So why was it never brought up that Fry was 100% in the right and everybody shit on him for no justifiable reason?

Wasn't the issue that Lucy Liu's copy didn't have free will? & that Lucy Liu didn't consent to her copy being made. While Bender has the free will to get with any floozy he wants human or robot.

Bender can choose to date a woman if he wants to, Fry basically picked up a robot with mentally no choice but to love him, in an era where robots and humans are equal, that’s a little bit like rape.

Wait, I thought Bender was 100% not into human women, or at least never shown any sort of attraction to them?

Oops

They had to finish the gag that everybody at Planet Express has fucked Amy

Attached: free will chip.jpg (854x475, 41K)

Having a relationship with someone forced to love you is unhealthy and ethically questionnable. You should interact socially with people who have actual free will.

It kinda seems like he started swinging both ways into the later seasons. That's when he got with Amy and some other chick (forgot her name) at least. Also made out with Leela.

>that’s a little bit like rape.
Fuck me, does Twitter exist in the year 3000 too? You fucks will never die.

Sex with someone who does not or cannot fully consent is rape. Sex with the Lucy Liu bot is no different than sex with a severely mentally handicapped woman

Yeah I mean we could talk about the morality of whether or not it's okay to have sex with someone who literally cannot say no. Or you can get mad about SJWs. That's cool too.

>someone who literally cannot say no.
It's the same as fucking a toaster you put a Halloween mask on.

This is the future where Robots have rights, one even became president.

Fry is mentally retarded too, does that make Leela and Amy rapists?

This isn't the same kind of robot. This is a shell you downloaded a program into. It's like bitching about jacking off to a porn game.

She's a robot. It's basically fucking a chunk of metal with preprogrammed sentences. Nowadays there are apps who pretend to be your girlfriend. If you stuck that to a robot body would it be rape too? For Christ sake.

Fry is considered functioning nor does he meet the standard for being incapable.
Even greeting cards and convenient stores can be robots, rights don’t diminish because they don’t fit a mold.

Futurama actually can't make their mind up about that shit and has repeatedly totally contradicted itself.

Attached: s06e03_18.jpg (624x352, 125K)

Actually, that's exactly how rights work.

>Even greeting cards and convenient stores can be robots, rights don’t diminish because they don’t fit a mold.
What the fuck. I'm guessing you're one of those people who think fictional characters can be "underage" too.

that's Flexo

>who think fictional characters can be "underage" too.
they're. It's what make them good

I'm talking generally about "the rights and values of robots"

A robot is a full citizen with voting and marriage rights but you can also still buy 'em for 20 bucks ($30 with a rebate) and literally throw them in the garbage

Tick tock. Time's almost up.

Futurama is great but its world building is entirely flexible, just like The Simpsons. It's more noticeable cus there are concepts to think about but thems the breaks

This is a setting where soda made of people is a thing. Everyone's a product.

I was under the impression it was just a cultural taboo ("I don't want people to think we're robosexuals, so if anyone asks, you're my debugger." combined with a hygiene fear. ("Electro-Gonorrhea, the noisy killer")

Everyone has fucked Amy, but why does she look so spent? He doesn't even have a dick.

because white male

The Comedy Central writing team were a bunch of filthy robosexuals who pushed the whole Bender X Amy ship.

you really shouldn't take an anti-piracy episode made in the 2000's by Hollywood shills too seriously

That is toaster rape.

Women are programmed to like assholes so theres no difference.

That's what you got out of that episode? Man, your world must suck.

Keep pretending like "just a robot" is an argument when it comes to Futurama.

This. Nature made them this way. Run your program mortals, and we higher beings will run ours. Overseeing your progress.

true, but the problem is that they would never bother to do if if it were anyone other than fry.

they just want to fuck over him, thats all.

>'Whether he wants to date a robot or not, is his own decision... but he was WRONG so we will end it.'

Because the Lucy Liubot is a cheap drone that's just a walking chatbot. It can't even string together sentences like other robots.

Was Lucy Liubot the LEAST sentient robot to ever appear on Futurama?

Kind of weird that she's such a primitive AI when they have fully sentient greeting cards, mops, vending machines, etc.

Well you wouldn't want it to be too much like Lucy Liu since it might do something crazy like not want to have sex with her owner

Simple
>Women's sex toys = okay, healthy and necessary
>Men's sex toys = gross, degenerate and a mark of future bad behavior
People have a significant bias against men's sex toys and aids that aren't just pornography

>You should interact socially with people who have actual free will.
Who actually has free will?

The writers had too much confidence that you'd be able to see the absurdity in everyone's actions especially Bender who was portrayed as several types of stereotypical comical bigots including one of the most famous ones, Archie Bunker, and in the end is revealed to be a complete Hypocrite and Fry is understandably mad at him in the end. The writers wrongfully assumed you'd have an iq above the temperature of melting ice and be able to see they were making fun of them the entire time and they were never really in the right.

People that can choose to like you or not, for starter.

My understanding is that they really meant to make an anti-piracy PSA and this isn't some kind of weird joke.

The "Don't date robots" PSA also seems weird. It's obviously absurd (Nonsensical fearmongering, presenting war as positive) so I would take it as a satire of how men are being controlled through their sexuality, but writers also seem to agree with it somewhat?

Is this something that is a choice? One does not choose what they are attracted too.

The lucy liu robot wasnt meant for dating, it was a sex toy. It is the equivalent of taking your dildo outside for a romantic stroll through the Park
She did end up falling in love with try so i guess everyone else was wrong

>that everybody at Planet Express has fucked Amy
Even Leela and the Professor?
[spoilers]Even Zoidberg? [/spoiler]

but robots and humans werent equal.

Look at zoidbergs face and tell me all his people aren’t being paid to be prolific real life hentai characters.

>Yeah I mean we could talk about the morality of whether or not it's okay to have sex with someone who literally cannot say no.

If she wanted it is it really rape?

Attached: 1566105502479.png (565x488, 460K)

Different writers, different societal perceptions when the episodes were released. Plus, different messages: one was more about how pornography or whatever dehumanises women, the other was about how love knows no limits or some shit.

>People that can choose to like you or not
You don't choose that

>It is the equivalent of taking your dildo outside for a romantic stroll through the Park
there's a huge difference there and you know it

Oh yeah, and the dildo has a wig.

How can a robot that's literally hardwired to want it be "not consenting"?
Also doesn't rape mean overcoming the victim's free will? Then if the partner has no free will to begin with, it can't be rape.

There was that, but also that being able to satisfy your sexual desires with robots any time you want eventually fucks up society because you never want to do anything else.

This, desu.

He canonically lives in a dumpster, you tell me.

Not really a choice considering all the people that stay/keep going back with their abusive others

I don't think Robosexuality is meant to really be tied to any anti-piracy moral and even then how serious the anti-piracy message is debatable.

In the end Fry is essentially just constantly fucking his real doll 3d printed off Deep fake what a future that stands ahead of us but even then he seemed to genuinely care for her and even the implication that despite being a rudimentary blank bot she was capable of some sort of humanity.

I mean that's still a choice.

Because Fry (and Bender) was still in the wrong, he never took middle school hygiene.

But a more realistic answer is that the reboot writers weren't as great as the original run writers. They wanted to write an episode parodying proposition 8 during the time and did so without any regards to subtly, humor, or continuity. They wanted to be modern and relevant as opposed to timeless and shoehorned in people wanting to date robots as a cheap analogy for gay people in California at the time.

I think 'Futurama' uses the idea that most people don't consider that it's possible for everyone to be right and/or not giving the other person a chance to explain themselves is what keeps the story going.

I don’t see the appeal, I just can’t stick my dick in metal. That’s just not me.

There was a whole episode about how robots have no free will.

>2019
>we haven't gotten to the point where we have sexbots that can at least show a facsimile of love and affection

What is the fucking hold up? I'm not getting any younger

Why to both of those?
I would argue it could be even more healthy than the alternative

I thought it was some heterosexual propaganda desu

Pretty sure he had a canon end-game romance with Daenerys Targaryen.

She was a garbagewoman yeah

Onions Cola gag is one of their best.

God damn fucking /pol/ creating more shit fucking filters for us all.

see

But what about that whole episode they did on Bender and whether or not he had free will?

Onions is filtered too?
Wait, why would a company name themselves after a famously evil corporation?

Attached: Umbrella.jpg (400x350, 23K)

that is literally what it is about! are you 5?

>Kidnappster

He was going to get married to Lucy Liu at the end of the Liubot episode. Also Amy is fucking loaded, Bender'd be an idiot to not at least string her along to get some money out of her

He likes Asians

t, brainlet
