it's really haunting and gothic when context of the song is the state of the city of Perth, the city in the middle of nowhere, and its people after Eric Edgar Cooke murders. It has the right mood, but the song is not like obviously Joy Division, but that's fine
The Triffids had so many melancholical or dark songs, it's just has more feelings, more complex emotions. Some of them are just like the paintings of Andrew Wyeth for me, dunno. Their sound is unique and vocal is so passionate. Just love it.
