I think it’s more filler than good songs. The highs are high, but the lows are lower than the others. Otherwise Piece of Mind might be my second least favourite because I think it’s outclassed by its follow ups.

This but up to Physical Graffiti. Presence has some career-defining highlights, but some of the album feels like the band was retreading ideas, and while In Through the Out Door was very interesting and had it's highlights, it was inconsistent.
1-3 is great. 4 is when they started to falter. 5 is already mostly crap.
Now that you mention Schenker(i could go even further to Heavy Hitters but Written in the sand IMHO ruined the run)
I only like the first two of these. A better comparison to the schenker ufo albums would be the scorpions lonesome crow through tokyo tapes
