what are your secret shame animated series and/or movies you don't get tired seeing and/or can't admit to friends that you like it.
pic related, I love watching this movie though i'll never have the guts to admit it to my friends

im drunk right now but you know. there is something about this movie that makes me feel weird and no i don't mean like in a lewd way or because im a furfag. is hard to explain but perhaps is nostalgia either way this among other movies makes me feel just weird, wonder if there is even a word for that
slow day at Yea Forums huh?
i watch cartoons
>secret shame
Balto is fucking based though
It's called the end of Summer, thank Christ.
i think i know what you mean user, i have that weird sensation watching some old movie like pic related, too. i can't really tell why but i don't get that when watching disney movies.
i remember balto being a good movie tho, dude did his job and ended being a hero
he didn't do shit he ran the shortest part of the race of mercy
sucks his sequels were a sad excuse for quick cashgrab. like disney, they just want to milk whichever movie turns out "good"
Why? Seriously why?
i don't know about you OP but jenna is what caused me to find girls with thick brows hot
i don't know. i have friends who like animated movies but maybe its because not many remember it so bringing it up would make me sound like some furfag
I'm pretty sure most people outside of internet, even Yea Forums don't know what a furfag is, so take it easy.
Same but I know it's because I want to fuck Balto
this style is a mix between don bluth and disney, its weird its from neither afaik and yet there is something peculiar about balto i can't point out what
it made by the same studio as the American tale sequel
isn't american tale a don bluth movie?
I'm guessing cel animation with high frame-rates is what tends to give this impression. It's prone to physical aging like traditionally acclaimed art.
im sure it's more than just being autistic over animation techniques. i can say there is some sadness into it but maybe if this thread gets more active i might talk further or who knows. im drunk to process the words i want to type
The first one is, but the second one was made by Spielberg and his studio Amblimation.
OP, but also the Rudolph movie.
No, not -that- Rudolph movie, the one that isn't fucking creepy. The 1998 one.
Hmmm. I got really invested in Star vs earlier this year.
>end of summer
>it's the middle of September
>school has been in session for nearly a month
user...
>The 1998 one.
do you have a pic?
Everyone always talks about the chase scene, but my personal favorite scene is right here.
youtube.com
are we having a balto thread? because in all seriousness i wouldn't mind
seriously? does this needs to be filled with porn just so anyone can discuss anything?
People who would look at me weird for liking cartoons are no friends of mine. Get better friends, OP.
as much as i love balto, i have to admit the movie is a bit cringey buuut i admit i liked the ET reference
It's 2019 and cringe means nothing.
roll eyes? what's the proper word then?
balto its cute, i can't explain why i love it but i kinda relate to him for feeling like an outcast
I wish I could get a single person to watch this movie with me because it's a lot of fun if you love simple, cartoony animation. But there's no way in hell I will ever say out loud to a friend, "Do you want to watch Captain Underpants with me?".
man now i want to see his movies
>Not openly enjoying things
I'm not gonna say I watch cartoons at a job interview, but my friends know I love Pickle and Peanut
>Pickle and Peanut
But why
well duh, i mean some stuff are ok to share with just friends, not necessarily everyone unless you are some e-whore. is just that i never knew anyone who also watched balto
jewel pet sunshine is the on thing I don't think I will ever get any one to watch
you should it very good
i actually enjoy watching rock dog. i love their style though the story is kinds weak but i enjoy it
I have a soft spot for The Lion King 2 and other Disney VHS sequels. In fact I probably watched it more than the original movie. Not to say I thought it was better than the original, but it was a much slower and calmer movie that lent itself to more rewatches. Everyone rolls their eyes at the Disney Sequels but I think some of them are pretty ok.
it was only ok because this was the only sequel(s) where they didn't drop the quality. the only disney sequels i can think of not having that quality dropped its lion king, the rescuers and bambi
man, balto just has something that really gets me. i dont know if i should call it nostalgia, but i feel some sadness thinking about it, i think im just attached to the movie for a strange reason.
Most people I hear into it are in for the waifu, but I know people legit like that film too
i just love how many characters are so expressive, plus the voice of the dog is good too though the story is meh and it's weird seeing the chinese atmosphere
Does webcomics count? Because there's some really shitty webcomics out there I follow that I wouldn't want anyone I know to know I read. Faux Pas and Carry On are probably at the top of that list.
Rock-a-Doodle
You can openly admit to your friends that you enjoy animation without also mentioning, "By the way, my favorite TV show is Trolls on Netflix".
I have found memories of watching the 101 show as a kid and still do from time to time but would never want to watch it with some one
also teacher pet is really good
Dude, it's a legit 7.8/10 movie, only hampered byt the obligatory magical kung fu for the chinese, and some less than detailed budget CGI.
This maybe? I can't imagine sitting down and watching this with anyone I know without them saying "what the fuck is wrong with you?"
it helped that it wasn't just a plot rehash of the original.
that song at the end is a bittersweet touch to add but generally i liked it a lot
i kinda like the kung fu shit because it worked as a way to show how passionate was he by the music although im only nitpick how his dad did not bother to have more than one son or the part were he got over the betrayal he felt from the cat but like i said, is just nitpicking
I have pretty normie taste so there's not much "secret shame" thing going on.
As for shows that I'll never recommend despite liking it is probably Beast Wars. It's just aged so so, poorly on the visual spectrum that I don't expect it to appeal to anyone in modern day.
I love Arashi no Yoru ni! I never get tired of it. Except for when I do.
i remember wanting the velociraptor because i liked his spinning weapon, but my parents got me the gorilla optimus
i remember watching it with my exgf, and discovered my bisexuality
sheep or wolf that is the question user
wolf
Based
Yes, kung fu is tied into the plot. Sadly, it annoyed me with its presence until it did. Hence no 9/10.
i think it could've done better, i don't mind it, in fact it was perfectly integrated, still i would've preferred that instead of being an only child he was the youngest sibling wanting to do something different from family tradition and came back showing that his energy came from the music rather than traditional methods
I used to go to a friends house, they had a whole bookshelf of VHS tapes, stuff like Balto, Fern Gully, the Don Bluth Thumbalina. We're Back: A Dinosaur's Story probably hold up like crap, but I feel especially nostalgic for that one
Haven't seen Simba's Pride in eons
Tbh, I probably watched more of the direct-to-video sequels growing up than I did the original movies
>secret shame
Okay, I like lolicon and I keep some of it saved. I still prefer mainstream porn by a lot, but I guess watching too much Tiny4K stuff made me want to check something riskier over time. There. I'm obviously never confessing that to anybody.
But, if we're talking Yea Forums related stuff, even as a grown ass adult I enjoyed getting up early to watch Cartoon Network's holiday movie marathons in December, back when I had cable (probably 6 or 7 years ago, I'm 32 now). They were very fun.
I actually saw that movie fairly recently, like a month ago.
It was pretty awful.
balto turned me a furfag but i can't blame it, back in those days it was a pleasant community despite the porn, it was really fun. nowadays the community is such shit i don't want to get involved with them
Even in darkest of times, pockets of cool people survive in the most vile of communities. Take my hint, furbro.
thanks. is just that i sometimes think back how comfy it was. like it was their business unlike nowadays that they want to push it everywhere they can
Perhaps we should have another Spinel thread or another thousand cheesecake threads instead like ususal.
ikr? what happened to this board? suddenly its all about steven universe and 12 forever that
Secret guilty pleasure?
Bonkers.
god yes, sunshine is fantastic
lady, happiness and kira-deco are good too
really? is bonkers that much of a guilty pleasure? i mean is not like is some obscure show
the Land Before Time movies
Same i like really much.
Maybe it's because I too play guitar and everyone has the dream to "make it" and become a Rockstar.
The animations are good imo.
I've told about it to my best friend but that's it.
btw
I FUCKING LOVE OVER THE HEDGE
It fell from grace, but I still like it. Hard to talk about it with anyone.
is this show good?
Fuck yeah.
season one is a ride
About what I expected honestly
Did you read the Over the Hedge strip?
???? What's that, link pleaseee
Jessica the Opossum only shows up in the movie sadly.
I bet you jerk off to The Loud House.
No, I don't like cartoons for the most part, only the aforementioned movies mostly for nostalgia. I come here for the comics.
I bet you jerk off to Little Audrey comics.
I don't know who that is...
This is more like it, though.
Holy shit they are still going!
It's a good comic, I'll read it all over a couple weeks Thanks user. I didn't know it was inspired by a comic.
Was it famous? I had never heard of it, it's a strange comic to get a film off
I never heard of it until I saw the movie.
Then the movie has served its purpose.
Haha whenever my group of friends is talking about artistic matters or really anything I partecipate to the discussion by giving serious intakes or getting examples off of Over the hedge
me too, i dont have the guts to admit to my friends that i love this show yet i quote it often.
it's because it's a really good movie. Not just good, REALLY good. You are experiencing something akin to euphoria
The SAME amblimation that was supposed to make that incredible CATS cartoon, only to be shuttered for no reason, sit on the rights for twenty years, then come out with live-action garbage
The word is let people enjoy things
Surprisingly good movie. Just ask them, get out of your own head
You should've seen the original character designs, man. It was so tight
flat fox
Heavy Metal 2000.
The story is good despite the execution being kind of shitty and it also has Michael Ironside as the main villain.
I very much enjoy The Show That Must Not Be Named.
I got into it when it was getting big and I still like it a lot. I just can't be sad when I look at their cute little faces
you mean My Little Pony Friendship is Magic.
you demonize a lil girl show
he's in the right to demonize it
you really need to go outside.
Global Rule #15, my guy
In a month no one will remember what it was all about. You're worse than these kids from Hogwart.
youtube.com
This movie.
Every now and then I rewatch it in secret... For reasons...
mlp is fucking garbage get the fuck out ponyfag
shit heres the vide0 of this. its great
>saw this movie decades ago
>been into care bears ever since
>nobody outside of the internet knows this
>something about this movie that makes me feel weird
Me to.
Is it the jiggly seagull breastmeat in the 3rd movie?
I fucking love this movie! It's unironically in the top 5 of favorite Disney animated movies for me
Recently rewatched all the Disney animated films from the 70s-80s and I wouldn't consider any of them to be bad. Guess the original Rescuers would count for this thread since it usually gets placed at the bottom tier nowadays but personally I slightly prefer it over Down Under.
What's wrong with balto? why would anyone care if you like an old animated movie? I'm pretty sure they probably watched it too.
>not the sheep
Just look at its fucking eyes, user. It's asking for it.
It's the furry thing. But it shouldn't be a problem with most people considering not many are aware of the subculture.
user picking wolf over sheep shows he a bottom bitch
I wish there was more to bad sunshine isn't fully sub and that the franchise is dead
beastars is some thing I want my friends to read but they never do since the think it fur shit
I’ve been needing to watch this. Dav just writes an easy comic to read.
Just admitting that I regularly watch kids shows is bad enough, but most are dorks with weird hobbies just as bad so seeing me watching Troll Hunters while tying fishing flys really doesn't phase them.
Hell one of them got into my bbw girl folder.
How you can shit talk the Aladdin trilogy in front of the good fags of Yea Forums, I’ll never know.
What original character design? Where can I see it?
I love Darma and respect her character design, it's kind of realistic and feels authentic in a way.
But I wouldn't mind some some fat tits desu
The second movie is not that bad.
...
That makes her to me
The Norwegian version is a blast. They redid the soundtrack with a Norwegian rock band.
You could talk Skinny Puppy fans into watching it. They sampled it in one of their most known songs. Their music video even has a TV with the movie playing.
...
90's storytelling and cinematography
Dansk Jævla.
Snoop Dog loves it. No need to feel any shame over this one.
>Beastars
70's-80's Disney had SOUL. Carefully crafted characterization was at the center of every movie.
Of course NPCs will prefer the bombastic and marketable "renaissance" with its cardboard characters.
The Disney fairies movies/shorts
Holy shit, it's one of my favorite movies from when I was a kid. I mostly just loved the music and the train shit, and the idea of going to a train world. Also the villain scared the shit out of me.
Although no idea what this has to do with thread.
not that kind of weird! its more like a sentimental kind of thing
its thanks to over the hedge i end up listening to ben folds now
although some lines wish they really gave a second thought but yeah it is something akin to euphoria but mix some sadness into it
>The word is let people enjoy things
sorry but the "they should build him a statue" line comes off as pointless
>whining about an 8 hour old post
Lul.
it's a hard guilty pleasure, like eating ice cream before breakfast - you know it's bad for you but you do it anyway.
Ditto.
youtu.be
Dark Heart was my first heel face turn villain. I eat that shit up man.
i'll be honest. as much as i love that movie, for a based on a true story doesn't do a lot of justice, it should be more like "inspired by"
seriously, the villain was so well written for a movie like care bears
That song is fucking bopping though
