I only knew him from the movies (Boo Brothers, Reluctant Werewolf, Ghoul School) and I never actually hated him. Scrappy showed a lot of initiative that was necessary with Fred or Velma absent and he was willing to be directly confrontational with the villains which felt pretty refreshing compared to the rest of Mystery Inc. I just wished his voice wasn't so grating.
