Back to Grendel?
When that's that new mini coming out?

Hello, Storyteller.

You mentioned you had some Transformers comics lying around. Could be a nice change of pace.

The Authority please.

Mr Sinister's gossip column is my new favorite thing. Theories that the Age of Ultron extra Wolverine and Sue Storm might show up? Extremely my shit. and Hickman tweeting about bringing in Al Ewing.

seconding Grendel. wasn't there some p craig russell someone wanted also?

I re-read a bit of Empowered after the last thread and I forgot how annoying the fucking magic belt is.

....

...........

Attached: Gen13_Bootleg_11_05.jpg (1024x1571, 480K)

where do we want to go in Grendel, there's so much of it?

I can always run some PCR opera stories too

Attached: Gen13_Bootleg_11_06.jpg (1024x1570, 547K)

>I can always run some PCR opera stories too
I'd be down for that.

At least the Eppy or Prime stuff.
PCR sounds like a fun time too

Lemme see what I have in scans since I own it in hard copy

If I had actual scans of 'äch bin wieder da' I'd try to translate it as I ran it, lol

Attached: Gen13_Bootleg_11_07.jpg (1024x1586, 575K)

this is so very Grunge

Attached: Gen13_Bootleg_11_08.jpg (1024x1578, 528K)

Does anyone know the name of that flamboyant fashion style that uses a lot of black and white, jutting points, and swirls? Tends to be associated with the rich metropolitan crowd around the mid 80s to early 90s? Incorporates a fair amount of surrealist art?

I have Night Music, so I have Pelleas and Salome, at least

Attached: Gen13_Bootleg_11_09.jpg (1024x1591, 480K)

DANGEROUSLY FURRY

Attached: Gen13_Bootleg_11_10.jpg (1024x1576, 490K)

so what's everyone reading/playing

Attached: Gen13_Bootleg_11_11.jpg (1024x1591, 459K)

okay, is this legal? Mark one off on the "shit Gen13's crossed over with" list

Attached: Gen13_Bootleg_11_12.jpg (1024x1615, 617K)

I played FE3Houses to the point of boredom but I'm gonna give it another shot now they've put in a harder difficulty.

I haven't been keeping up with comics at all.

...goddammit

Attached: Gen13_Bootleg_11_13.jpg (1024x1578, 568K)

Ruh-roh.

Attached: Gen13_Bootleg_11_14.jpg (1024x1566, 566K)

Got started on Control. It's honestly pretty good so far, and the brazenness of it is just plain respectable. I picked it up because people were saying it was just SCP Foundation: The Video Game, but I had no idea how much it really went for it, even down to the collectable documents. Love it.

Fantastic

Attached: Gen13_Bootleg_11_15.jpg (1024x1562, 460K)

dat ass

Attached: Gen13_Bootleg_11_17.jpg (1024x1567, 517K)

I mean, Wildstorm and Hanna Barbara are both owned by Warner Bros, so...

Scooby Doo had its 50 anniversary yesterday. Fuck.

What's the brief gist of the plot? I see people posting physics stuff from it but nothing about the story

Attached: Gen13_Bootleg_11_18.jpg (1024x1557, 524K)

Attached: Gen13_Bootleg_11_19.jpg (1024x1577, 554K)

I'm gonna wait for a sale but I've been thinking through and about the ongoing Greedfall Discourse and the question of how RPGs determine and reward morality and how they direct player attention and choice

Attached: Gen13_Bootleg_11_20.jpg (1024x1571, 399K)

sweating dude seems pretty exploitable

Attached: Gen13_Bootleg_11_21.jpg (1024x1557, 281K)

This psychic lady named Jesse walks into the not-Foundation's headquarters looking for her missing brother, only to find the place empty and the director dead from suicide. She picks up the magic gun, and it chooses her to be the new Director. Now she has to clear the place of a hostile force that possesses the staff. Also, there's some manner of entity in her head that she talks to a lot.

Attached: Gen13_Bootleg_11_22.jpg (1024x1568, 519K)

The Kotaku article on that really made me kinda fume. Like fuck, not everything has to be woke in precisely your preferred way

thank you

There were some good comments on that article--the dude talking about the tough choices at the end of DA2 and how they can affect your gameplay, and how much players HATED that, was fairly on-target.

This is what interests me: should it be 'easier' to play the accommodating centrist route which is arguably the one turning a blind eye to injustice, and harder to take a more liberatory route that strikes against institutions--is that more realistic? How should a game 'reward' players? Should a game reward players for certain paths more than others?

Attached: Gen13_Bootleg_11_23.jpg (1024x1543, 491K)

Oh, of course there's Greedfall discourse. Why am I even surprised?

>Kotaku
user. Come now.

You're welcome.

Because some twitter reactions I found basically said "you CAN buck the system but you'll pay for it--so she's telling on herself by talking about taking the nice easy centrist route."

Whereas in my extensive experiences, what some players want is for the game to explicitly reward you for taking the 'correct' path (free the mages, liberate the elves, etc.)

It was absolutely inevitable, but I'm not uninterested in some of the mechanical questions raised

Attached: Gen13_Bootleg_11_24.jpg (1024x1586, 521K)

>artist is into furry and Scooby-Doo
>makes his characters meet Shag and turn furry
Man, that was a much better time. Why can't authors go back to inserting their interests and fetishes into comics instead of their politics?

>reading kotaku
Are you literally retarded? Like with a medical conclusion and everything?

this all reminds me I still have a ton of Witcher 3 sitting unfinished

Attached: Gen13_Bootleg_12_00fc.jpg (1024x1583, 411K)

This is the first I’m hearing of greedfell and it sounds interesting.

I stalled on Fire Emblem cause I had a ton of support conversations I didn’t watch to get through. Good to hear they added a harder difficulty cause I wanted to do at least an eagle playthrough

Would probably need to play it to see how much leeway it gives in letting you fight the system. But like, I don't really have an issue with a colonial RPG only giving you problematic choices.

The Expeditions games (Conquistador and Viking) are kinda like that. They remove a lot of historical sexism from the setting but they keep in a lot of other nasty shit and you'll never be making a clean slate choice. The games are focused on a historical setting, so I feel like that's okay?

I also have a soft spot for when a game in general gives you the nice person choice and doesn't reward you for it, i.e. are you really a nice person

it's been on the map for a while as "small promising studio with material Bioware players should like", which means it has also attracted Bioware-level and style of discourse. Now it's actually out and people are playing.

Attached: Gen13_Bootleg_12_00ic.jpg (1024x1573, 369K)

Am I the only one who feels like this looks somehow completely innocent and unerotic? I don't know if it's the gymnast-type body or something about the art. It's really weird. This should be hot with how skimpy she's dressed.

Attached: Gen13_Bootleg_12_01.jpg (1024x1598, 461K)

Attached: Gen13_Bootleg_12_02_03.jpg (1900x1461, 805K)

I started BE, then swerved because I realised it was gonna be my preferred route and I wanted to do it perfect. So I played the other two but then I got too bored to keep playing. Hard really is too easy though and Classic is pointless with the number of resets they give you. My experience of high difficulties in FE games has been that they are more frustrating than challenging but I'd like to at least complete the route I most wanted to.

most comics art is pretty unerotic even when it's trying to be desu

>A villain, my dear, has certain responsibilities.
... Welp. Gotta respect the honesty.

I feel like a game rewarding or punishing the player for their choices will ultimately come down to what side the writer(s) takes. Granted, that gets a bit hazy when we're talking about a AAA game that has marketing bullshit watering it down, but a smaller company like Focus is going to be less concerned with muh broad demographic, and can just do what they want.

That's also a choice--the writers can try to balance both sides in terms of reward/interest, or they can prefer one or the other. I think I tend to prefer balanced sides, but I'm not averse to rewarding a player for going to more effort, you know?

I’m playing “chemistry homework that makes you want to die”

It seriously delivers on the titles promise

There was a really good JSA/Infinity Inc thread the other day that actually made it to over 300 replies, it was great

Attached: Gen13_Bootleg_12_09.jpg (1024x1590, 458K)

Hey OP. Coming in late.

what are you in the mood for? Serious, moody, anthology, lighthearted, etc?

oh shit, that's great

Attached: Gen13_Bootleg_12_10.jpg (1024x1592, 386K)

change of pace, mostly

Attached: Gen13_Bootleg_12_11.jpg (1024x1596, 408K)

To last thready who asked why Lopresti got top billing-he was also on art.

It probably doesn't help that it's Caitlin. She's far too pure for the fanservice to even come across as sexual anymore.

Having the good path be more difficult is an interesting one, cause that carries the inherent lesson that being a good person is inherently difficult. An idea that could have its own discourse.

In rare cases though, it can also go the opposite way, having the evil path be either so hard it becomes cheap, or having the requirements be so tedious that it isn't fun. Undertale definitely does the latter, for example.

desuarchive.org/co/thread/109924148/

>soldiers and mines
Bah, small-time! Even the fattest, laziest NEET would work himself into the grave for his very own bunny- dog- or cat-girl.

Tedium is a game experience that needs to be parceled out thoughtfully because I'm too old for that shit now

Have you ever run Top 10?
Something moodier could be Moonshadow, but that is a little long at 12 double-sized issues.

I have never run Top 10.

Attached: Gen13_Bootleg_12_15.jpg (1024x1610, 405K)

Yep, this makes it official — the artist can't into erotica. You'd have to TRY to blow making this sort of overt fan-service appealing and he does it effortlessly.

I have Top 10, who knew? Let's try that out tomorrow.

Attached: Gen13_Bootleg_12_16.jpg (1024x1610, 499K)

hell yeah hell yeah cop procedurals.

Well, if you ever decide to play Undertale, just be nice to everyone, because Genocide route is deliberately not fun.

Tedium can work as a design element though, such as establishing the utter mundanity of the protagonist's life before the adventure, or if you get thrown in prison, etc.

Oh, sure, it just has to be very, very carefully measured. And not unintentional. I don't care if I have to fight a boss naked, just give me the Ribbon at the end instead of putting it in a fucking RNG container.

...I'm still mad at ff12 for that, huh, I actually am.

Attached: Gen13_Bootleg_12_19.jpg (1024x1605, 459K)

Attached: Gen13_Bootleg_12_20.jpg (1024x1609, 431K)

i'm so mad i'm gonna buy that 7 remake

never played the original

Bobby is a lot dumber here than usual.

It looks sweet. I can't wait to see Cloud in a dress

yeah, he is

the retro graphics are part of the charm and IDK I am just generally opposed to the degree of retool they're doing on it.

Attached: Gen13_Bootleg_12_21.jpg (1024x1595, 437K)

you could even do a storytime of pain for that one conway sequel

Unpopular opinion, I actually like the opening of Twilight Princess because of the tedium. Link is just some rando farmer, he's got friends and a girlfriend. And then the bokoblins show up. It's great.

FFVII Remake looks fucking awesome, and I have never played any FF games. Dat Tifa tho. Damn.

I saw this first ad so many times on MTV, guys

He's been around Grunge too long.

surprise pathos!!!

thanks for reading, let's try out some TOP TEN tomorrow

lego time for me

Attached: Gen13_Bootleg_12_23.jpg (1024x1610, 432K)

Do you have scans, or digital? I think I have an HD trade somewhere around here

looks like fairly good scans

I had no idea I even had it

I had never heard about Greedfall until I happened on a link to an article by a dude lamenting the fact that colonial morality isn't cut and dry and you weren't allowed to murder all the colonial leadership in the name of the utopian indigenes.

Is Top Ten the police procedural one or the Doc Samson one?

police procedural.

Thanks for posting as always, Storyteller.

>Scooby Doo and Isle of Dr. Moreau
That's some weird double dipping, but sure.

I have heard the name Top 10, but I know literally nothing about it. Should be interesting.

>but I know literally nothing about it. Should be interesting.
"what's it like to be a police officer in a world where almost everyone has some kind of superpowers?"
Moore writing procedural one-and-done issues. You've seen a bit of it if you have watched True Detective season 1

nice, the trade's just over 500mb so I'd have to break it up or find a better host that zippy for it.
I guess I could unzip it, and rezip it in smaller chunks if I had to.
There's a lot of background detail in that series

Bump

here's a random page

Said it before, and will say it again:
Bobby is worse than Grunge. Grunge at least gets that Sarah ain't into him.
He is kinda horning into Grunge's turf with all these dumb jokes, though.

Here's the digital. I've split the file up. Let me know if you want it.

Attached: Top 10 Vol 1 TPB (2015) (Digital) (DR & Quinch-Empire) 014.jpg (1987x3056, 1.95M)

Thats maybe the one thing im realy interested in.
How does a high res crossdressing Cloud look?

I'm still working on PS2/3 backlog, and My computer is pretty weak. I don't need a Final Fantasy remake. Fuck, I pretty much never bother beating them anyway.

>What's the brief gist of the plot?
FBI sets up shop in the oldest haunted house in existence and it goes about as well as you'd expect.

Is being a trash panda, a garbage bear, a Raccoon, really better than being a pig?

Thanks for running, OP.
See you tomorrow for the inevitable countdown to rape.

I won't say no

>furry can't be harnessed for profit
Dr. Monstreau: mad scientist, closeted furfag, holder of the prestigious "wrongest man ever" award.

You're not wrong

I wonder why rape was so popular in the late 80's early 90's. Was it for shock value and attention or were the people doing it just perverts using any excuse to do it?

The incest-molestation in Swamp Thing was definitely designed to make you completely repulsed by the villain. It did get attention, because that was the first issue of Swamp Thing to be released without any CCA approval.
Then Moore did it again a few months later with a two issue Vigilante arc. That story successful got the book to never visit the CCA again

So you're saying it's just lazy writing? A one-page fix to setting-up your villain as an nonredeemable piece of shit?
