Remember when WOLFMAN JACK had a cartoon show?
It didn't last but 3 episodes. Not even YT has them.
This was supposed to be the Riverdale characters as superheroes, but Filmation lost the rights.
Dude I loved the Roswell Conspiracies
Who?
Meatballs & Spaghetti, a toon about a rock band lead by a Meatloaf allegory and his wifey who has the shortest shorts ever drawn on a cartoon character.
Wolfman was a 70's DJ and radio personality.
Spider Riders was great.
Can't remember much of Dragon Booster and Roswell Conspiracies.
What was Legend of the Dragon about?
It was a pretty based show, very x-files/MiB like
Hanna Barbera presents CASPER THE FRIENDLY GHOST with...a couple of future space cops.
Each zodiac sign has it’s own temple where they choose a zodiac warrior who gains animal powers, Jackie Chan combined with Avatar
Why?
Fuck I vaguely remember that. It was absolutely terrible!
>UP FROM THE DEPTHS
>30 STORIES HIGH
>BREATHING FIRE
>HIS HEAD IN THE SKY
Cartoons about celebrities are not rare but a radio DJ? That's just so strange.
CBC used to greenlight all sorts of weird.
>he thinks only he remembers this
How now are you?
Seaweed monster episode fucked me up
I remember dragon booster. Even had a toy when I was younger
Wolfman Jack was a pretty big deal back in the day, when radio was a much bigger thing. The notion of him getting a cartoon isn't that weird, what's weird is that they waited until the 80's long after his prime to do it.
goth looks cute what is this?
Ed Grimley had a short lived cartoon.
The Tazmanian Devil had his own spin-off show once.
I had the happy meal toys for it
Not even obscure for Warner Bros. standards.
Hanna Barbera was throwing literally everything at the wall.
Same
I remember Spider riders, buuuuuuuuut I also remember Kids WB stopped showing it after an episode involving some guy hunting his sister and her purple spider.
Later I found out it was shipped off to the 6AM weekday time slot to die.
Captain Simian and the Space Monkeys
James Avery voiced the large monkey.
Yeah, By the 80's we had home recordings and so people weren't so dependent on radio to find music
Seen this one too, the blue haired girl had so many ass shots
Seen some episodes of this and had a torrent of the full thing
What the fuck?
apparently they'll release a 3rd season dont know when
Spider riders was anime if i recall.
Okay, here's a hard one that has been bothering me for YEARS.
It was some school where there was a class of kids who had to deal with some other kid who had this Phantom of The Opera thing going on and hid away in some room with machines that could basically bend reality and gave him the power to change the school however he wanted like making it underwater or whatever. I think the kid looked kind of like the Hamburglar, or at least he sounded like him?
All I remember is one episode where he was doing something to the school with the goal of getting back a handheld game that the teacher had confiscated from him in the past.
I think the show aired on Sunday morning or CBS, NBC, or some other local channel, so I only ever saw it a handful of times. Might have been on the same block as The Book of Virtues cartoon (anther obscure thing if you ask me) , but I can't remember anything else.
What It's Like Being Alone. The animation is better than the writing deserves, but Aldous a best girl.
It was based as fuck and Tim Curry made the most of it.
Looked it up The Book of Virtues was PBS, so I don't think it as the same network after all.
Flying Rhino Junior High
THAT'S IT!
Yea Forums had to tell me what this one was called, it bothered me for years because it seemed like it aired for less than a year. This had McDonald's toys. Did anyone watch this?
I swear, you guys are fucking wizards with this shit. Or you're autistic.
European shows always have new episodes when you least expect them
Does Class of the Titans count? I remember it airing at midnight with all the other weird stuff on Qubo
And with that, I have found the episode too.
youtube.com
>Dragon Booster
>Motherfucking Spider Riders
My peanut butter and jam
I had legos of this wtf
Warren Buffet's Secret Millionaire's Club is only a few years old and technically still airing, yet I doubt anyone remembers it exists.
It's still airing on Qubo, for the five people who actually watch it.
I had the blue guy
Never knew what it came from.
>HERE COMES THE GRUMP!
>HERE COMES THE GRUMP!
>HERE COMES THE GRUMP!
youtube.com
loved this when I was a kid
Lego created the show cause they thought a Power rangers styled fantasy show would save their at the time sinking ship...then Bionicle happened and this was sent out to pasture.
This is just a commercial.
spider riders was my fav as a kid. i actually went to school dressed as Hunter for halloween in like 5th grade
Did anyone say VanPires yet?
I remember all 4 of those shows.
Spider Riders is an anime, and its not that unpopular
animation-wise this shit was identical to The Dragon Prince even though it was made more than a decade before, one would have expected a bigger graphical improvement on not-movie CG animation
What's the name? I remember this one actually
Corneil and Bernie
Kino.
What about a cartoon that not even you remember until coming across a random clip?
It's seriously so obscure that I only saw it mentioned once or twice in the /c/ archive and there's no porn despite the top tier girls
They did novels and at least comic sequel, but I don't think they were ever translated.
>no frame rate drop
I retire what I say, it is actually leagues ahead of The Dragon Prince
I member
a show about zombies?
was it Canadian?
Yeah, it was part of an anthology called Funpak.
Unfortunately, it lost to Sidekick.
And then they had to kill it, and we're stuck with tons of Coronation Street and re-runs of Marketplace.
Is this the prequel to Skylanders?
This looks familiar
Holy fuck I watched this all the time! Had some of the McDs toys as well as some of the ones pictured here.
Dragon Booster should've gotten the sequel it deserved, and Spider Riders had a kick ass theme song
>CALLING ALL SPIDER RIDERS
youtu.be
still waiting for Amazon, FedEx, UPS, and USPS to get to this level
I remember watching the spider one, and seeing unimpressive ads for the dragon one
Completely unrelated, I remember there was a movie called Sky Soldiers, Aero Soldiers or something. I legit thought it was the prequel of Skyland because both had some weird CGI. though the movie was more realistic and gritty.
I can remember there being some flying suits whiich were white with bat wongs under the rms
NVM found it, any "grit" may be in my memories or the actual movie (Which had some weird Gauss lighting IIR)
Also, Latin American Nick Cine was a dumpoing ground of obscure CGI movies, there was this one, another about some guy made out of garbage, and a very crappy one about talking cats (the latter 22 may be the same I'm not sure). And to make matters more bizarre, some were dubbed with heavy Spaniard accents.
Anyone know more?
Dinky Di's
Back when Crocodile Dundee was 'It Thing' in American and they even made a kids cartoon to capitalise on it's success. Japan even has one called Snoozles about girl who every night would get visited by mysterious koala who would dress her up and disguise her as giant koala so he could then take her away to magical koala world where he was from. I only remember it because Rick and Morty recently made fun of it with Summer.
The thing with the blue shapeshifting newt. I only saw one episode once while on vacation, and at the time I thought the newt was an Aladdin genie.
Ned's Newt. One of the first series shown on Teletoon.
Where my eastern European bros at
No one but me has watched this show
I remember that one cartoon about a batman-esque heroine who wore a suit with cape. Her symbol or logo was a black questionmark on yellow ground. Her archnemesis was some kind of zombie. Anyone knows what I mean? It used to run in German in the saturday morning cartoon run.
>Cartoons about celebrities are not rare but a radio DJ? That's just so strange.
I think it might have been because Lucas put him into American Graffiti and that movie was a huge hit in the late 70s, so by the early 80s it might have seemed like a fun idea. Or they were just flailing around for ideas like when they made that Happy Days cartoon where Fonzie has a time machine.
I saw few episodes of this years ago.
2006 was also the year they aired the ill-fated Hatching, Matching and Dispatching, a show in which Shaun Majumder fucks a dead deer.
I had some episodes of this on an VHS.
It's not that obscure unless you're a zoomer.
It was a dark time in LEGO. The brief period when they thought kids didn't like building blocks anymore.
>I'M NOT SO GRUMP
fuck now I remember this. One of the few shows I had completely forgotten about, I guess.
After Super Robo Atomic Ninja Rabbit I am always suspicious of such revelations.
I was really surprised to learn who Louie Anderson is. I wondered why a random fat man would get a cartoon series.
Learning that real Andy was an alcoholic monster was heart breaking
Remember Heavy Gear, it's endless Tournament arc and all the broken dreams that came with it?
Hanna Barbara's My Hero Academia.
This just looks like Invander Zim guy messing around.
this had some absolutely stunningly beautiful background art by this guy who's name eludes me right now. it really looked fantastic. it's probably on his portfolio if you feel like going on a google adventure
> what if
> "dice"?
And Godzoooookyyy
Pookie bait
I doubt any of you remember this Peach-looking tart and the show she's from
m.youtube.com
For years I thought this cartoon was crap, then I watched it. It was really good.
I started watching it with no expectations at all and I was pleasantly surprised
CALLING ALL SPIDER RIDERS
Saw one episode where the main character was being chased in a warehouse looking hangar by star wars aliens. Never got into it and it was gone after one airing on fox kids
Holy shit I saw this on a cruise once, always wondered what it was
It has the weird asthetics going on with it. Also Season 2 Kyra > Season 1.
Yeah, I thought it would be just like an ATLA ripoff but turns out it has a really decent world-building.
They are called Doodlez for a reason.
I recall seeing it on jetix. Season 2 with those celestial guardians and the giant purple guy felt like a pipe dream.
This was a good cartoon. The first season was better than the second.
the buttchild of EEnE and cow&chicken
>> It had Mark Evanier, Walter Murphy, and Norman Lear behind it.
>> Sadly short-lived an unavailable due to Sony Pictures
m.youtube.com
I thought this came out in the 90's
There was a 90s Zorro cartoon, but so far only eight of the episode's have resurfaced in English.
... That just sounds like its teaching kids to launder money overseas
Fantomette?
Literally took decades for me to identify this.
I'm pretty sure this was just trying to be a slightly more kid-friendly version of south park, but christ everything in it is horrible
and from the same guy behind Robotboy.
james gunn was high and got his guardians inspiration from this
I remember this. It was from the guy behind "Robin" wasn't it?
There was this cartoon about teenagers hanging around their hometown that started out as random shenanigans. Then these bad guys showed up and kidnapped the MCs love interest for some reason and the MC + the rest of his friends had to travel all over the world and across multiple dimensions fighting these villains to save the love interest.
I can't remember this show's name but I know that it had an animesque art style.
I remember I had an idea for a reboot of that show ratling round my brain
>Hairy Scary is Casper's tutor, trying to get him to stop being so gosh-darn nice
>Space Angels travel back in time to put right what once went wrong
>due to shenanigans, Casper and Hairy go back to the future with the girls, cutting Casper off from his uncles because timey-wimey bullshit
>one episode ends with Casper going "They're jerks, but they're also my family"
>shot of his uncles at a loss without their favourite punching bag/nephew
>give the Angels more in-depth personalities, with character arcs and shit
>Angels technology based around the freaky angels your Bible Studies teacher "forgot" to tell you e.g. Arariel water cannon, Jeduthun sonic blaster, etc.
>one episode where they visit a planet of magic users, led by a wise All-Witch dressed in red
>Casper recognises her at once
>one episode where Hairy Scary is genuinely terrifying, but afterwards goes "Hoo-hoo! That was fun! Say, what's for lunch?"
>time gets unfucked, Casper is reunited with his uncles... who immediately treat him like shit
>Casper takes it on the chin, and starts singing to himself "Be it ever so humble, there's no place like home..."
>cue the uncles trying not to D'AAAWWWW
Roswell was a great show, far better than what young me expected. Ill always remember those useless battle jeeps.
you'd think that with all the money warren buffet has he'd invest just a little more into making the show look good
Bitch.
This cartoon was good.
There was this show about a group of teenagers traveling around and fighting this reoccurring villain that was red (I think) and adapted to his environment so each episode he had a slightly different design depending on the setting. I can't for the life of me remember the name only that Evolution was a word used a lot. there was also this other show involving the zodiac and these magic armbands that let the MC transform into a superhero but the name escapes me
Alienators: Evolution Continues and Legend of the Dragon.
holy shit, I forgot this existed. Whats the name of the show again?
holy shit that was fast, thanks a lot.
hot wheels battle force 5
thanks, it just reminded me of another one I used to watch. I think they were movies thou
I fucking LOVED this show. My aunt had Disney channel back in the 90s and recorded 3 Cobiaros followed by this 4 hour marathon of Here comes the Grump.
There is a cgi movie that came out in 2018 but for some reason they changed the NA name to A Wizard's Tale.
I'm tired of seeing Kabbalah on every board, hurts my tiny brain, and that angel tech sounds jut like that.
Here, read the mango
mediafire.com
Nah, this'd be more neat little easter eggs, like a label on a button and it does a sci-fi thing that sort of ties into the Biblical reference: the kind of crap where somebody observant enough would Google it and go "Ohhh... that's neat"
Also, amazing dubs. The trips on the end really tie it together.
Fffffffffffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck, I remember AcceleRacers
Not sure how obscure it is, but I never see this discussed here.
Explains that Reggie Mantle looking motherfucker.
Is this from Portugal or Brazil?
I still need to make a Dagobong to this day.
I came here to post this and W.I.T.C.H.
I only know about this because of Rebeltaxi
I remember thinking that this had a crossover with Thundercats when I was young. Turns out I was just retarded.
The website for this was still active on the Lego website but it was kinda hidden. I just stumbled upon it one day when i was browsing through the Lego website
Doesn't get nearly enough love. Daily 1AM viewings of this got me through a particularly shitty year.
The running gags still get me
This mostly gets mentions in "Great Openings" threads, but I don't remember much of the show itself.
Everyone knows this as the only good western magical girl cartoon but the comic was better.
It's about four power ranger.....mummies that awaken to serve the reincarnation of a pharaoh in the modern day. They have a car and magic powers. The female one gave me many young erections.
It's hard to get more early 2000s than evangelical Christian CGI shonen.
These fuckers.
My understanding is that this is to the Stargate franchise what Next Mutation is to TMNT.
And then this thing, which starred the bass guitarist for The Who.
The need for money can force one to do some pretty low things, it seems.
ARE YOU READY FOR THE RACE OF A LIFE TIME
also final movie never ever
it still hurts bros
FUCK. I thought this shit was some kind of fever dream.
Ugh, I have to deal with numerology now
Book of Virtues was quite somehing
While we're on the topic of Hot Wheels, remember the time they tried to rip off Transformers?
Wait what!? This had a tv show!? I thought it was just audio cds chick fil a gave out.
The villain was at least a hugely amusing asshole.
I used to watch this on Sundays on UPN. Ah memories....
Used to love watching this with my kid bro, Changed Daily's code names each episode had young me rolling.
The 700 Club confused this show for X-MEN on their report on violent cartoons
I remember this as one of the saturday morning cartoons which indicated it was time to do something outside. Aside from disliking it, all I remember now is thinking the villain who was a car clown robot with balloon animal limbs was dumb as fuck.
Warren Buffet has a fucking cartoon? What?
yeah, tips for future billionaires, I can already imagine morals of the episodes:
"Never sell flamethrowers and never post on twitter when on weed. Oh, and when you rape a whore, make sure to pay her enough hush money so she never comes forward with the truth."
I don't think you understand. Issue is not that Dragon Prince animation didn't improve in ten years, the deal is that Skyland has a masterpiece level CG animation for 2005.
Even today you can rarely see cel-shading this good, and in 2005 it straight up didn't exist.
Hell, look at cinematic films from 2005 - this has better animation than Chicken Little and Valiant, both released in cinemas the very same year this show aired!
They made the music video for Paranoid Android into a show?
I remember when they made a cartoon out of pretty much any movie back in the day.
Here is one no one probably remembers or saw Da Mob. It was on on Fox family Sunday morning cartoon block.
Isn't this that novel series by Linkara where a catgirl gets raped?
the problem with CG animation is that it never ages well most of the time, even the original Toy Story does not look that great now. And there's stuff like Beast Wars that is visually unbearable by today standards by got many wards for it's visuals.
>This mostly gets mentions in "Great Openings" threads, but I don't remember much of the show itself.
Imagine something akin to Street Sharks, except with mummies. And all of the villains draw from Egyptian myth (and are surprisingly well researched for such a dumb cartoon).
Other than this I don't recall any of the stuff here in the thread.
Good guess that's what happens when you don't live in the USA.
Are any of them hidden gems?
>Let's Boogie!
>Let's Dance!
Hell yeah. I still have yet to finish a single episode of this but no theme song will ever come close to being as funky as this one
>but got
fixed
I even had an idea for an RPG based off this where you eat the different types of food to improve your stats each fight
I literally, and I mean literally, only remember this show because I was watching TV with bad reception one day while on vacation. Over the credits of whatever I was watching, they said "stay tuned for Bots Master". The sound was so bad I heard "Fox Master" and thought Fox had put their name on some cartoon. Hell, I don't even think any of my local stations bothered airing this.
It had a rat thing that would say oisky poisky. And an island which was like a moving island volcano of animals.
I remember being oddly invested in this when it aired on Jetix.
I remember that show! The sexual tension between Rocko the Gorilla and Wombera the Kangeroo was weird.
Before anyone starts, it was originally made for America.
describe pls
Probably my favourite cartoon.
youtube.com
By Magnus Carlsson.
Project Geeker
I've seen 3 out of 4 of those.
So you're not literally the only one who remembers it and your thread is already a meme.
I used to love this cartoon for some reason despite the shitty local dub.
wasnt this cartoon made by the same crew who did Totally Spies?
I fucking hate this shit. Both the adults and the child version.
It came at a GREAT cost and I can't forgive it for that
Loved this.
From about the same period, but not a movie series:

L's voice really had me diamonds.
Good old North American wildlife.
that one Australian cartoon about a bunch of 90's extreme anthropomorphic animals fighting for the environment or something like that
A stage magician who can use real magic fighting crime in a futuristic city. Complete with sidekick with 90s lingo, AI controlled train and a card game themed crime boss.
Faint memories of this one.
Not a cartoon, but there's this one kids show whose identity I can't seem to place. It was half-live action and half-puppets, the main character was a giant green dragon, and the one scene I remember was him conversing with a librarian with glasses while the two of them were rhyming for some reason. It aired on WOSU (Columbus's PBS station) in the hours between those early-morning edutainment shows and Sesame Street in the late mornings in the late '90s/early '00s, and I can say with certainty that it was NOT Eureeka's Castle.
Noah and Rocko were voiced by Ron Moody. If you don't know who that is, it's this guy:
Not a cartoon but, had some bad mid 90's CGI
butt ugly martians
> ITT Cartoons that LITERALLY ONLY YOU remember
>post fuckin Foot 2 Rue
dude everyone remembers this
everyone remembers this one too
Fuck yeah it's lazer time
>The complete first season
It never had a second season.
>ctrl+f
>"Nightmare Ned"
>0 results
It wasn't that great, but barely anyone remembers it. Aired for a year, maybe 2, never got reran as far as I can tell. Don't think it got any home video releases either.
Oh, and that 12 days of christmas animated short from 1993 that aired then and pretty much never again. At least it's on youtube.
The blue guy looks like he is fucking that horse.
kids, you remember that hit tune Paradise By The Dashboard Light from before you were born? No? Well, here's a parody cartoon about the one-hit- wonder who sang it.
the theme song was catchy as hell, at least.
it was great.
I'd love to see someone run a stream of these lesser known shows. Hell at this point atomic betty belongs in these threads.
This is upsetting now, as I really like the superteens. What are the chances we could have seen the MLJ heroes show up had filmation kept the rights?
Okay here's one I'm not entirely sure was real. I only ever saw the trailer for it on what I think was the discovery channel. It was a girl going to get water late at night and she couldn't find her parents. She gets to the kitchen where the light is on and gets water from the refrigerator. Then she gets attacked or gets possessed by something.
I've never been able to find it.
Italy. It was made by onw of the main Italian Disney artists, Romano Scarpa.
I swear these kinds of shows get mass produced somewhere. They always annoyed me too, because at the end of the day it felt like you were watching a watered down amalgamation of a dozen different things. Eon Kid is the worst offender of this, because it predates shit like the astroboy movie, the new megaman show, and iron man armored adventures but feels like a rip off of all three. It's the animated equivalent of store brand candy or something.
Yeah it's pretty sad. I liked it but I guess it was pretty forgettable in the sea of 90s action cartoons which took place in the distant future of the year 2005.
Give me the run down on this show user. Looks indistinguishable from roswell mysteries
great opening
wasn't the villain called Umbra?
and the little cute control freak robot was Ono and was always saying "oh, no!" and was probably a reference to Yoko.
that's all I remember but great animation. prob '84.
>tfw rights bullshit combined with it's failed toyline basically deemed the series dead forever
It's unfair, it's a really good watch.
I don't remember the name of the cartoon but in the mid 90s, I remember watching a cartoon in which the main characters were some cloud police force with flying cars. The characters looked human but fuck me if I remember anything else about it except for the main character wearing a helmet
Jane and the Dragon, I think.
Was it a cartoon? Because what you're describing sounds like an episode of the Haunting Hour.
Holy shit, I just thought about asking whether anyone here knows about Kangoos or SOS Croco. Watched both of these as a kid all the time here in Germany. Never knew that Kangoos was a french cartoon though
>90s Zorro cartoon
I fucking dare you to find a better purely instrumental intro of a cartoon. I dare you motherfuckers
youtu.be
The greatest saturday morning anime , buried by the outright collapse of it's network Paramount TV.
>dice
You sure this is not supposed to be a cartoon for black kids?
I raise you one better Vail(l)ant
youtu.be
If not for the dog shit cgi, I feel as though this would have been more memorable. I like the concept well enough.
Reminds me of pic related, what are the chances of benjy entering the mcu now that spidey's gone?
That's Lightbringer.
This cartoon becomes weird when you start overthinking it.
>Supposedly based on an Italian book, but the only thing in common between the cartoon and the book is that there are some kids playing soccer on the street and some of the characters
>Italian dub calls it the same as the book and keeps the character names from the book to try keeping it tied up, but in Season 2 it drops the title because it was becoming too much its own thing
>Later they made a CGI sequel to this (Extreme Football) with the MC from the original series as the only returning character (he mentors a new team of kids whose captain is his stepbrother)
>The Italian dub stopped bothering changing his name, so if you live in Italy you don't get they're supposed to be the same character
He said live action and puppets. Jane and the Dragon was CGI.
Plus it was 2005, I'm looking for something in the 1999-2000 range.
Beverly Hills Teen Club
totally awesome opener and theme music
youtube.com
some more opening art
Nice cropping.
I remember it being extensively advertised in Disney Adventures but never seeing it air. Maybe my local Fox affiliate never picked it up or something.
I played that one flash game based on it.
oh shit I remember this!
This cartoon was great.I wish all of the episodes were available in english. Most of the episodes on the internet are in some Russian dub.
I always assumed this was an anime, not an abundance cartoon. I barely remember what This show was about.
This is the one with the kids who had transforming and combining dinosaur robots or am I confusing it with Dinozaurs?
thanks bro
That Legend of the Dragon one seems to have both a catgirl waifu and a snek waifu. If it was made now we would make so much lewds.

I remember watching the Grimm Fairy Tales animated show on Nickelodeon back when I was in Elementary school, maybe along with Eureeka's Castle and Gullah Gullah Island. Although checking out Google, Eureeka's Castle ended it's run before I started elementary school, so maybe it was just reruns that I caught.
This was the one with the live action magic acts at the end of every show right and the villains were a brother and sister duo, I think.
Do these count? Might Max and Mummies Alive!?

>This was the one with the live action magic acts at the end of every show right and the villains were a brother and sister duo, I think.
YES! I remembered it mostly because it had a number of magic gems each with a different power, and that kind of collect the powers always appealed to me.
>Do these count? Might Max and Mummies Alive!?
Mighty Max maybe but Mummies Alive we had a nice thread some time ago.
We have Chaotic threads semi-regularly, it's not a forgotten show, at least not around here.
If the rest of the show looked like this, I would have definitely watched more than one episode.
i remember this one, was on tv here in the Netherlands but for some reason they kept changing the time it aired weekly plus they didn't realy air them in order
There's only one season and it actually aired in primetime. It was created and produced by Spielberg. There are two alien brothers one of which wants to invade and rule earth and the other doesn't. There's a civil war about it and the brother who doesn't want to kill us all escapes his home planet and comes here. He has a kid with a human girl on earth then books it back to his planet to organize a resistance. Time skip and the kid is now a teenager thinking he's a normal human dude. The kill-y uncle finds him and the rest of the series is about the kid running, fighting bad aliens, and discovering who he really is.
yeah season 2 with the altered time line was rather lame compared to season 1
only the brainslug episode was good.
for the rest this was a below average cartoon with barely likable characters
youtube.com
no one remembers this
I think about this show any time I'm in the fruit section of the grocery store, due to its weird plot point about plums being the wisest of the fruits.
Holy shit thank you I asked my parents to rent this once at a Hollywood Video and forgot the name
I watched this too as a child, along with David the Gnome, both of which are deeply nostalgic and really strange how after not seeing them for 20 years they still seem familiar in strange ways.
There are great DVD rips of David, but none of Grimm out there. I've heard of Japanese DVDs out and about but no one has uploaded any. Someday when I go I'll try to track them down and bring them back to upload raw.
Can you believe this cartoon based off one of the Most Classic of Buddy Animal movies, had a villain who's Cyborg with his Army of Sludge Monsters and the only ones who can stop him and his polluting ways is a small team of Marine Biologists and a Boy that can talk to sea creatures with the Indian Magic of the Truth Talker?
also, they only have the Second Season on YouTube, they had the First Season on there for a little while (and I was lucky to watch it all) but then it just got deleted I don't think you can find the first season of this show anywhere else
this is the most brilliant thing I've watched all year
I don't remember much from Mighty Max and Mummies Alive!? But I did watch a couple of their episodes like in the morning before school or if there was no school. I think there was one episode in the Mighty Max show where the lead character said he was going to be a weapon against one of his friend's opponents.
I've never heard of David the Gnome. Was it on Nickelodeon? I remember there was even a show about a family of beavers or platypus.
Buddy, Spider Rids and LotD were my favs growing up.
Jesus Christ did nobody have Jetix as a kid?
I'm pretty sure a disproportionate amount of Yea Forums has seen this. OP and ED by Yoko Kanno (Bebop) and background music by Taku Iwasaki (TTGL) was all it took to get me to watch it.
Grimm Fairy tales was dubbed uncut from the japanese version in latin america for some strange (and wonderful) reason.
I loved this cartoon. Maybe it gets rebooted someday. There is a lot they could do with the setting and lore.
You latinos got all the good shit. I'm mad jealous.
I swear that Dick Clark produced this.
What about Phantom 2040. A really depressing but well written cartoon. It is so rare that I cant even find the last episode online.
Monworld
Cyber six
Bionic Six
>Spider Riders
I remember that being pretty fuckin' good.
Agreed
>It is so rare that I cant even find the last episode online.
This one?
This shit airs every june in Cartoon Network LA (though I don't remember if they aired it again this year, even though there was a tournament during that month)
I guess it beats that one where Flipper lives in the Pacific with some kid who talks to animals and sometimes there is some evil octopus. I don't remember well if the octopus was a wizard but the good guys had some mystic mentor, there was plenty of magic
youtube.com
>them Godzilla BGM and Sound effects
Noice. It's like BIlly the Mountain in cartoon form
I had this weirdass budget Jetix called Bionix, does that count
Holy shit I finally know the name of this, it haunted me for decades because I could remember only parts of it, the other cartoon I only remember a few details is one that had a guy find a techno cepter and power armor and the villain wanted those for himself or something I don't remember if it was a post apocalyptic show of just techno fantasy though
The skintight suit the MC used was pretty hot
Yes, they also made a Martin Mystere cartoon. Totally Spies ended up obscuring the other two series they did for obvious reasons.
Its because in the past latino countries made deal directly with the japanese companies, thats why there were a lot of anime and toku at the time with zero censoring, but from the late 90s the companies in the US started to buy the rights for distribution on the entire american continent so it fucked everyone else
Apparently the 1 where the villains were rip-offs of the Borg only not extra-terrestrial and there were only 3 of them. The heroes were a rag-tag team that formed together over the first 5 episodes and the main hero and villain were brothers. Might have been yet another imported shitty Yea Forums thing, but nobody on here remembers it regardless.
Legend of the Dick?
bottom right OP image
This shit was the best I loved this as a kid
God bless whoever put them on YouTube for all to see
TV networks couldn't hold an entire season of Chuck Norris
Yeah, there's a reason I completely forgot about that one.
They kept the wrong Newfoundland product around, and way past its expiration date.
It was a cartoon. I know it had to have been around 2005-7 because I seem to recall watching Tutenstein when I saw the trailer.
Those people are lucky, though. They made the most depressing and troll-tastic show from material that could have been the best 80s cartoon ever.
>youtube.com
I was disappointed no one ever dubbed that over some more recent pirate stuff.
>Me: Why does my brother hate me?
>Also me: Let me take up all the VHS time with this and my Annie tape.
My mother threw away most of my video tapes when we got a DVD player, but I wish I could see exactly which episode I had.
i was so disappointed as a kid it never finished
yeah it was on Nick Jr. or whatever it was, earlier in the morning during school hours, iirc.
Also disappointed that her original line was
>Hello-my-baby
, her name was Mass Media, and no one ever made a joke or reference about this later.
I also remember that having "Shining Time Station" which was the originally the introduction to Thomas the Tank Engine in the USA, so Thomas was meant to be a Nick Jr. Nicktoon from the very start, in fact the whole reason it came it Nick Jr. was to promote the the Thomas theatrical movie back in 2000 which has elements of Shining Time Station on it
This cartoon is what taught me that we should stop giving songs their own cartoons.
What is this even from?
First three words of the filename, user.
I still fucking say Oiskey Poiskey
Dudley the Dragon?
I LOVE YOU WHORES
Think they meant this one: youtube.com
I remember thinking Dragon booster was gonna be shit, but that shit was pretty drac.
When I was a kid, I thought it was the Starcraft series.
The series sadly had a open end.
This fucking show
I enjoyed the series even though there were deaths for some of the characters.
Season 2>Season 1>Season 3
I hated this as a kid.
Lavender Castle
Yep, a show I started watching believing it would suck yet somehow got entirely sucked in.
Anyone remember this?
i do
specifically the "flower-power rangers"
