When I think of a John Mayer fan, I think of an Asian Guy in Cargo shorts, didn't want to become a doctor like his parents wanted. No, he was going to walk his own path. He was going to be a musician. So he went to Berklee, subscribed to Tomo Fujita and Rick Beato's Youtube Channels. Bought a shiny new Paul Reed Smith guitar with a gorgeous flamed maple top. His music business courses taught him the correct way to be a successful musician. When he saw guys like John Mayer and Jacob Collier, those were guys that were doing it right. They were masters of industry. That's who he wanted to be. After school, he ended up as a real estate agent. No one ever wanted to listen to his music, but he never lost his taste for that perfectly polished corporate rock he learned to love in school.
