the /g/ threads make us look like chimps, no wonder everyone's there now
Fuck /g/ my man
Give me advice on this
voca.ro
I get that the bass patch is the only part not from a sample pack, but you don't have to make it the loudest thing
It's just an idea rn user
It's not that loud tho user
if that gets more structure less rushed it might be something
thanks
got anything yourself?
That's mine But just an idea for now nothing even remotly set in stone
oh shit we postin orig music??
like it, weird
an interesting melodic texture
indeed very unstructured but that's kind of interesting. could have some more structured unstructuredness you know what i mean?
dunno much to say, not really my style of music
i do think the bassline sounds a bit too loud at the start, before the sub comes in
overall sounds not bad to my ears
here is a small part of a track i've been working on
voca.ro
and no my vocal clip will probably not be in the final thing lol
might try rapping over it tho
rapping could be cool
has some uk drill rap thing going on
hello prod. i am obsessed with have a nice life, and i bought all the gear they used in the making of Deathconsciousness. i find that it is very difficult to recreate their mixing aesthetic. any tips? i'm somewhat new to mixing, but i'm good at guitar.
no way post pics
they made it with only a mac (with logic), a digitech gnx4, an acoustic guitar, an electric guitar and a bass guitar. i think a shitty toy piano too (rest assured, i also own a few of those). i think they recorded the vocals through their laptop microphone lmfao
thanks mang
i just got into uk drill recently
love those basslines
You guys looked at Elektron Syntakt?
Might be Monomachine spiritual successor. 35 machines inside there, hope some of them are similar
yeah nah, its using up way too much room in the mix, but that's more because its taking so much of the high end that the vocals/rest seem cramped.
cut all the high end from the bass and you'll get a lot more room in the mix, and the bass won't sound as intrusive.
Cheers user
Will do!
recordin my post-hardcore / emoe / math album
imo this is the best sounding of the raw demos so far, addressed some very minor mixing things with headphones on
recording vocals on it tomorrow, going for a kolya-esque spoken word feel
lemme know what you think anons

hard drums and bassline!
voca.ro
been messing around with sampling
sample is Lazy Susan by Laura Nyro btw
bros imma cop an Audient id4
mistake or no?
>he thinks his cheap electronic keyboard will change the world
i can fucking dream ;-;
I think my mixes are ass or at least not that great.
voca.ro
Does the problem appear to be clashing sound selection, wrong use of eq and effects, uneven levels, or is it not that bad?
Also, how can one deliberately practice better mixing? Would ear training help?
too much reverb on hats desu
my mixes are ass too but that stuck out to me
Shidddd one of the only times I put reverb on the hats too baka
vocaroo.com
hello again, is the mix good
i like the unstructuredness, not overdoing it
not what i usually listen to but really nice mix. good job user

What's easiest daw for 432hz
i fell for the analog meme
the one you're used to
When do you use boomerstrip EQs? Why pick it over nice modern visual stuff like neutron?
I just got this neve 73 emulation and I dig it, I use it for tone shaping and will go overboard when turning the knobs.
Take some physics class you dumbass. That 432 shit is meaningless.
I broke my midi keyboard (it fell on the floor cuz I couldn't catch it with broken hand in time). The USB input is broken and the rats at the music store are asking me 100$ to fix it.
What should I do? Attempt to change the USB component myself (my soldering skills aren't that great)? Contact and sell it to Novation so they can recondition it and sell it themselves?
It's such a pity because it was in good shape otherwise.
I did some of my first soldering switching the USB connector on my old midi keyboard. What's the worst that can happen?
At least open it up and see if it's an easy fix. Or if the USB component is nested all the way between the midi keyboards succulent labia majora.
looks gay
elektron is for hipster masochists
>see i can press 3 buttons and turn an encoder 27 times to program an arp, this is so much better for my Workflow than using a computer
based
fuck /dmp/ tryhards
long live /prod/ chads
wip track, trying out a faster tempo and a slightly different chord structure from when i last posted
cool track user, well mixed
i really like the instrumental here, fits the sample super well
use parallel saturation
hey swallow master how are you
I guess I'll try to negotiate the price and then I'll do it myself if they're stubborn. Do they use "micro soldering" for that kind device? Any iron recommendation? (Need to change mine anyway)
get one with a neddle tipped top end with adjustable temperature
Start by opening the thing up and checking if the USB port is easily removed, should just be a few pieces of solder you gotta heat up, if it's any more complicated than that, then results may vary
>Give me advice on this
You're trying to make it sound like it's in the club on home speakers and that's gonna sound like shit in the club.
the build up is too long and the drop way too weak
kick could be louder
how did it go?
bump
just let it die fag, it's over
no
kys
bitch did you hear what i said
eat my cock
bros..... is it true modern producers don't use dubs and only use 1 vocal track but somehow beef it up without dubs? From what I read it was because dubs, while giving body, detract from the emotion of a well sung line?
I revive /prod/ soon guys, I'm almost done with Elden Ring.
it's not that good
very soulless
the music isn't even good either
I have a lot of problems with Elden Ring, but I'm going to finish it anyway.
I don't care for most of the music, but there was one track that I though put added an interesting flavor. I think it was one of the underground tracks with a prominent clarinet.
Getting on it now user
Hm you think its because of everything being too stereo?
Yeah composition isn't even remotely set in stone
>kick louder
Gotcha
>cut all the high end from the bass
It already is tho
