Name one good piece of media/art from the past 60 years that’s explicitly right wing and actually good. And by that I mean openly racist or paleo-conservative/traditionalist like Stonetoss. You can’t.

I'm fine with his comics as long as they're funny. It's just that his politics are less palatable when it's obvious that he hasn't put as much time or effort into a particular strip.

His comics are actually really good when he tries to make an actual joke. But whenever he tries to bring his politics in he ends up stumbling over himself trying to make it coherent

Your first mistake was conflating right-wing beliefs with racism and paleo-conservatism.

I think it's because these very partisan comics tend to lack sincerity. There's more focus on scoring points against the other side than actually holding to any values.
Chick on the other hand might have been a loon, but he genuinely cared about the message he was spreading.
Also he had more than one artist doing tracts.

I imagine because of the deal of reporting on current events the turnaround time on any political cartoon is gonna mean it won't look great.

I'm not going to because anything I say you will dismiss as being bad because you disagree with it politically. This is a sort of problem that both sides have, it doesn't matter how good the actual quality of it is just the fact it relates to the side you hate is enough.
Seeing a specific flag on screen for 5 seconds can make someone utterly hate a show, just as much as seeing someone in a specific red hat not being a stereotypical douche can make one utterly hate a show.
I will admit though this does seem more of an overall right problem, but the left shoving their opinions down everyones throat in the first place is more then enough to make up for it in terms of horribleness

Personally I think it got overused and rundown in the first thread that had it but now its in every sort of lol thread. They took a perfectly fine horse and ran it dead in the first few minutes it was alive.

No one wants real political commentary or sharp satire. They just want strawman comics to reinforce what those side think, and hate about the other.
