Became a household name along with Vader in less than 2 years

Good movies.

Good branding.

Dumb Competition.

Like it or not the MCU is the biggest superhero property to date, and with Thanos being the main villain of both infinity war and endgame, it makes sense that he is now the gold standard of cinematic villainy.

Nice joke. But he will be forgotten by the end of the year.

I'm not huge on the MCU and Disney's growing monopoly on the universe, but I still think it took balls for them to build up such a major property and have a film that ended with the villain winning alongside so many major characters getting dusted all at once.

wait til they get a load of me

Most real people don't know or give a fuck about him. He's just another generic cgi-villain. Stop being delusional.

>"Thanos will be forgotten" Says increasingly nervous DC fan for the seventh time this year

Wow you fucks are blind and stupid.

Sorry mcufag, but your favourite movies are just a bunch of a braindead popcorn flicks, that no one remembers a few weeks after release. Zero cultual impact. Jurassic World, Avatar, Fast and Furious etc. All of them makes shit tons of money via China and other third world shitholes. And yet nobody is going to remember them. Same with the MCU.

i mean....

Thanos isn't exactly new

not continuing his debut in the comics back in '73.

MCU Thanos began in 2012.

THANOS EL ROMPE ANOS

THANOS MEME

THANOS MEME

IRONMANCILLA

By teasing him for several years and building up to him being the big bad in a commercial juggernaut cinematic universe spanning 20+ movies over ten years.

This.

Suck more mousecock

that's true, even though he was great for a capeshit movie. i can't put my figner on it but he doesn't have the staying power as someone like Darth Vader.

>Good movies
>Retarded DC
>Internet

Brolin's delivering was the main factor imo. Perfect casting. He can sound intimidating even if he was reading a cooking recipe.
It's easier than ever to fall under those delusions with social media filtering your shit. You even had people claiming nobody cared for IW.

If Darth Vader survived the prequels, nothing will end him.

>2 years
I think you mean 11 years, senpai. And he's more of a Fortnite/Youtube name than a household name.

>the biggest superhero property to date
Homie, the MCU is the biggest cinematic franchise, period.

Unironically this, but I'm skeptical about the MCU's direction after seeing Phase 4's lineup. Either way, he's a long way off.

Who?

he was in some movies

I didn't even watch his movie. Too boring

If OG Thanos died at the end of Infinity War instead of End Game, then maybe he would hold his own with Vader for years to come.
It's the death that gets people, just look at G1 Optimus Prime. Yeah he died in EG, but it lacks significant importance since Thanos wasn't the main character in that story.

*SNAP*

Doom unironically will be the savior of Nu-Marvel

They teased him for years and ACTUALLY delivered on a great villain for fucking once.
