Some artists will gradually change their art over the years to have more "appealing" attributes over the more unique-but-niche style. Sugar for instance.

We haven't really seen Jhonen's art in like, 15 years. It's only natural he started to draw more in-line with his peers now-a-days and less like his own self-taught art back in the 90's and early 2000's.

Personally, I think Florpus art is gorgeous and love Dib's cute redesign. But that's kind of the point. It's redesigned to have more mass appeal. I understand why people would prefer the gritty unique art, and that's not bad, I just like cute Dib a lot.

Same here, I feel like there's plenty of things to appreciate about both styles and I don't wish that the show was in movie style or vice versa. Personally I do prefer the Membrane family redesigns (Gaz's outfit fits her better as a character) and the new colour palette but I don't think it's objectively better.

If Jhonen is happy with it and the team is happy with it then that's just fine with me.

Okay, now as much as I like Florpus the Tallest were completely robbed. Make Purple as stupid as you like but Red is a relatively competent leader and they both felt so dull here and it didn't help that the shots that were probably re-animated outside of Korea (it's really obvious which ones, to the point where I could list all of them in the movie) were mostly ones with the Tallest. Img is the single shot of them in the movie I think looks great, otherwise it was disappointing.

My only real complaint is that Red is the one who would be smart enough to actually take into mind what the pilot kept telling him. He's still basically a lazy, bullish teenager in personality, but he's also the more competent of the two.

VHS would take up a ton of extra physical space, unless you're willing to completely sacrifice quality and record at EP (and even then a single VHS tape is significantly larger than a disk with case). DVDs, and BDs especially, can hold a lot more information at higher quality than a VHS could ever manage.

It's obvious that the packaging is just done up to look like a VHS tape in an old school clamshell. Too bad I never bothered to get into that show itself, because that trade dress is pretty damn cool.

I have been thinking about this premise:

I dont really care what race the characters are supposed to be, I do think the pale skin helped to reinforce the general idea that dib's earth was a dystopian nightmare world where the state kept people stupid on purpose. That was kind of a big thing in the original series while the movie actually made earth look like a fairly nice place to live.

In my headcanon they can drink alcohol but they have a low tolerance for it. They pretty much get hammered after one of those crappy fruity drinks that's made with the weakest shit.

Starts of with Zim acting like how Dib wants til his defective irken instincts kick in, and "loving Dib" becomes his new mission to obsess over.
So he gets a bit clingy, but then hegets paranoid about things that could hurt Dib or steal him away, and removes them.
Then he realizes he must kidnap Dib and take him to space where absolutely nothing can get get between them.

yeah the lack of the color customization and pattern customization was a real downer. I miss the open world too. Considering the color palette of IZ, TS3 is a better ground to work on for making ZimSim.
