I mean you could have a rich guy walking his dog and then stop to give it water only to realize pugsly is already drinking then have him look down on the Addams family and when Morticia ask him if he wants some he can get mad and leave. But no they got fucking lazy and just did a scream and have the character run away. That action of him screaming is completely unwarranted from pugsly doing something bizzare.
That's why the movie is not going to be good. Addams do something bizzare, townsfolk reaction is worse than the original Addams family action.
All the non-Addams characters look like reject Lorax movie characters.

The summed up point is that they're never going to deliver good comedy, just fast comedy. The punch line is just 'instant reaction' not, natural observation.

I love the Addams family so much, and yes they are supposed to be campy, but this... this is so cheap looking, and I don’t even get a hint of dark aesthetic in it. It’s like whoever made this was frustrated they had to make an Addams family movie, because they wanted to work on the next Ugly Dolls.
