Yeah, she was the result of some aliens abducting a husband and wife, and the wife becoming pregnant in the process with a half-alien baby.
They were afraid of her and chained her in the basement. Eventually they had an argument of some kind, probably over whose turn it was to go down and feed her or something, and it turned into a murder-suicide upstairs, and officer Dragon was called in when the cops got a glimpse of a monster chained in the basement.
She was mostly raised by TV, which combined with a half-alien mind means she's a bit off in the head compared to a normal human.
She's done pretty well since then, joined an international superhero team, got married, had a freaky little daughter.
Then again, she lost her husband and almost got raped by a demon, but at least there she was saved in time.
