id reccomend if you start dating a girl who looks like the one in the brown dress that you have your fun and then run before she piles on the weght.
Four tet
Has to be modern? If not 90s big beat
I feel like those types of beats is not fit for that kind of song structure. The usual 4 on the floor house beat constricts a song, atleast that's what I think.
Saint Ettiene
Caribou
uhhhhhh there has to be more
stuff like delorean?
imagine sliding in through the slit...
not the only big bouncy around here amirite????
I can't believe we've come to a time where bloghouse is forgotten.
look at any electronic alt band ~early 2000s.
they all loved playing guitars/synths while throwing the drummer out for a drum machine
soulwax/2manydjs, bloody beetroots, some prodigy songs, lcd soundsystem, XL Recordings... desu I think the sound is due for a revival
Thick.

In Silico was underappreciated at the time. I liked hold your color as much as anyone else, but I think in silico holds up better than the other 2 albums. especially the 3rd one with all the knife party bleed over
pls come back rob you owe us/sony that 4th album
Was considering posting that, always thought it was called dance-punk, maybe they're two different things.
Also nu rave, klaxons etc.
Goddamn I love fat girl titties
i'd kill a man for a fourth pendulum album
also some infected mushroom songs

they were called different things at the time, but since OP wanted house beats I figured they would lean more electronic than rock (like the klaxons/most nu rave stuff)
french music labels like Ed Banger also had some cool records at the time. Justice - cross, sebastiAn remixes, some mr oizo
going even older, NIN and electronic bass music as a whole is a good reference but can be hard to listen to
the big thing here is to run all your synths through guitar pedals and really chop n sample the band. making everything sound more electronic. otherwise you end up with a band sound layered with a cheap microkorg player. a little rise records-y and that is never ok
Literally just listen to Spotify deep house playlists
Listen up marshmallow
Cut Copy maybe?
if the lead vocalist didn't sing in that throwback style I think they would have done a lot better. but a good ref for sure I had forgotten about them
i'm tired of jerking off bros.
Caribou is a good shout, his Daphni side project is straight house
I’d recommend Toro y Moi, very good somgs but maybe more chill than bouncy in some cases

For me it’s the one on the right.

Based thread, this is my favourite type of music. Music that says "I want to have fun, all the ingredients are here for me to have a good time, but I'm actually to fucking pathetic and depressed to really enjoy myself".
Thanks user
literally sitting here pirating a ton of music redoing my collection after my pc kicked the bucket
needed something fun
listen to tweekend by the crystal method... based album and its as big and bouncy as the girl on picrel
Clarence Clarity maybe
imagine dragons - radioactive
God I’m so horny.
I feel like Underworld fits this description but maybe skews too heavily towards house beats. There is definitely a noticeable rock influence in their music however.
i heard something similar about the stone roses s/t until i actually listened to it. it gets a weird association with electronic dance music; in reality it's a straight up indie rock album with danceable rhythms.
>run before she piles on weight
oh no, that's where the fun begins
bump for booba
