, yet the pony head kingdom did have it

All I’m getting from this thread is that Star and her family are to blame for starting shit and for keeping their people in the dark.

yes but Star makes it okay by just killing everyone.

And in season 3 they do have plumbing youtu.be/mjEgw0oQR0A?t=32

That's because the whole toilet thing was a throwaway gag.

That's the summary of the whole show.
Mewni has been a medieval shithole for centuries because if the power-hungry and incompetent bugs they have as queens, who not only put them through unnecesary wars, but keep them uneducated, dependant and are constantly in danger because their monarchs use magic against them.

Pic very related.

King River saw a toilet when he crashed at the Diazes house and wanted one too
