HOWEVER...
Well done, Disney, well done

God, I can’t stand Disney, especially nuPixar. I hope they lose the Oscars again.
>implying an anime will ever win the oscar again
They gave it to one, Spirited Away, because they wanted to give the director an Oscar. That will never happened again.
Im gonna be Taco girl on this and say can we have both without the drama?

This is actually a good reaction image for this type of shit even despite where it came from
Toy Story 4 was the Wreck it Ralph 2/Incredibles 2/How to Train Your Dragon 3/Last Jedi of sequels. Before you try to twist that as a good thing, it isn't. Every single one of those sequels bastardized everything their franchise stood for.
This. And I don’t have high hopes for Frozen II either, so the hell with Disney. I hope that anime or Genndy’s Primal wins instead.
Weathering With You is as formulaic as those films
I don’t care for Yea Forums stuff and I’d rather have that win that TS4.
It has 12 reviews compared to TS4 which has 398.
WWY is getting a lot of attention from the Toronto Film Festival while TS4 has already been forgotten.
>implying the only reason they lost wasn't:
>"Dad! I want to see Spider-Man!"
>"Are you sure? Wouldn't you rather see Ass-- I mean Incredibles 2?"
>"No, dad! I want to see Spider-Man, and I want you to buy me the new design Spider-Man pajamas, too!"
>"OK, OK!"
The Oscar's are a fucking joke, animated Oscar's much more so. Everyone literally admitted to not watching all the nominees and just giving it to whatever their child dragged them to that year.
