So who is excited for season three? Do you think we'll see more Darkwing and Gizmo or the Cabs? Will Daisy not be the worst girl in the new season? With the rumored return of return of Rescue Rangers, will they nudge and hint that Chip and Dale are Donalds oldest foes? Will Glomgold get his corkscrew wet in Goldie?
How does Glomgold consistently remain the best part of the show?
Hudson Mitchell
Because he's such a good scotsman he can over come the handicap of being born on the otherside of the world
Liam Bell
>So who is excited for season three? Ehh, too many new characters being added in, and the show hasn’t really fixed any of their mistakes besides no putting Webby and Dewey, the two worst characters, the highest on the tier list. >Do you think we'll see more Darkwing and Gizmo or the Cabs? We might get 1 more Cabs episode at most. Gizmo probably, Darkwing definitely, he still has his origin story arc to complete. >Will Daisy not be the worst girl in the new season? The Nu-Ducktales crew haven’t exactly been great at character writing or anything Donald related so I doubt that >With the rumored return of return of Rescue Rangers, will they nudge and hint that Chip and Dale are Donalds oldest foes? Ehh, possibly? Honestly i never cared for the Chip and Dale shorts, so i don’t feel too strongly about seeing them again. >Will Glomgold get his corkscrew wet in Goldie? Lol No
Owen Morris
Ok since Donald couldn't go full ape and defeat all the moonmen himself I have a way for the series to end either as a whole or season 3:
>after a spectacular finalle where everyone comes together to defeat >Gandra says she loves Gyro and changes >DW gets a shining moment >Huey's goodboy woodchuck skills help >Donald is knocked out early into Daisy's arms >Phantom bolt is defeated, etc >Glomgold wins again >FOWL the buzzards get away swearing to go for the boys first
>Two weeks later >buzzards are at a fancy country club eating near a live band >they are conspiring their next plan >cuts to sign above doorway as the doorman greets someone coming in >Sign reads "MacDuck Green" while the doorman says "Ah Mr. Duck, welcome" >Buzzards look up at a shadow >An incomprehensible "Hello boys!" as its revealed to be Donald >"Strike up the band!" is responded with this song: youtube.com/watch?v=Vhlf6pfZpXU >Credits start to roll as Donald proceeds to beat the shit out of 3 old men/birds >Scrooge walks in and gets caught in Donalds beat down >then the chipmonks start to get it >then Gladstone gets beaten when he follows a 20$ bill into the frey
He somehow willed himself into becoming the second richest person in the world despite all of his shortcomings out of pure spite
Gabriel Collins
>Season 3 will do better Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment friend. What drama? The only Duck shipping drama is coming from Tumblr over their fujoshit garbage being challenged. All the shipping in these threads is comfy Duckcest
Michael Morris
The fanbase obsesses with shipping but not the show itself In the show we only have GandraXgizmocuck (a retainer from the OG show), DonaldxDaisy (doomed love as old as time) and paumbraXlaunchpad (btfo the people making LP gay with DW)
After than the only truely possible ship would be Webby and Dewy because the bond they share and the close personal moments they have had.
Also magica needs to stay single so I can waifu her
Lincoln Gray
T. Donald Duck
Sorry bro they hate you and you'll never get your catchy theme back
>Also magica needs to stay single so I can waifu her Sorry, but she is whoring herself for dead souls that she got lost all of her savings and got fired from the Funzone.
Also you forgot about the show's biggest love triangle ScroogexGoldiexLouie
Bentley Sanders
Oh, I already voted for Pearl, sorry. Next time though.
Aaron Moore
She's too pretty to be a prostitute (protip whores irl are ugly af) She can get a man to support her
Dem haunches... I'd confit them if you know what I mean
Oh yeah if he's a "puppet" then how do you explain how he held own the the ledge with his mouth with gloms weight after being beheaded? Checkmate athiest
Christian Moore
Glomgold is so hard on him
Ayden Thomas
>>then Gladstone gets beaten when he follows a 20$ bill into the frey How would you explain his luck running out?
Jaxson Ortiz
Will the chipmonks be fullsized with RR come back? Will they even bother using Donald in that episode? Like I would be heartbroken if they didn't use Donald for the gooby episode
Blake Jones
He's rebellious but I think he's also a lot more proud of his dad now that he saved the planet
Jayden Ross
The one constant of Nu-Tales is that they will shit on everything you love
Logan Rodriguez
Looks like Season 3 will be Huey's season, according to Angones >"Sure seems like a vast shadowy conspiracy is something an intrepid, fact-obsessed, neurosis-driven scout would want to look into."
Webby and Beakley would have a larger stake in a F.O.W.L. storyline it feels like.
Jacob Hill
>"Its the vultures Lewy! They have their own ethnostate and they have been hated for milenia for being greedy demons. They control the banks and governments!"
Liam Green
1. Fuck Webby 2. Give Huey love 3. Just because her grandma is in it why should Webby? She wanted to shoehorn herself with Dewys mom, why can't huey shoehorn himself her Webbys grandma?
Zachary Robinson
Daisy and Goofy will be the Donald episodes of the season.
Then he'll completely disappear until the finale.
Thomas Davis
which fits perfectly for this ending:
Julian Green
It stands to reason something happened to her parents and it's the only core mystery the show has left outside of Della's husband.
If only there was somebody her age who shared her love of adventuring. Then she wouldn't have needed to.
William Flores
Reminder that if you say you find Penny hot, mods will ban you. See you all in three days.
John Bell
It could have been just some guy that died during their adventures that might have gotten a flashback episode but the pic of the eggs with Scrooge and Donald just makes it look like the father is a non-entity that will never be mentioned
Jonathan Diaz
I like all three of those shows
Robert Taylor
Glomgold is too good for Goldie. Also, I’m hoping S3 has Glomgold dealing with Scrooge’s other enemies after he pissed them off so bad. To the point where he has to ask the Mcducks for help
Austin Cooper
Telling Uncle Scrooge she's pregnant must have been something to see.
Let me guess. F.O.W.L.'s aim is to turn everyone on each other, and it'll work for a bit, but everyone will reconcile before the end of the season.
Christian Green
>Is our dad a secret villain? >How to be Gizmoduck's sidekick >WE ALL FLOAT + balloon picture (Paddywhack?) >Aracuan + photo of Aracuan bird >Are the Three Caballeros just a band? >Phantom Blot picture >Evil CEO I cant make out some of the others, but those are the ones worth mentioning that I can.
Wow you are reaaally salty. Webby hasn't done anything to warrant this much hatred or effort you go through to complain about her almost every single thread.
>Are the Three Caballeros just a band? Obviously a cover for their time saving the world from a dark wizard by the name of felldrake.
Nicholas Ross
Ok I think Panchito might actually be the triplets father Think about it, of the three he is the most likely to fuck his friends sister. Jose has too much control and would take it too slow
>acknowledge that Season 2 did a good thing by toning down the Webby >”Bawwww, how dare you still criticize Webby. Stop being salty!” Do you expect that venting one’s grievances to suddenly makes those grievances no longer exist after the fact, and that everyone would come around afterwords?
Ryder Cook
Wait. Are the moonlanders the bad guys?
Dominic Lewis
Apparently some antishiper made a drawing of Launchpad and Della burning the pride flag, it been taken down now after Angones asked them to take it down
Adam Adams
The leader is definately but you can't do the "we were just following orders" bullshit. Earthlings are great at making things go extinct its time to add the moon under our belt
Matthew Peterson
>Old allies that are newer than we think Huh?
Adam Kelly
Let me take a wild guess. Bratty DW/Launchpad shippers are *still* mad that Della/Launchpad fans exist. Tumblr’s obsessive hatred of Delpad is wild.
Tyler Moore
Did she ever get paired with Donald? Preferably in something that's been translated.
Colton Scott
>tfw “getting the back back together” is just codeword for Donald rejoining their hero group to defeat Felldrake again
Gavin Scott
Nope, no shipping in this show !
Tyler Barnes
Yes actually, there’s a story where she disguises herself as Daisy and pretends to be her to get closer to Donald and thus, Scrooge’s Dime. They actually got along better than Donald and Daisy ever had.
He´s the villain with most thought put into. Magica, the Beagles, Don Karnage, Mark Beaks and even Lunaris are all plain, boring villains. They´re one-dimensionally evil, and they're only recognized by how they do their crimes. Some do it old school style, some use recent tech, some are dumb, some are smart, etc. But there´s nothing to their characters beyond "I´m bad". Maybe Lunaris with his daddy issues, but that isn´t explored at all. Glomgold is the only villain who´s had a lot of thought put into. We´ve seen how he´s been constructed to be Scrooge´s perfect foil, we´ve seen his backstory and we´ve seen why he acts like that all the time. We know what Glomgold´s deal is. He´s not just another villain to add to the Mcduck gallery, he´s his own character who can perfectly work if you put him in any other show. He also has been spared from any failed attempts at deep emotional resonance, unlike the heroes of this show.
I actually found the first Reginella story kinda weak. I mean they had wiped his memory and practically kidnapped him for the purpose of being her Husbando. It wasn't even really Donald at that point. The ones after that are fun though
Did she check in his underwear? She should be thorough.
James Gray
And that's the end of it!
Incidentally there is also another Magica and Donald Story by the name of "The Onion Rose" or something like that, that, while not explicitly shippy, does have them with a sort of "odd couple" dynamic. To my knowledge though, it does not have any translations, fan or otherwise.
I'll take your word, I don't know jack about cooking
>I actually found the first Reginella story kinda weak. Reginella works better with the successive stories, as they become a full-on tragic love story
I mean, when Disney itself states explicitly they aren't together ONLY because of Canon....
Lucas Collins
yeah its just a cut of meat with a lot of conective tissue/fat like chuck, oxtails or shortrib, season it, put in in a pot with onions, herbs, pepers and other aromatics, fill it up with beef stock untill the beef is almost covered. Cook on low heat till it is fork tender EZ
Lincoln Hernandez
>All this qt wholesome love but d-did Donald smash that?
Chase Mitchell
>Magica, the Beagles, Don Karnage, Mark Beaks and even Lunaris are all plain, boring villains. Most of them have never gotten to get any depth because they are always B plots in episodes focused on the kids while Glomgold got to have the Duke Baloney and the Glomtales episodes.
>Everyone in disguise >Don Karnage doesn't even try Also that look works too well for Ma
Luis Martin
Magica at least had a few developments, and Beaks doesn't really need fleshing out, his characterization's remained pretty consistent. I do like that Esteemed Junkyard Gang Kingpin Ma Beagle's gotten more facetime and has a more active hand in things.
John Parker
Shows can develop characters as much as they need to be in just an episode That characters haven’t had concrete development as big as the major characters is a concern
Chase Stewart
The problem with Magica is that most of the development went to Lena instead. Though I loved seeing her as a party magician.
Nicholas Jackson
Considering his outfit people might just think he works there.
Aiden Bennett
>They teased Rescue Rangers. >No proper shot of Gadget >Only this small blip in the corner of the poster. I mean, she was already bland-ish in original, but I fear how they will fuck her up when the eventual cameo episode comes. Will the russian cult rise up in anger?
>jose has too much control Not a chance. Though I'd love to see a silly comic about Daisy dating Panchito and then Jose after her millionth breakup with Donald.
Landon Perez
Consent laws don't apply to non organic beings. She's gonna get probed by that tongue
Luke Wilson
How will this episode work when you take scale into consideration?
Jason Hughes
>Donald enjoys a nice week of relaxation realizing he is way better off without her >He is so happy he even gives food to the chipmonks >April not understanding his peace, feels sorry for him and trys to re-hook him up with Daisy, ruining everything
Mason Butler
Nice. Any more stories where this happens?
Jonathan Walker
Most likely, also agent of the week will show up pretending to be some new friend or employee only to sabotage the mission or steal some secrets.
I don't recall any Donald stories, but there was one where the "love interest" for disguised Magica was Gladstone. Draining his luck and swooping in to cheer the luckless dimwit to get closer to Scrooge and the dime.
Some fan even drew a crude "continuation" that I forgot about until now.
No villains is really all that thre4atening, at least none that did not come from a 2 part episode. Most threats in this show are really not that threatening at all and are usually really tame.
Like the singing pirates, that love Dewey friendly neighborly mummies total bro bigfoot beagles that love Huey evil plant that is defeated by singing Djinn who is nice and forgiving charybdis who is friendly and helpful friendly kelpies money shark that is defeated by friendship
There are almost no real threats at all so the villains do come off as jokes
Josiah Fisher
Daisy works for FOWL and is placed in as Owlsons replacement.
You know Daisy and Donald will start dating when she shows up They need to present to kids that Della/Donald aren't fucking (though we intellectuals on Yea Forums's DuckThreads know it's the case)
Robert Cooper
Noticed they kind of stopped adapting the designs for the new series and are now just reusing all the old designs. Sort of like a repeat of how the 2012 TMNT show worked out.
Lincoln White
>Think about it, of the three he is the most likely to fuck his friends sister Still think that’s Jose. Isn’t he a huge man slut in his comics? Didn’t he also try to come onto Daisy in the LOT3C which made Donald pissed? What’s to say Della is off limits?
>tfw we’ll never know what will make Donald angrier; his best friend flirting with his sister or his best friend flirting with his girlfriend.?
Elijah Davis
That would be an interesting twist but I think Gandra has the "love interest being a secret villian" down Daisy will just be a monster
Charles Peterson
Wasn't he doing his usual gentlemen greeting he does to every female regardless if he's interested, which Donald either didn't want Jose overshadowing him or mistook as attraction and got embarrassed by? He's a slut in many ways but he's too pure in the show to even have a thought like that
>Incidentally there is also another Magica and Donald Story by the name of "The Onion Rose" or something like that, that, while not explicitly shippy, does have them with a sort of "odd couple" dynamic. To my knowledge though, it does not have any translations, fan or otherwise. Ah, that's a shame.
Levi Howard
I haven't been watching, have they tried adapting any old stories? The Dream of A Lifetime would fit well and be a nice test for animating Life & Times.
Andrew Bailey
I think she'll get to be the "Daisy" in the Quack Pack episode
Donald and Della already did plenty of bonding the night after they thwarted Lunaris.
Oliver Anderson
>Gandra says she loves Gyro and changes lol nobody loves Gyro
Sebastian Rodriguez
Gyro loves himself very much thank you
She is no good for him and a golddigging thot. Whos got the gif of rich donald walking by her as she pleas?
Jaxson Adams
>Incidentally there is also another Magica and Donald Story by the name of "The Onion Rose" or something like that, that, while not explicitly shippy, does have them with a sort of "odd couple" dynamic. To my knowledge though, it does not have any translations, fan or otherwise. Is that where this is from?
Yes actually. I tried looking into it before, but i couldn’t even find and untranslated scan of it it (mostly because Google searching is hard when you don understand what any of the words even mean).
Michael Sanchez
when they were eating the melon head, did it look like mickey's actual head being devoured in Donald's eyes?
What happened in the fandom that now the crew has to kill all ships? Was there a suicide?
Tyler Bailey
Some Dumb nigglet made a picture of Della and Launchpad burning the pride flag as a fuck you to their respective gay shippers, and then posted it on either Twitter or tumblr, some garbage platform like that.
Either way it’s irrelevant. A mere squabble of the peasants before the TRUE patrician ship of Nu-Ducktales.
I bet it was a false flag to say "Fuck this show, it hates gay people"
Nathan Lee
Dumb
Julian Lee
This is great
Nicholas Phillips
well there are certain cults that would make changing the holy one kinda dangerous
Jayden Rivera
Drama against Delpad shippers. Some Drakepads Believe it’s homophobic or something, and a Drawing of Launchpad and Della burning a pride flag was made. At some Point the showruner got involved.
Pic related. Besides Lena and Webby has lost some steam now that Lena’s been getting the Donald treatment. At this point Webby and Dewey have more going for them. Except that the person who drew it didn’t even try to pass it off as something the show made. It was just typical ship wars. Stop being so obsessed.
Wait, I thought it was the Drakepad side that did the drawing? The Delpad people are doing their ship week thing and the Drakepads kept joking about one of the prompts being “burning a pride flag”
Sebastian Mitchell
Huh maybe Magica will have a chance if they go with Uber Bitch Daisy
Adrian Walker
I can’t believe they actually dragged the crew into this, holy shit. does anyone have the pic
Brayden Hernandez
It came from a drake pad shipper’s twitter.
Hudson Hall
>Wait, I thought it was the Drakepad side that did the drawing? Could be. Either way, someone did it and they’re both still Autistic, so the results are still the same
Zachary Perez
He’s also a genius inventor so I’m sure he’s got a room full of robots for...other purposes
Yea that would be bout right. Them felling persecuted by the even glint of a straight anything.
Even though Launchpad has had at least three girlfriends and is looking to crater the moon.
Anthony Morales
It’s been deleted by the twitter user.
Justin Thomas
The weirdest thing I saw was someone claiming that the show was “queer baiting” by implying Drake/LP and then having that scene at the end of the finale with Penny. The show has barely given Drake/LP any time together, most of the context for that is from the OG DWD series.
Carter Ross
Here’s hoping Daisy is either consistently Likable a total Uber-bitch.
If she’s good then I’ll be more than happy to give credit where credit is due acknowledge that the show did damn well.
If she’s a a super bitch that not not even Tumblrinas or Twitterfags can deny, then that’s just as good, or at least close, because then it least is provides a chance to get the Normals to see that Daisy is a shit and maybe even get a few alternative Donald ships out there.
I hope she's a bitchy argumentative girl who still loves him in the end, just like he'll love her back despite her being bitchy and needy, just for the amount of salt that will be endlessly posted here on 4channel.
Brody Lee
Most Disney nowadays shows tend to end after 3-4 seasons anyways
Jayden Sanchez
>i only care about a show’s developments for the salt they bring Have you considered finding a hobby? Like reading, or biking, or playing videogames?
Chase Myers
Lena and Webby at least has tumblr art, which is more than most ships get.
I bet this episode is a parody of reality shows. They have to pretend to be the perfect family on camera. So Beakley and Della dress up like the perfect moms and the kids wear normal kid costumes.
Eli Davis
He’s on the poster but thanks to him being a McDuck ancestor, he has to stay in the past.
Jaxson Green
((buzzards))
Luis Sanchez
>Lena and Webby at least has tumblr art, which is more than most ships get. True but that has less to do with a Ship’s quality and more with Tumblrs tastes. As long as it’s gay or lesbian it’s going to have at least one picture of both participants with a pride flag.
Carson Ross
So, Scrooge has worked for SHUSH and has been unknowingly funding FOWL
Webby had that line about how Lena can break into anything, including your heart. She grabbed her own chest and said that line in a way that carried romantic connotations. Also, in the most recent episode, Webby's tears fell on Lena's lips - or bill, I guess - and that is what brought her back. There's been enough smoke for people to want a fire.
Yup. It was a Drakepad shipper. Drakepad shippers made an “Anti-Delpad Week” with a list of hateful prompts. Day 1 was “Burning Pride Flags.” (Because, in their eyes, Delpad shippers hate the gays since it’s an M/F ship.)
Naturally, the Drakepad shippers drew artwork of this to upset the Delpad fans. They didn’t count on it upsetting Frank as well. Frank got involved and told the Drakepad shipper to take it down because fanart of Della and Launchpad committing a hate crime is, in fact, gross.
I’m impressed that Drakepad shippers managed to reach the galaxy-brained level of “Let’s be openly homophobic to own the het shippers.” That’s a new level of stupid in shipwank that I had yet to see.
Austin Cooper
>Burning a faggot flag is an evil hate crime >burning a US flag is free speach Fuck that I think I'll burn a faggot flag myself
Gabriel Lopez
But why do they hate Delpad when Penumbra is the one fucking Launchpad right now?
Robert Walker
My guess? Misdirected anger. They want to bash someone and it’s not like there are a lot of Penny/Launchpad shippers out there. But there are Della/Launchpad shippers! And if they’re going to harass people over Launchpad falling in love with someone who isn’t DW in the S2 finale, might as well be the Delpad fans, I guess.
Plus, old habits die hard. They’ve obsessively hated on Delpad before. Why stop now?
David Reyes
There were also Penumbra/Della shippers as well. Basically some wanted Della Launchpad and Drake to all be gay.
Jayden Torres
Why are male/male shippers so much more toxic than female/female ones?
It’s because they’ve fooled themselves into believing that they’re crusaders for shipping something gay, and if something isn’t he same as their ship, it must be on “the wrong side of history”.
Hunter Thomas
Honestly? I think gay shippers are just more toxic than het shippers in general. Now that there’s a chance that a gay ship can be canon, people with gay ships harass anyone who gets in their way and attack the creators over it too (because they’ll pretend to want “LGBTQ representation” but they really just want their ship to be canon).
At least Yea Forums caballero fags never got upset with the people shipping april/may/june with the cabs. Maybe we're just better than tumblr. A low bar, really.
Andrew Brown
The nieces thing is pretty much just Yea Forums, same with Duckcest.
Levi Stewart
But Yea Forums still has plenty of Fujos. They just didn’t start autistically shrieking about it.
William Carter
Wait so does April want Donald or is that just a meme
Tyler Taylor
Nothing wrong with LGBT representation or getting your rocks off but fuck, at least be honest about your intentions.
Joseph Bennett
Think it started as meme but someone found a comic where April did have a crush on Donald.
Michael Reed
Its canon. not really, but it is a cute idea that the nieces each have a crush on an individual Cab, and it doesn’t require too much of a stretch either, so it’s very accepted headcanon
It was implied that each of the nieces had a crush on each of The Cabs, supposedly.
Kevin Torres
I just wish duckmedia had more artists. April/May/June barely got any art, and none of it was lewd to my knowledge. Della barely has any. Same for Lena and new Magica. It's a very niche crowd.
Leo Sullivan
Think some have a problem drawing bills.
Jason Watson
But my landlord isn't even an artist and he loves to draw bills
Chase Parker
So think they will ever explain Hortense and Quackmore looking like they lived in the 1920s while Della and Donald were born in the 1980s?
What do you think Lena did for the 15 years she was alive? Do you think her story to Webby about going to concerts overseas was true, or did she just live in her hole waiting for Magica to contact her? She clearly developed her own personality somewhere, unless Magica is secretly just like Lena.
Nolan Jones
They really rushed their reunion. Didn't get a chance to talk about what happened. Donald didn't even notice her leg was missing. I fear they never will address things further because by the time season three hits, season two will be old news.
Andrew Reyes
Donald and Daisy’s relationship is typically one-sided though, with Donald just taking it like an abused housewife. Donald and Della however...
Because male/male ones do it to schlick to them under the excuse of representing the gay community so they are far more vocal about wanting them to happen.
Jaxon Rogers
Idea for her episode >Daisy tries to sponge off of Scrooge's fortune via Donald >She doesn't realize that Donald doesn't get one thin dime from Scrooge and grows increasingly frustrated with Donald's "cheapness"
Camden Lewis
>Panchito's adrenaline junkie ways compliment Della >Jose's charms have Daisy fall for him Donald would have plenty of anger for both. Daisy was weirded out by Don's spic friends I felt in the show.
Jose James
While I liked that idea, any particular scenes that show this? I wouldn’t be surprised if they had crushes on the Cabs depending on their interactions but I didn’t get the sense that each triplet had a individual crush on a particular cab
Landon Watson
At least be thankful that until last year, Della and AMJ were never voiced.
Josiah Carter
He did make Robotica.
Carter White
Yuri fags can still be insufferable though. Remember LOK and Korrasami?
Jacob Gomez
Korrasami happened because bryke were hacks that thought they could leave a mark with last minute lesbians. Not because of a loud or even large yurifag fanbase.
AT is a far better example for insufferable yurifags.
Jayden Hernandez
>none of it was lewd to my knowledge Only two good ones exist that I've seen. First was triplets giving Donald a beakjob on e621 and second was Donald catching the girls making out while smoking pot on twitter.
Isaiah Gutierrez
Sauce?
Cameron Hill
I think the problem with AMJ is no one fucking knows about that show Problem for the DT cast is that I feel they are harder to draw with less reward. Though it's picking up a lot I feel
Josiah Nelson
And it turned evil.
Noah Thomas
The fuck
Juan Cook
Sometimes I'm glad Cabs didn't get promoted and didn't get this fucking fanbase
Justin Morris
That’s a self-own if I’ve ever heard of one. Isn’t one of the big Delpad shippers openly gay? This whole thing is ridiculous and hilarious. I hate that the crew is now aware of this bullshit. It’s cool when creators interact but this fandom really needs that 4th wall. Holy fuck.
Aaron Watson
How happy would Huey be if at least one of his brothers inquired about becoming a Junior Woodchuck?
Carson Rivera
What? You don't get hard at the idea of Magica seducing Della in an attempt to steal Scrooge's dime? And for Lena to have an anxiety attack when she's forced to be Magica's bridesmaid since she doesn't want to upset Webby?
Ethan Jackson
It's not like the Cabs threads weren't filled with fujos trying to make them all gay for the start
Jeremiah White
I want this to be some weird alternate reality where Della raised the boys and their names are actually Jet, Turbo, and Rebel in order to top the original series in sheer 90s-ness.
Sebastian Cruz
I’m just going to start shipping shit out of spite now BeakleyPad OTP
Camden Rodriguez
True, but it was probably the most chill fujo experience of all time Now if it was like the Ducktales fujos it would be shitty as fuck
Bentley Phillips
CARLOS
Isaac Powell
They were bad enough to bring fujos to Yea Forums out of all places. Imagine how they'd be for the tumblr portion of the fanbase
Jason Bell
The fact that all of his inventions turn evil can’t be a coincidence. He’s a masochist.
Jayden Hughes
>Huey's goodboy woodchuck skills help What's the difference between Huey being a goodboy and a goody two-shoes?
Jacob Collins
Everyone else was weirded out by Daisy Both were kind of going after Donald for different reasons
Everybody always goes on and on about "poor lena", but can we take a moment to acknowledge that Magica had it far worse? She was trapped in the shadow realm for 15 fucking years, relying on a rogue shadow to orchestrate her freedom, only for said freedom to last less than a day and then have all of her magic sucked out of her. Worse, that magic is now in the shadow that rebelled against her and she's using that magic to help her mortal enemy.
Even ignoring how she's degrading herself by being a birthday magician, that's quite a whirlwind. She was trapped longer than Della was trapped.
Yeah. I don’t know any of these people I just find the drama fascinating. I’ve seen a few Drakepad people say that today was one of the worst days of their lives because they got called out by show staff. I cannot believe that the person who drew the burning flag drawing actually thought it was a good idea, Jesus Christ.
Brandon Murphy
So did Della.
Kayden Cook
Since Huey and Webby already got to wingman for Fenton, who'll do it for Donald and Daisy?
Anyway to edit his outfit to green? Anyways, I could see Huey having blue and green variations of his outfit for his brothers.
Charles James
>taking relationship advice from a single mom who has been out of the dating scene for ten years What could go wrong?
Grayson Reyes
Not disastrous enough. Better add Dewey.
Matthew Peterson
Hopefully nobody. If they’re going to bring Daisy in, the least they could do is let it be a Donald Focus episode. >Implying she wouldn’t try to sabotage it on purpose.
Dylan Roberts
Write a S3 episode, Yea Forums
Jacob Bailey
Who knows how long Donald himself has been out of the scene?
Samuel Williams
Literally anybody but Gladstone
Cooper Bell
They needed a warrior and she wanted a guy with a job, good anger management, and living quarters. >Even ignoring how she's degrading herself by being a birthday magician A step up from turning tricks in back alleys.
There will never be a better group to help a date go well then those 3
Caleb Rivera
F.O.W.L. manipulates the lives of four separate individuals into ruin and madness to form the fearsome five before shifting blame onto the Duck family
Andrew Price
Fenton and Drake bump into each other and become really great friends. Neither is aware of their alter egos or that their new friend hates them in costume. Both have to combat a threat without revealing their identity to the other
John Roberts
I don’t know, A Gladstone wingman episode sounds kind of fun. He is less of a bag of dicks in this iteration. It would be a nice step to show that they’re serious about making a good Daisy by nipping that horrid love triangle in the bud.
Isaac Edwards
The nephew and webby retrace and old aventure Scrooge, Della and Scrooge went on.
Isaiah Adams
>Implying Della would help some other harlot get close to her Donald.
Yep, some of it's pretty old. Honestly, outside of me posting it, seems like this artist is the only one who ships this or at least consistently makes content for it, and does it all without taking part in any of the shipping drama, and it's cause they really like Magica, so I can respect that.
Does Magic even have a shadow? Since it sort of became alive and turned into Lena
Anthony Morris
I will not understand how this pic became the poster for Ducktales based homophobia everywhere
Benjamin Long
Ever notice how the shippers are going that extra mile to fuck over series? They are also currently trying to get the creator of Mao Mao fired for the same thing.
Xavier Adams
Yeah, gotta admit, he and Donald not actively competing or antagonizing each other really helps Gladstone be less of a shit while still making his luck annoying. It could be fun, especially if Donald follows advice that only works for someone who's actually lucky. Just hope there's no one there that actually wants the terrible love triangle.
Ayden Sullivan
Because all of these relationships are “abusive” or something
Zachary James
This is a question I ask every day Assume just anywhere in the cabana. Maybe they had sleeping bags
Logan Nelson
>Because all of these relationships are “abusive” or something I mean i can agree on that with Donald and Daisy one, and I’m not exactly keen on Scrooge with this Goldie, but the others were fine.
Alexander Brown
I think that if Drakepad is endgame it was decided before the shippers started getting into it but they’re constantly looking for reassurance from staff about it and it’s weird as duck that the staff is willing to give it.
Jace Ramirez
Shippers are the main ones who cannot ever handle the reality not matching their fantasy. Out of all the freaks that get a little "too" into a series. shippers lash out the most and attack people over their bullshit most often.
Isaac Parker
freeflyspecter and IgotDragons
Robert Bailey
The staff loves giving the series attention no matter who from I think they don't know how bad the shipping wars can get if they keep it up
I think the thing about the nieces and caballeros shipping which prevents any real ire is that it is based on innocent and one-sided crushes. I'm sure Ari could find them cots or hammocks to sleep in.
Would kinda be funny to see an adult Webby and the nephews next to a still a teen Lena.
Gavin Kelly
Holy fuck I hate shippers more than anything. If I manage make it big someday in the game industry, I will tease all the juiciest ships and then nuke them from the orbit with one fell swoop. Fandom purged.
Nathan Price
There is such a thing as a straight pride flag?
Jack Williams
Im pretty sure the straight pride flag is a joke, I've seen different versions and I doubt any of them are considered legit by anyone but the kind of people who would go to a straight pride parade
Make your bets, will Donald have an episode where he's the one driving the plot forward instead of just reacting to what others are doing?
As someone raised on Barks comics it's incredible that, for all the independence and individuality they've given the nephews, they've gone and made Donald (Donald frigging Duck!!) rely pretty much entirely on the kids to have any screentime or awesome moments.
Angones said he'd like to see a Scrooge-Donald episode in the future. That we're in season three and this hasn't yet happened speaks volumes of the show's narrative priorities; but hopefully we make some progress toward getting that duck his vigor back this season, now that his sister is alive and he should, in theory, be free to live his own damn life.
Jeremiah Clark
That's still my favorite headcanon from these threads. That Lena tries to act like a normal girl but it's just a facade and she doesn't really know what she's doing.
Mason Watson
>Yup. It was a Drakepad shipper. Drakepad shippers made an “Anti-Delpad Week” with a list of hateful prompts. Day 1 was “Burning Pride Flags.” (Because, in their eyes, Delpad shippers hate the gays since it’s an M/F ship.)
See this is so fucking ridiculous it'd take a lot for me to be sure it isn't a deliberate troll. There's a fucking ton of trolling and convoluted false-flagging and elaborate lying on Tumblr, especially for ship wars. People try to paint rival shippers in a bad light or as pedophile monsters who should be locked up all the time. But sometimes they're not even shippers or fans it's just for the lulz or spite over politics or hating a show or old middle school ex friend fallout drama. So I don't know.
The DWD creator Tad Stones said that if the show had another season or two, Drake and Morgana would have gotten married and raised Gosalyn together, and maybe raise some more kids that were biologically theirs, I can't remember. I don't mind people having another idea in their heads and I also don't mind the reboot doing totally different things different ways but it's a straight ship with Drake and was original series canon and seemed pretty committed eventually. If this isn't trolling it's just stupid.
> I will tease all the juiciest ships and then nuke them from the orbit with one fell swoop. Fandom purged. That’s the opposite of how you purge shippers you dumb nigglet. That’s how you cause a shitstorm. You purge them by not allowing them to take root in the first place and calling out their headcanons before they can get autistic about them.
Mason Mitchell
>Donald, while at his new job as a Dock Worker or something, notices a suspicious figure that kind of looks like Lena loitering around before disappearing off >upon closer inspection, and a little tailing, it turns out that’s because it IS Lena, and that for some reason she’s still living in her old hovel >When asked about what happened to her living with Violet’s family, she gives some aloof sounding statement about how it’s better for everyone involved that she lives on her own, Which Donald interprets as her being a rebellious teen and having felt constrained by the lack of privacy and solitude living with them must have given her >Seeing as there’s a big storm coming, and that Lena’s little hideout wouldn’t be able to withstand the rigors of it, Donald tries to convince her to spend the night at Scrooge’s mansion, or at least his Houseboat since there’s plenty of empty room >not wanting to worry Webby with how she’s been living and not mentioning how Scrooge had made an offer to stay at the mansion with him, she acquiesces to staying in the Houseboat >during the drive there Donald tries to make conversation with her about his own experiences as a rebellious teenager feeling constricted by his family >Lena elaborates on her life, moving from place to place, living on her own and fending for herself because she had never had any family or friends to turn to, aside from her ever-present Aunt Magica that she hadn’t left Violet’s place because they were too overbearing or that she didn't appreciate their help, but that she had felt like she was imposing and intruding upon their family, and burdening them with her own inability to be normal. >While Donald is Hurricane proofing the boat, Lena asks about the triple bunkbed in one of the rooms, >Donald tells her that those used to be the Triplets’ before they moved into the mansion with Scrooge.
>Lena amusedly asks how a self-proclaimed grunge rebel had turned into a Father of 3 and goody-goody that let troubled homeless teens bunk at his house. Which Donald joking replies by saying that the Grunge scene had died off years ago. >He also gives her a serious follow-up that saying that he had stepped up to the plate because his family had needed him, and that was just what you do. >Suddenly the Houseboat gets rocked by a heavy wind, which is odd since the storm had only just started >Donald goes outside to check, and gets knocked against the wall by Magica De Spell >It turns out that she had been looking for Lena so that she could take back her amulet and dissolve the magic that made up her being, and had ended up scouring the whole city and and traced her back to Donald’s Houseboat, which is conveniently not in the mansion or its main defenses >Not noticing Lena, she tries to interrogate Donald as to where she’s hiding, who’s pinned against the wall by her magic and can’t fight back >Magica starts to suffocate him as an ultimatum, but Lena grabs her attention and taunts her before snagging Donald’s keys and driving off in his car. >Magica leaves Donald and a chase ensues as the storm worsens, Lena eventually having to abandon the Car and run on foot >when Magica catches up to her, she chastises Lena for her sentimentality, endangering herself for a Duck and how she’d have done better to remember that she was not a real person, but her construct, to make and unmake as she wished >Suddenly, Donald, who had been following behind, tackle Magica from behind (and anti-climactically knocks her out when she hits her head falling) >Donald starts chewing Lena out for endangering herself by trying to lead Magica away,
Ryder Parker
It’s probably a really shitty cake too There’s probably cat food or sawdust in it or something
Jack Thompson
>Lena, completely inexperienced with dealing Parental concern, reacts by getting angrily defensive in return, saying that she can take care of her self and asking why Donald’s so bothered over what she does and went through all that trouble for her when she’s not even family >Donald tells her that family’s not about who or where you come from, but who you go with, That it’s not determined by mere blood, but by people who care about you, and that while he doesn’t know Lena or what she’s been through well enough to call himself family, he would like to, if wanted it. >Touched by this display, Lena returns with Donald to his house boat (with Magica in tow because you can’t leave even a villain to die of Hypothermia or debris in a storm).
Julian Edwards
(Oh and because most people here probably don't remember it, Darkwing/Morgana being canon, or Launchpad's tons of girlfriends, never stopped people from shipping Darkwing/Launchpad back then, there was a big shipping community. So this really doesn't make any sense. Donald and Daisy don't stop the other love interests he gets at times in the comics, 3Cabs shippers, shipping Donald with others, or anything and that's as canon Commandment as you can possibly get so jesus.)
Gladstone and Magica were never portrayed as angry and bellicose towards eachother. This image is a sham.
Mason Martinez
>Donald and Daisy don't stop the other love interests he gets at times in the comics, 3Cabs shippers, shipping Donald with others, or anything and that's as canon Commandment as you can possibly get so jesus.) To be fair, that’s Because Daisy is arguable the reason for all that shipping to exist in the first place. Seriously, if Daisy wasn’t so shit there wouldn’t be nearly as much Donald shipping as there is.
Jason Jones
The anti delpad people behind the prompt list and flag burning drawings are all long time big name fans prominent in the fandom. One of the most well known ones made an “apology” post about how she was just STANDING UP FOR HER BELIEFS and sperging out over how the other fans calling her out for her bullshit were “way older” than her (but of course still sucking up to the show crew all of whom are also “way older”)
Aiden Cook
My favorite head-canon is Lena sneaks aboard Donald's houseboat as a transient guest and he treats her like the daughter he never had. Fund it.
You’re right, I remember there being a huge DWD shipping community back in the days of newsgroups & geocities and there was way less hostility (DWD/LP has always been a popular pairing) I think the difference is that fandom itself has changed, the lack of a 4th wall has resulted in fans seeking validation from creators and this fandom, with the show runner & crew actively answering questions and engaging, is notorious for it. There are a lot of LGBT staff on the show and most of the big name fans are as well so a lot of these kids flipping out over het ships think they’re protecting the integrity of the show/characters/fandom via virtue signaling in a way that feels more personal to them than it might have in the 90s where everyone was left to their own devices with no word of god or interaction from anyone involved with the show
Charles Cook
>Lena doesn't get periods >she feels left out when all her peers are sufferring
James Clark
She should feel lucky desu
Cameron Ortiz
>hey guys I couldn't find the baking soda so I used that other junk you keep under the sink like weirdos
At least one of the people who drew a burning pride flag drawing actually apologized, the other person hasn't said anything about it as far as I know. Seems like a lot of "Im only sorry cuz I got caught".
Christopher Phillips
More like Lena waits until Donald has fallen asleep and uses his unconscious body to get off because she doesn't fully understand the idea of masturbation.
Carson Collins
I can't believe Louie legally owns 1 billion dead souls.
Brayden Reed
>Louie gets sick of putting up with Webby and Lena's shit >Goes straight to Magica for mentorship to stick it to them >Offers the 1 billion dead souls in exchange for this >We get evil mage Louie I'd watch it
Jeremiah James
Yeah, but it's pink and blue. There's even straight pride parades now, that exist only about half ironically.
Camden Ortiz
While that does sound hilarious, you can see that Della still has her robot leg, so no dice.
Adrian Taylor
Some people are still in that 2000s internet = no consequences mindset.
Owen Smith
I mean...it’s Della, she could have lost that leg on another of her misadventures
Wyatt Russell
What did the staff actually say?
Didn't Ian once say just not to harass people and fans got pissed off at him for it? Was this like that again?
Asher Taylor
There's also the fact that back in the 90s and 2000s everyone knew there was no chance for same sex ships to be canon, but now that it's possible that's raised the stakes.
Carter Flores
Turning ILLUSIONS!
Charles Powell
Frank sent a DM to the artist condemning the drawing and asking her to take it down. There’s a screen cap out there but I can’t find it right now. One of the board artists also made a thread about how rabid LGBT shippers make it harder to get actual canon LGBT characters in shows
Camden Powell
That’s definitely true as well.
Alexander Gray
It also meant that shippers didn't hold it against a show's creators or other fans when a gay ship wasn't canonised or was directly contradicted by a straight ship, people had conservative soccer moms and fearful studio execs to blame back then.
I also remember a comic, I think it might be from the same artist, where Donald gets himself in a fourway relationship with Daisy, Magica, and Oona the cavewoman all falling crazy for him to the point of fighting each other, I think because of a love spell or something like that. Does anyone remember the name of it?
Mason Campbell
Magica is for lewd, prove me wrong.
Isaiah Cox
Daisy is a tricky character to write, and I feel the crew is aware of that and this is why they haven't dared including her during the pilot seasons. She cannot be a smooth loving character like Minnie is to Mickey, there needs to be a bit of argument and squabbling in their relationship, or that just wouldn't be a Donald/Daisy couple.
Yet too often this squabbling is put to the extreme and Daisy is being depicted as straight out abusive to Donald. The old cartoons were the main culprits in creating that trope, Carl Barks's writing of her was notoriously terrible as shown on , and even Lot3C didn't really do a good job on the Daisy part.
I just hope the writers will put the balance well between likeability and argumentativeness. Ditch the abuse, give a good and believable reason for the arguments to happen, and have those arguments be a catalyst for making their relationship stronger by helping each other better themselves. The Donald and Della interaction in the finale is actually a good template for what a Donald/Daisy argument should look like, but with a romantic bond rather than a sibling bond inb4 why not both.
I'm also worried that the writers have made Donald too smooth and flawless to make an argument work well in Daisy's favour. If he was more of his lazy short tempered inconsiderate self like in the comics there could be ground for Daisy to be right in starting an argument and give a chance for Donald to improve. But there, starting an argument with Donald, considering how selfless he is, would come out as unfair to Donald, which is exactly the trap Lot3C fell into.
Finally, the arguments and squabbles should come just as much from Donald as from Daisy. It's not fun to watch a couple where one part lashes out on the other all the time for no reason. The argument needs to be deserved and come from one part being slightly shitty to the other, and the other feeling genuinely hurt.
Blake Cooper
Now that the triplets live with a rich trillionaire grunkle and have their mom back who will spend more time with them, Donald could have more time to be more like his usual canonical depiction like in other Disney media.
Although, one problem also is that Donald actually already improved massively by the end of episode 2. We should be reminded that Donald's flaw at first was that he was the overprotective helicopter parent who overdid it with trying to keep the kids safe. By the end of the Atlantis episode, he became a panda dad (figuratively), trusting the kids to be able to take care of themselves in most cases and be otherwise safe with their grand uncle now. It's good that Donald is willing to be a best parent figure for the kids, but by having changed so early and doing an almost radical 180 grade turn, he does somewhat lack in that development that other fictional parent figures would get. Oh well, everything's easier in hindsight.
Liam Walker
A lot of writers forgot at some point is that, especially looking at the old shorts, Daisy is very fond of Donald. She falls for him hard in her first appearance. She's very supportive of him in Donald's Dream Voice. Daisy even screws over the world by taking away its star singer so she can have her Donald return to her. They've been more careful about her temper, too. A lot of the times she gets mad, she has a reason for it or it's set up for the punchline. Even Taliaferro strips has some with her just being a regular girlfriend.
I don't think it's really about making sure they fight. They actually don't have to. The writers just got to remember that, however direction they go, they really do like each other a lot.
That being said, Donald hasn't been complete smooth and flawless either. The lack of screentime is to blame, but you can still see some of his flaws in the Caballeros episode. If anything, the smoothest way to probably go about it is to make whatever conflict in the Daisy-Donald episode be from an outside source, not between the two.
Logan Gutierrez
Not sure why
Aaron Thompson
In your opinion, was Ducktales worth killing off the Cabs show
They can both co-exist, if anything what killed Cabs was Disney wanting more content for their streaming platform
Joseph Harris
What about if one or both of his brothers wanted to be just like him?
Jordan Clark
Yeah, the lack of any real apology from the people who were responsible for this is what tells me that something embarrassing is likely to happen again. Even the one artist who did end up apologizing for drawing Della & Launchpad burning a flag is still using the “It was just a joke” excuse for their behavior.
Personally, I think if you’re pathetic enough to make anti-(ship) fancontent of any sort, you’re kinda in too deep to begin with. Getting scolded by the showrunner may teach them not to get caught drawing characters committing hate crimes. But that’s it.
David Jones
They can co-exist, but they claim they want new series for D+ but aren’t even promoting this is on the platform and just dumping it Ducktales killed it off
Ryan Smith
Acknowledging these psychos will just bite them in the ass eventually when they do aren't satisfied with whatever minor gay pairing they choose to do.
Nathaniel Hughes
To be fair this time around they did not pick minor characters Disney wouldn’t have a use for afterwards to gay ship
Thomas Edwards
I have physical copy of this comic somewhere, there's also a website in my country that includes EVERY donald duck story in existence, modern and old, but there's a subscription you need to pay to access it all. Damn it feels good to be a finn.
And if they do make DW/Launchpad or Della/Penumbra canon, it’s now tainted with the fact that everyone in the fandom will be thinking, “Huh. I guess the person who drew Della and Launchpad burning pride flags got exactly what they wanted in the end.”
Colton Phillips
I'm pretty sure that fag pride flag is a joke. I've seen different versions and I doubt any of them are considered legit by anybody but the kind of people who would go to a fag pride parade.
Wyatt Turner
No. Not even close
Wyatt Ortiz
Who is the second best villain? My vote is Mark Beaks. Even though his schtick of acting like a millennial millionaire will age like milk, it is well done and funny for the time. I also like that even though he acts like a manchild there is clear smarts behind him, and I don't mean the gadgets. He has actual evil plans and plays up his friendly persona for clicks.
No plot point is going to be tainted to me because one idiot drew some edgy “fan”art
Brayden Moore
He meets a really sexy cadre of nurses in the hospital.
Aiden Moore
I still feel that he was wasted being turned into a joke villain way too early. He could have been a good foil as a new age billionaire compared to Scrooge being an old-fashioned one. And now he is mostly used as Fenton's nemesis.
Carson Collins
Yes. Fangirls are unlovable, spiteful, nasty little creatures. It's basically high school drama surrounding fictional characters.
Wyatt Reed
Their designs weren't really that fashionable back then either. Dale's maybe, but it was a specific tv show reference.
Blake Kelly
You know, I didn't watch Bojack Horseman before his first appearance but I caught up with it since then. Gladstone sharing voice with Mr Peanut butter is more fitting than I expected. I always read him more like Snagglepuss as a kid.
Gabriel Thompson
The kelpies weren't friendly, that was their lure. They were simply unsuccessful. The harpies remained a threat throughout, even at the end. But yeah, it's not a serious action show. You won't suddenly get 4kids TMNT Shredder tier villain dismembering underlings for failure.
Blake Thompson
They reference old stories but in ways that render them very different to originals. A recent episode had Bombie the Zombie, but no explanation for his origin.
Jaxon Rivera
>Donald comments on how he always wakes up refreshed when Lena visits
Josiah Edwards
>episode where the ducks go by boat with Donald at the helm >Della is sea sick the entire time >the kids aren't as they literally grew up on a boat I hope this happens.
Zachary Gutierrez
Glomgold has been introduced as a joke villain right from the get go, but even he has had his threatening moments and bursts of genius, like in The Golden Lagoon of White Agony Plains. And GlomTales had Beaks but no Fenton, so I don't think Beaks will be relegated to just be Fenton's nemesis, I do hope he'll have his big moment against Scrooge.
I have high hopes for Rockerduck in season 3. I can see him be what Glomgold was in the comics and original DuckTales, a competent and smart billionaire who's not afraid of playing dirty, and has the potential to be an actual threat. I don't know how his involvement with FOWL will play out, and I hope he won't just be a minion and will act on his own terms, but he could be a villain who will raise the stakes of the show compared to Glomgold's self destructing stupidity, the Beagle Boys' general incompetence and Magica's demotion to fighting against kids.
Robert Evans
Straight had a flag for a while, made by the gays which is why it's boring black and white.
Anthony Torres
>Make your bets, will Donald have an episode where he's the one driving the plot forward instead of just reacting to what others are doing? it’s been two seasons already. Far too late to still hold hope that the writers would pay attention to feedback. At best he’ll get dragged out for the Daisy episode and then shoved off screen again.
Ryder Myers
Beaks is more insidious than just being a villain against Scrooge. Remember the BUDDY system? Beaks is more than willing to make business with Scrooge. I don't think Scrooge registers Beaks as a rival or villain, even though he can literally dab on the bin's defences. Beaks is low key powerful. He just doesn't really care. He already owns duck Google.
Aaron Carter
>She has to outright tell him because he realizes why
Henry Wood
Is that how people think of sexual preference? Like it’s just something to make you stand out from the “boring” people? Sorry, but I’m bi because I know what I’m attracted to. I don’t need to tell anyone this. People seeing it as something to make you unique piss me off
Luis Parker
>he completely misunderstands her >"Della used to sleep with me too when she was your age. She'd have nightmares and we'd share a bed. No shame in that, Lena."
Connor Smith
>It turns out Donald had misunderstood what Della meant by that as well >He's completely caught off guard when Lena kisses him in front of all of nearly his entire family, because of "advice" given to her by Webby
Magica was trapped and yet somehow also Lena's shadow? And Lena's her own shadow... So she was the shadow's shadow but also still trapped in the dime? How the hell does that work?
Camden Russell
>Lena was made 15 years ago and who knows what her physical age is supposed to be? Oh yeah, that's queer.. I guess she doesn't age? Is she legal?
Hudson Mitchell
>Della lost to the gay space rock bummer
Ryan Cooper
Blame the retarded tumblrinas. Magica would've had a better chance at winning.
>One of the board artists also made a thread about how rabid LGBT shippers make it harder to get actual canon LGBT characters in shows What a foolish desire. Reasons why such things don't work are right there in front of them and yet they are blind to them.
Justin Murphy
This is about that "ms co" thing riht? What even is that, it seems to be posted in just about any thread with a female. why is it supposed to be a big deal? Is this something that came about a year or two ago or what?
Cameron Lewis
It's about the principle of the matter.
Brody Ortiz
You fucks didn't even help Lena get in the door.
Grayson Taylor
Fuck Della. Fuck Daisy. Fuck Magica. Fuck every other girl. Lena is Donald's true wife.
>implying shadows can get pregnant Assuming Lena's anatomically correct, she could sleep around as much as she wants and never did a disease or pregnant.
Joshua Russell
>implying Lena can't get pregnant and impregnate others
Kayden Morgan
The Caballeros returning and Daisy's introduction means we'll at least get two episodes where Donald plays a major part. If we're really lucky, he'll also be a major player in the episodes with Goofy and Chip and Dale. It'd be fucking hilarious if the whole time Chip and Dale are trying to do some Rescue Ranger stuff, they keep making trouble for Donald and ultimately he saves the day without even realizing what was happening.
Michael Phillips
>"The only person I ever managed to bunk with was my brother, and we fought constantly."
Brandon Taylor
She made friendship bracelets for the nephews and Violet.
>He's completely caught off guard when Lena kisses him in front of all of nearly his entire family, because of "advice" given to her by Webby She could play that off as being a lonely teen. >taking advice from Webby
Joseph Flores
You kidding? Footie pajamas feel awesome to sleep in. I wish I had some adult sized ones.
>She could play that off as being a lonely teen. At least until she involves tongue.
Luis Garcia
t. Dewey
Jacob Bailey
Damn I need to catch up, I'm only past the Christmas episode.
Joseph Smith
>color coded them and everything >also a little callback to their first meeting when she mocked them for it The shadow girl is better at showing friendship than any of them.
Joshua Jenkins
All of them are probably the only friends she ever had too.
If only there were a grumpy but big-hearted Duck who had recently been freed from his previous responsibility as Sole and single Father of 3 who had knowledge of troubled teens, having been one once, and just happened to have spare room in his houseboat. Oh well to bad no such character exists, better just say she lives with the most superflous character now off screen on twitter, Thanks Angones.
I want to think she made it to Duckberg riding with friends she made at concerts. They had other places to be but her contact list is full of punks, goths, and deadbeats. Donald has to fill out the adoption forms.
Jaxon Nguyen
Shoving Lena and Donald to the background together while the rest of the cast go on adventures is not a good fate for either
Ryder Brown
What are the chances the buzzards are the reason why none of Della's transmissions made it to Scrooge?
Jaxson Nguyen
>Angones said he'd like to see a Scrooge-Donald episode in the future. There wasn't a Don Rosa comic where Scrooge admits he envy Donald's life? That would be a good point.
Since DW isn't a main character in Ducktales, I wouldn't mind if they actually portrait him and Morgana already in a relationship and raising Gosalyn. It saves the trouble, since they couldn't not show how it happened.
Also, have Morgana actively avoiding to go to Duckburg to not start a magic war with Magica.
Jayden Ross
>Lena and Donald can't go on adventures at home It's like you don't want an episode of them hitting up swap meets for vintage records, band shirts or a soundproofing the houseboat. Or an episode that's Lena trying to get her driving permit and they have to spend all day at the DMV. Fuck I'll take an episode where it's Donald and Lena going on a roadtrip to see a concert and they both agree their old lineup was better.
Jose Kelly
At least it allows for them to have implicit interactions and an arc off screen, instead of being stuck in character development limbo until their next focus episode.
I’ll be honest, Nu-Ducktales as made it clear that there’s a snowball’s chance in hell of either character getting their due. I’m just fighting for table scraps at this point.
Xavier Perry
Lena is one of their precious OCs, so they'll do her justice even though they rushed through the "her being Webby's shadow" plot.
Nathan Nelson
Italian authors did find a loophole: she's not abusive when it's not about their relationship.
...basically they work better as Friends-with-Benefits
Aiden Cooper
They literally shoved her offscreen for most of the Second Season, and elaborated on her living conditions in an offhand Twitter post. She’s basically the Kids’ Donald. If that’s what they considered “doing justice” then I hate to see what they have planned for Darkwing.
Joshua Parker
But her episode was honestly the best episode of the season.
Cooper Murphy
And Donald’s was the best episode of the First season. Doesn’t mean he wasn’t done dirty there.
Dylan Martin
Lena already got a shitload of focus in S1. If anything just be thankful that she didn't spend the rest of the series in the shadow realm despite being a show OC
Camden Mitchell
We'll probably get - ugh - Violet episodes in season three.
Jordan Ward
>Donald and Lena go on a road trip to see a concert >Goofy gives Donald some advice on how to avoid trouble on these kinds of trips
Xavier Bennett
Nah, they'll be Webby or Lena episodes with Violet playing a supporting role
Jaxson Stewart
>Lena is one of their precious OCs So they say, but what they show is they forgot about her, Scrooge's promise to her, and her so called friends didn't grieve for a second before celebrating Magica running off.
Liam Young
>Check the map, Lena
Luis Gonzalez
Hortense brought him home to meet her parents, and the castle vanished for another fifteen years. Then they decided to make it a "weekend" at the castle and when they left it on the morning of day four, 60 years had passed and it was like 1980.
Nolan Hill
>hey guys ready for more one note villians, epic cameos, and maybe a single plot progression for one (1) character 3 caballeros did more with one season than Ducktales has done in two.
Think Magica was physically traped in the dime while she shared a link with her shadow.
Hunter Sullivan
I wouldn't be surprised if Magica was writing a rubber check there.
Adam Ross
Based You know that user is right
Wyatt Murphy
Peeling off Lena was her last act as she was sucked into the coin. A last-second hail-mary if you will.
Austin Howard
It worked. Technically. Still have no idea why she chose to give her shadow the form of a 15 year old girl. If Webby didn't exist, I don't think Lena would have been able to free Magica.
Parker Howard
And she lost
Robert Cooper
My guess is that she didn't put a lot of thought into it, but that Lena might be able to worm her way into Scrooge's household as a baby-sitter for Della's kids. Then Della vanished and the kids went off with Uncle Donald and that plan went up in smoke, and she just had Lena wait for the eclipse and try to figure something out.
Brandon Adams
Thought Scrooge would be less suspicious about a kid?
Chase Powell
Mein Neger! Ma's the best!
Joshua Miller
Dewey wouldn't need adult sized tho
Connor Cook
What characters do they even really like Webby and the Triplets are corporate-mandated so not them
Angel King
They clearly like Della. They're very proud of what they've done with her.
Oliver Gomez
Somehow I see Rockerduck being a Duck version of Mr Burns. Completely out of touch old guy who still uses 19th century terms and still invests in old businesses like rubber tree farms, and radioactive wrist watches.
Jonathan Phillips
Not anymore, Scrooge owns Waddle since Glomtales
Ryan Rogers
so, Italian Scrooge?
Charles Edwards
Well hes still Frozen, he'll have to get updated on what has changed.
Things were easier when she really was Magica's niece.
Samuel Nelson
The aunt/niece thing never made sense given their relationship. Lena should have called her mom and Magica should have disliked that.
Logan Stewart
Neat.
Nathaniel Ross
That's precisely why Magica would have told her "I'm your aunt!"
Wyatt Gonzalez
It really does look like the shadow thing was a later retcon. Early interactions has Magica acting like Lena was really her family
Elijah Torres
Why would Magica tell her? She was using the family angle to manipulate her ("I'm all you've got") so why would she risk burning that option by telling her she's actually a shadow?
Jace Ortiz
Why wouldn’t a shadow be obedient? Seems strange. Lena should have obeyed her every command, no lies needed.
Dylan Barnes
>Why wouldn’t a shadow be obedient? She obviously has free will. Magica's control from inside the dime was tenuous as best. Appealing to her loneliness was the best option. Appeal to authority against a rebellious teenage punk rock fan, when you have basically nothing to back that authority up with because you're trapped inside an object and literally cannot escape without her help would be a stupid plan even for Magica de Spell.
Jacob Brooks
She clearly didn’t treat Lena well, especially near the end, so Lena never had any real love for Magica. If what you say is true it seems she only carried out the ruse partially. If Magica did more to make Lena love her she may not have betrayed her.

Why doesn't the S.E.C. arrest Glomgold and Beaks?
Daniel Thomas
Wait, didn't Lena have a line in season one about how after she helps Magica she'd be set free or something? Or left alone? If Magica was playing up the aunt/niece thing, why did she then make demands and force Lena to help her through magic?
Andrew Bell
>Why wouldn’t a shadow be obedient? Seems strange. Lena should have obeyed her every command, no lies needed. Teens don't follow rules.

Magica can be cunning, but not particularly bright, and she always manages to shoot herself in the foot.

Actually, while Rockerduck's popularity comes almost entirely from the Italian comics, he's still an American character as he's been created by Barks.
Matthew Lewis
after being a teen for 15 years with no previous memories of the first 14 years of her life i'm sure she caught on
