You mean a string broke? My piano technician friend says that it's not the fault of the pianist when strings break. They can usually tell when the strings are about the break.

btw does anyone know of any recordings of the Well Tempered Clavier that feature unconventional tunings or non-equal temperament? Supposedly when Bach composed the work he intended to showcase how each key could sound good in the old temperaments but I can't find any examples
Eli Peterson
there are plenty of HIP recordings of the WTC that use fucky baroque-inspired temperaments but all of them are garbage.

>Supposedly when Bach composed the work he intended Don't care.

my dad and i got into a heated argument cuz he says barroque doesnt have a finality or rhytmn melody. And therefore is not real, like real life witch is finite and has a rhythm. He was also very drunk and keept telling me to play beethoven or verdi.

damn i wish my dad was an alcoholic art music guy instead of just a normal alcoholic
Ayden Barnes
im gonna become an alcoholic to make up for the fact that no one in my family is one.
I just did some quick detective work and I couldn't find a single recording of BWV 42 that exceeds 30 minutes. So this must be some off the grid community orchestra shit.
karajan's live mahler 9 is really good but every other mahler recording he made is godawful.

>parents divorced >sister died in a car accident >girlfriend left with the money >moved houses with relatives and grandparents for 4 months >grandmother toxic and abusive >felt depressed, nihilistic, suicidal. >grandfather comes to me, brings his old opera-playing gramophone.
And that is how I discovered "Wagner" and saved my own "Life". W. NOTHING ELSE MATTERS.
