So what went wrong then?

Uncle Dolfi

Scarlatti suits harpsichord, Bach suits piano.

The prelude & fugue in C sharp major 848 sounds so much better on harpsichord though

i practiced the c# minor fugue of the wtc so hard i broke my piano

Book 1?

>listened to the st matthew passion yesterday and parsifal on good friday

It's so fucking stodgy. The music I mean, never mind the recording.

k

You mean a string broke? My piano technician friend says that it's not the fault of the pianist when strings break. They can usually tell when the strings are about the break.

btw does anyone know of any recordings of the Well Tempered Clavier that feature unconventional tunings or non-equal temperament? Supposedly when Bach composed the work he intended to showcase how each key could sound good in the old temperaments but I can't find any examples

there are plenty of HIP recordings of the WTC that use fucky baroque-inspired temperaments but all of them are garbage.

>Supposedly when Bach composed the work he intended
Don't care.

death of the author/composer is a cringe meme

my dad and i got into a heated argument cuz he says barroque doesnt have a finality or rhytmn melody. And therefore is not real, like real life witch is finite and has a rhythm. He was also very drunk and keept telling me to play beethoven or verdi.

damn i wish my dad was an alcoholic art music guy instead of just a normal alcoholic

im gonna become an alcoholic to make up for the fact that no one in my family is one.

>it's a male alto recording

>it's a boy soprano recording
Yummy

>Supposedly
Its literally in the name, well temperaments are not some crazy conspiracy, you midwits are in need of some serious music history lessons.

That 95% of people didn't like it

Imagine digging your tongue into his anus while he sings "Gut Krauter von allerhand Arten"

I just did some quick detective work and I couldn't find a single recording of BWV 42 that exceeds 30 minutes. So this must be some off the grid community orchestra shit.

is this classical? apart from the singing

is anyone else autistic enough to tune their piano to be well tempered?

mahler 6 because i want to die

Reminder that there will never be a Maria Callas biopic because it would have to promote weight loss and that being fat is unhealthy and disgusting.

I'm in love

There aren't any actresses good-looking enough to play her anyway

I'll never be able to get over the surprise I felt when I realized how good this was.

Listen to the Karajan recording.

karajan's live mahler 9 is really good but every other mahler recording he made is godawful.

This one feels very unique to all the other Mozart Piano Concertos. It feels like it was written by him. and yet not at the same time.

Please respond

no, it's jazz. Simone was a classical pianist though

Wagner
Overrated: Tristan und Isolde
Underrated: Lohengrin

>parents divorced
>sister died in a car accident
>girlfriend left with the money
>moved houses with relatives and grandparents for 4 months
>grandmother toxic and abusive
>felt depressed, nihilistic, suicidal.
>grandfather comes to me, brings his old opera-playing gramophone.

And that is how I discovered "Wagner" and saved my own "Life".
W. NOTHING ELSE MATTERS.
