Rick screaming that Jerry is a "super predator pretending to be a retard loser" is all bullshit Rick came up with to cope with having Jerry in his daughter's life.

IE Rick is so fucking full of himself, that he can't fathom Beth would marry a feckless coward and a loser let alone have his kids.

Rick on some levels, knows that Beth getting knocked up as a teenager reflects VERY VERY VERY badly on him. In a way that proves, beyond a shadow of the doubt, that Rick isn't the smartest person in the world and a HORRIBLE father, since society in general judges fathers who can't keep their whoring daughters from getting knocked up at a young age, as failures and stupid ass fuck-ups that deserve scorn, mockery, and being treated as dumb-ass retards who couldn't do their fatherly duty and protect their daughter's chastity.

The only way Rick can cope with this knowledge, is for Rick to pretend that Jerry is just like him: an Apex Predator and super smart manipulator who TRICKED his daughter into spreading her legs for him and then not having the abortion. And that furthering this delusion, since it has ZERO basis in reality, is the fact that Rick believes that Jerry is so fucking evil, that he's literally become the mask of a failure and a loser, so that Beth reminds blind towards how he manipulated her into staying with him all these years AND to produce a second child.

And that Rick most likely attributes Morty's growing dark side and sociopathic tendencies and anti-Rick rebellious streak, to Jerry's genes. Not Morty snapping and becoming warped by his grandfather's abuse and gaslighting of Morty. Also, why Rick keeps shooting down every attempt Morty has made to get with Jessica: as Rick probably fears that Morty will knock Jessica up to trap her into marriage, the same way that Jerry trapped Beth. And that he probably considers what Toxic-Free Morty did when he fled to New York as more proof that Morty is his father's son in terms of "evil".

Jerry’s real problem is how he gets his shit together but then reverts the next episode back into his old self. If the writers could be bothered to make up a decent character dynamic that could change without sacrificing humor, then maybe we would be talking about this.

See, this plot twist would actually work better with mortys. From the very start rick tells beth and jerry that if morty spends time with him he'll be exposed to science and grow as a person, but that excuse is just to use him.
